    Want to install an SSD

Honestly, all the SSD setup and "precaution" stuff like disabling prefetch and indexing etc. isn't really necessary. The idea behind it is that NAND memory in a SSD will wear out after you do so many writes to the drive. Prefetch, indexing, etc is supposed to cut down on unneeded writes...

    Want to install an SSD

I got an Intel 120GB one, and have only used ~30GB of it. I've got win7 pro 64-bit, Starcraft 2, and Office on there. A few other random programs, but nothing huge. I'd say 64GB is probably sufficient if you just want your OS on there. Yes, it's just like any other SATA drive. Same SATA...

Official Microsoft Points and Xbox Live subscriptions Deal Thread - Read rules in OP!

Haha, especially since you can't really say this is the OP's thread anymore. He made the first post a wiki, then abandoned it. Now he comes back and says "no bing discussion?" Haha.

Any European online shops that ship to USA?

I'll admit ignorance here, since I've never needed to order anything from Europe... Anyway, there's this xbox 360 shooter getting released in Europe. It will be compatible with North American consoles. It's $65 plus shipping on ncsx, but that's a little steep. I just want to shop around...

Where to buy a UK power adapter in the US

Your best bet really is to get a UK power brick. It is *not* surprising that you can use the power bricks interchangeably. MS (and all electronics manufacturers) want to make these things as modular as possible. The xbox itself runs on 12V DC. The power brick outputs 12V DC. The thing...

a few of the bit generations GBA games in stock at play-asia

waxHead, did you ever learn Digidrive's scoring mechanic? I ask, because that one was probably my 1st or 2nd favorite of the series. If you don't understand it, I can understand it not being very fun. If that's the case, try checking out the guides on gamefaqs, and give it another chance. It...

    Obama Care Could Be Deadly

Interestingly, you could still drive legally without having an auto insurance policy, depending on your state. In California, you could instead let the DMV hang onto $35k of your money to cover the minimum liability requirement...

    Zelda without a guide?

I'm a firm believer in not using guides. You can finish just about any game without a guide. It may take a little longer, because you don't have a guide spoon feeding you everything, but I think that adds to the enjoyment. Definitely true for the Zelda games too.

    Got a couple saturn imports

I don't remember if Vampire Savior required the 4MB cart or not, but the ST-Key might not be enough.

Just bought a Sega Saturn, what next???

My 2 cents on "memory cards." There's actually 2 things that people could be talking about. Both are optional. First, is a "memory card" which holds your save game data. It's not really necessary since the Saturn has some onboard memory for your save data. I don't recall the exact...

Has anybody here had problems with their launch Wii?

You don't need to do that. If you turn off the WiiConnect24 (or something) in the internet settings, it'll turn off (red light) when you hit the power button instead of just standby (yellow light).
