Personally I can live with the restrictions like always online, activations etc, because it is not an issue for me. HOWEVER there is no way in hell I want to live with them.

I'm still very undecided on whether to buy a next gen console at all, but here's my take on the issues you raised:
Do I want a console that is "always on"?
Don't care. I imagine it won't use much more power in standby than my DVR, I leave my desktop on all the time etc.
Do I want a system where all games are linked to my GT?
Not ideal, but I'm used to it with Kindle e-books, iPhone/iPad apps etc. Just the way things are going as we move closer to only having digital media.
Do I want a system where I cannot lend games to buddies?
Don't care as I'm a very casual gamer and don't have any local friends who game so it's a moot point.
Do I want a console where I have to pay full MSRP for "used" games?
This kind of sucks, but I seldom buy used anyway. And with the little I game these days I mainly just buy a handful of blockbuster type releases new at launch each year anyway. And definitely would only do that going forward as I want to get back to just playing a few big releases and never having a backlog.
I was worried a bit about having no way to trade/sell games to recoup some of the purchase cost as I always do that as I never replay games. But they've said there will be someway to trade games so I'll have to wait and see what that entails to form an opinion on that. Currently I just sell things on the Amazon marketplace cheap (set to the lowest price) to get rid of things quickly as I do it more to just get rid of the disc/case than to make money. Stuff that's not worth $10+ I just donate to Goodwill.
