Xenogears Official Guide (reprint?) preorder @ Amazon $14.99

If only they would reprint the Xenosaga Ep. 1 guide, then I'd be set! I've had the Xenogears guide since I bought it for a penny years ago. ^_^
 
I got my most recent Xenogears guide at a pawn shop earlier this year for free (!) The guy told me I could have it since I was buying something else. One of my favorite cheapass finds ever :)
 
Grrr ... I traded New Super Mario Bros for this earlier this year for a used copy. Wtf, now my copy is worthless. To be honest, my sister bought the game for me - then I traded it, got it in mint condition - now my sister bought it again. I paid only for shipping, so I can't complain. I wanted it because of Xenogears, not to resell. Heck, I may get this just to have two. Thanks, OP.
 
What other guide reprints have happened lately? Is that why I actually saw a Chrono Cross guide on Buy.com (on preorder)?
 
Well...shit, they're reprinting guides now?

Guides have been the only thing I've been "collecting" lately since they usually NEVER get reprinted.
 
Every reprint makes me realize the folly of collecting as an investment. Unless you get some inside advance information, a reprint means losing money for a reseller.
 
For some reason the order doesn't go through with amazon. Has it worked for anyone else? Maybe they fucked up

Amazon got some Shadow Hearts From the New World guides in stock a few weeks ago, but they evaporated after a few days.
 
Hm. I'm thinking that must surely be some kind of mistake, unless they are going to release Xenogears as a PS1 download for the PS3/PSP combo. I mean, shit, reprinting the guides w/o reprinting the game? Makes no sense.

That's what I sorta thought too, but at the same time, the Final Fantasy VII and VIII guides are still in print and readily available at most large bookstores (and probably still selling moderately well, I would bet).

If I had to bet on one, I'm gonna guess it's a mistake, but certainly not IMPOSSIBLE for the reason cited above.
