Are the ymmv...maybe I always go to late in the day?Yall want make some real money? Go buy ranch wings and slang them on the corner. Turned thisinto $20
Probably, some Walmart's don't have a food court so they won't have them. If your store does sell hot food then they should have them. I think they close around 4-5pm though. It's probably best to go early because the have a cut-off time of when they stop cooking. Are the ymmv...maybe I always go to late in the day?
Best to get them while they're fresh too.Probably, some Walmart's don't have a food court so they won't have them. If your store does sell hot food then they should have them. $1 credit to $1 cash? And outside of California?Oh, I'll share, if you PM. I don't want lurkers *cough*SDers*cough* to completely ruin it.
You'd need to be able to go back in time by months to pull that off.Best to get them while they're fresh too.
Not for me, unless you count times I get a "sorry this item is out of stock/not available email," on at least one item every single freakin' order I've made! But it is actually refunded correctly as just the specific amount for that cancelled item. Last time I went during the Target trade in week, they cancelled Lego Marvel for Xbone saying it was out of stock but I walked over to the games section and IT WAS RIGHT THERE IN THE CASE IN FRONT... OMG...SMH! Another time the website said they had 7 Ni No Kuni instock and like always I got an email for only 2 of them being available for pickup. I go to the store and look in the aisle where the value games are located and there are no NI No Kuni behind the Ni No Kuni price tag. Then I go over to the case and at the bottom where they put overstock game I discover all 5 other copies. Every time store pickup ends up being more hassle and time consuming than if I just go buy the items off the shelf normally myself!Yo guys so there's this weird thing sometimes with GCs like back during triple trade in at target I bought 2 titanfalls but as I went to pick them up I got refunded and left with product. Assumed it was just a up but I went again and bought some sht for like $30 and then 2 weeks later (now) I apparently got refunded. Is anybody else getting randomly refunded?

IIRC someone said they were going to start selling them this fall, but it will probably be mostly Gears of War 3 and Ni No Kuni.I was in the other day and all the Demo TVs where playing an advert in a loop about how you can trade games in now. Forgive me for not reading all 180 some pages, but where do all the games go? hopefully Walmart will be selling them back to give other retailers reason to keep their used game prices in line.
I believe it's only per transaction. Just do 5 transactions thenI don't know if it's been posted but you can only trade in 2 of the same game now. Even dif systems count as the same game. I tried to trade in 5 AC and 5 CODs and the system wouldn't allow her to enter more than 2.
They have good trade in values and have lightning fast turnarounds. I prefer them now to amazon though BB still has slightly better TIVs. Sorry you can't flip and exploit them. So, aside from the flipapalloza of Ni No Kuni and Gears of War, there has been nothing worthwhile to trade at all. We all made jokes that this would happen, but now it has and there are no jokes. Only tears...
That isn't what I meant. I mean don't see any good trade in values. Even just games we buy to play and then trade in don't have decent values. I'm not talking about flipping. I mean any game at all has low values. They have good trade in values and have lightning fast turnarounds. I prefer them now to amazon though BB still has slightly better TIVs. Mmmmm. Pita.Sadly Wal-mart hardly has any video game deals and getting them to PM is a pita.
ThanksIIRC someone said they were going to start selling them this fall
It is a little rough. Target had some TV show season for half of what Walmart was selling. I even had the flyer with me and the Cashier was not sure it was real and they had to talk to a manager about it. If i remember right they even called Target and asked and finally gave it to me after they got off the phone with Target.Sadly Wal-mart hardly has any video game deals and getting them to PM is a pita.
Poor Walmart.
Yep, some solid prices on some games. A couple that stuck out are Fire Emblem: Awakening $22 and Yoshi's New Island $17. I also remember thinking a couple of Wii U games had decent prices. I believe Lego City was like $27, which was decent. I was also happy to see that they all appeared in good shape compared to what I see at Gamestopseen used games at my walmart first time yesterday admit their prices are decent for some games. The thing that shocked me is how good the shrink wrap is looks like brand new game they could sell for new lol.
Walmart doesn't accept games for trade if all original contents aren't included. They are the strictest of all retail stores when it comes to trade. Target is a close secondI was also happy to see that they all appeared in good shape compared to what I see at Gamestop
You only need original case and artwork for WM.Walmart doesn't accept games for trade if all original contents aren't included. They are the strictest of all retail stores when it comes to trade. Target is a close second
So I expected their stock to "look" decent
Nope, they're mine! I took the art and disc out of the greatest hits (red) case and inserted them into the old standard (clear) ps3 caseI think those are actually my copies of Ni No right there. LOL
There's only one of each game there...Nope, they're mine! I took the art and disc out of the greatest hits (red) case and inserted them into the old standard (clear) ps3 case
There's definitely a second case behind the Ni No Kuni but it looks like they're selling so fast, they can't keep them in stock. Better hurry! There's only one of each game there...
Don't take quote me on this, but I have an inside source that says there will be a large shipment of those coming in soon. There's definitely a second case behind the Ni No Kuni but it looks like they're selling so fast, they can't keep them in stock. Better hurry!
So, most of your complaint is not related to the trade in (other than it taking too long), but rather the online order process and customer service.Ugh.. Time to vent. I went to Walmart yesterday because their trade values are higher than Gamestop and Best Buy. It took the CSR 30 FREAKING minutes to figure out how to do the trade, while the line continued to back up, but they finally figured it out. So then I took the credit and applied it to Infamous SS (for store pickup the same day, it was cheaper online). However, when I checked out online, I got an error saying something went wrong. Then I went back 1 page and submitted again, without realizing everything defaulted to "ship to home"...
So I immediately (within 30 minutes of placing the order) called customer service and they said they can't change it to store pickup (why??), but I could cancel and get a refund within 24 hours. She said I should get a confirmation email within a few hours. The email never came, so I called again today, only to find out my order had been shipped already.... to an address I haven't lived at in years. I never order anything from Walmart.com so obviously the shipping address was never updated. I asked them if they could change the delivery address at least, and supposedly I'll be getting a call from a supervisor... YEAH RIGHT. So now I have to wait about 2 weeks to see if my package is forwarded to my current address. If not, someone else is getting a free PS4 game, I suppose.
In summary - It's NOT worth the hassle. Lesson learned.
Umm.. ok sure, about half of my complaint was related to the online order process and customer service. The other half was related to the trade in process, and the fact that CSR's obviously aren't trained to do these. The entire process was a mess. Just wanted to warn other CAG's.So, most of your complaint is not related to the trade in (other than it taking too long), but rather the online order process and customer service.
Also, it is helpful to others if you post what games you traded, if Walmart is giving the best values for them. Thanks, and I hope they are able to fix your order.

Also, the games I traded were rather old, so not sure it would apply to most people. Split/Second, for example, was worth $4 versus about $1 at Gamestop or BB. I got $36 for Super Mario 3D World, so that was my main reason for trading at WM.
I don't really want to piss you off more than you are but I got ~42 for SM3DW in gamestop on the 50% bonus trade value (was $26 base), if you got the game recently, you could get 36 in gamestop too next week (or the following week, not sure) with the 50% bonus trade-in coupon if the current value holds ($23). And as it has been discussed, GS is bumping values 20% on Aug 18th, so maybe on that 50% bonus week you could get ~44, depending on how the base value ends.Umm.. ok sure, about half of my complaint was related to the online order process and customer service. Any date range or any further information you can provide about the promo?Got an email from walmart with a new promo? "Pre order Madden 15 and trade in 2 used games & get a 50% bonus trade in credit. "
Can you post a pic of the email. My Mario kart might be doing some boomerangs againGot an email from walmart with a new promo? "Pre order Madden 15 and trade in 2 used games & get a 50% bonus trade in credit. "
Wal-Mart wouldn't take my PS4 game for trade because it didn't have a manual, wrang up black ops 1 instead of 2 (resulting in a 18 dollar loss for me) and gave me no receipt. This was after waiting 20 minutes because it's at customer service instead of electronics.
Is wal-mart stupid or what? Many game companies start to not include manual for cost-saving.
