I picked up a couple of giant CD sleeves FULL of high quality/RPG/rare PS1 and PS2 games, about 100 games total, for $100 a few years back off of craigslist this way. All disc only, but it had every single PS1 and PS2 FF game, Valkyrie Profile, Brigandine, Legend of Mana, Arc the Lad collection, Lunar Silver and Blue, Star Ocean, ToD 1 and 2, all the RE games, MvC 1 and 2, just on and on.

Some scorned woman had them and they belonged to her ex husband or ex boyfriend, can't remember all of the details but basically she punted him from the house and was selling all of his shit. I think I posted about it in the craigslist finds thread way back when.

It's not really sad, he's just asking for a free basketball. There's a place called Freecycle, where it's available across the country, where people give away stuff instead of using Craigslist. I've seen some nice things given away, like Genesis, furniture, and appliances.

dood, freecycle is fucked. everytime I see something listed, it disappears 3 minutes later or the person never replies. Someone posted a box of D&D books about 3 months back and never posted they were picked up (or replied).

its a good idea, but man you really got to be one your game to get some things off there.
 
If that guy lived near me I would offer him like 5 basketballs. I have a garage full of them that haven't been used for about a decade but still hold air.

Dude just wants to play some ball and could keep someone out of trouble.

You definitely have to be quick, but I have gotten some amazing things from freecycle. Try offering some items - I have found that if people see you offering things they are more likely to pick you to give stuff to.

Word. I've only used it once, a few years ago, and never will again. Someone on there had a weight set (just the weights, no bar or bench), described to be in good condition, just dusty and taking up space. I went to go pick it up and half of the weights (the sand-filled plastic type) were cracked and leaking sand. WTF am I going to do with what is pretty much unusable junk? None of them would even be close to the proper weight, so the bar would be off-balance and trying to lift like that would do more harm than good.

I told them to forget it, thanked them for wasting my time and left.

EDIT: I guess I could have let them leak out in the trunk of my car and had myself a portable sandbox....
 
I decided to contact one of those "im looking for this game I had as a kid called stadium events" jerks, saying I have the game and showed him pics and everything....he offered me $50!!!! LOL I did it before too with this d-bag who buys 80s toys and he offered me $100 for my MIB he-man Eternia playset (worth about $1200). Its always the same story; they act like they dont know what the item is, refuse to make an offer, then eventually offer some insane lowball amount, then if you counter with "I have another offer for *actual value*" they say "well you better take the money and run because it isnt worth anywhere near that!"

The Kinect Games are hardly worth anything and Fable 2 and 3 & Kameo are like 4.99-9.99 each. :lol:

I would say 200-400, depending on which generation it is. He should throw in Turtle Beach to sweeten the deal.

I was under the impression that or best offer was the listing price or next best price below the listing price. Maybe I'm wrong. There could be a bidding war going on for it I guess but I somehow doubt it because my city is not usually that crazy about games. I found a WIi U with NSMB U for $140 and a 3DS for $50 before and there was no such bidding war and those are the newest consoles out. If I'm the one who's wrong in this just tell me and i'll say ok im wrong. Even if he's telling the truth he must have turned down someone who offered his listing price.

Lol I wasn't aware it had become rare since I bought it 3 weeks ago. I was able to get it for $30 free shipping on Ebay like new condition. :roll:
