I don't have a link to the ad itself, but there was an ad that got reposted 4 times on my local craigslist that was as follows:

Title: Rare games

Dungeons and Dragons: Heroes - Xbox, $60
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - Xbox, $60
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy - Xbox, $60
Mario Party 8 - GC, $40
Bard's Tale (new and sealed) - PS2, $20

Then he had some really snarky paragraph about how he wouldn't even respond to "lowballs." All of these games were used (except for the last one), and they're not worth nearly as much as he wanted. The last three times he posted the ad, someone made a response ad (one time was me, I dunno who the others were) calling him on his bullshit. Made me feel a little better when I saw that I wasn't the only one who noticed how much of an ass this guy was being.
 
I'm sure this has been posted before in here, but one thing that really grinds my gears is when people post "x number of games for sale" or whatever on CL but then don't post what games they are. At first I thought they were just scammers, but after replying to a lot of them and usually getting replies back, I've realized that a lot of them seem to be video game illiterate people (maybe parents selling their kids games?) who don't understand why it's important to list the games they're selling.

At face value, possibly a very good deal, but the person texted me a pic of all the games and I'm not even exaggerating when I say that a good 80% of them are old sports games... only 6 of the 36 (way less than the supposed 50) aren't.

Why is that an issue? As long as they follow the requirements for a gun transfer in PA I don't see why it's a big deal.

Why are people so scared of guns?
 
There's always ads on CL that are looking to trade for firearms. Maybe the guy is done with video games and wants to get more into shooting? It's not like someone is going to hand him a loaded weapon. Depending on the handgun, could be a pretty solid trade.
 
I see quite a few like this:

not nearly as bad as some of the other stuff in here, but I just don't see the point. almost anyone who comes to buy your $4 game is going to spend that much or more in gas money getting to you in the first place. I understand being frugal, but seriously, trying to sell something for only $4 on craigslist? seems pointless.

As someone who just purchased a Wii system of Craigslist unfortunatley listings like this seem to be the norm. With the Wii U coming out soon alot of people seem to be selling their Wii's, but sadly none of them have a clue.

I cant even count how many people were selling Wii bundles with some games and shovelwar for $300+, when I contacted them and let them know I could get a brand new wii in stores for around half what they were offering the typical response was "yeah but I put $300 for all this stuff years ago".

Even the person who I eventually bought my Wii from said multiple times how much it hurt to let it go knowing what they paid for everything new.

Some people are so clueless.

This is my biggest pet peeve too. I dont understand how people are too lazy to do 3 min extra work of listing which games they are selling, would mean the difference between a sale and sitting on a bundle.
 
I find that annoying as well, but sometimes it works in your favor if you send them an email and they have a game that's rare and they don't know it.
 
Around here I see a lot of people selling DirecTV boxes. Am I wrong in thinking that you're renting those boxes, so why in the Hell would you sell them?
