Official Trophy Thread - 4/21: Enhanced Trophy Lists Coming in Firmware 3.30

Started up Super Monkey Ball Vita.  Another game where I'll never get the platinum even if my life depended on it.  But it's a fun game, quite a bit better then the mobile versions I've played.

 
Oh also noticed I just hit level 19 on my trophies.  Do you guys pay a lot of attention to that level thing?  It just seems so arbitrary sometimes.

 
I think the level thing is neat, it is an easy concept to grasp, trophy points are your XP, and each time you level up it takes a larger amount of XP to get to the next level.

 
Thats probably my favorite things about the trophies. The platinum and the overall level. I wonder what level I would be if all my 360 achievements were trophies instead. :joystick:

Yeah I wish there was an easy way to convert them into one score. I'd obviously still be way behind you but it would be fun to know where I stand compared to guys like rpg, gettinmoney, etc. I've got about 4,500 achievements and 3,200 trophies.

Im about to hit 12000 achievements. And I have 1500 trophies lol. Almost equal ratio of PSN to XBL. :booty: If 360 had platinums I would have around 270-300. Depending on what arcades have platinums since some arcades on PSN have them. On 360 they are all equal.

One of my friends just broke 26000 ach. And another just broke 25000 ach. Its amazing how much they play.  :shock:

does 360 have username teams like ps3 does?

while hoverbooting in a circle for almost 2 hours to get the full front assault plat, i questioned going for trophies anymore.

 
Only got 20% completion on Catherine.  Pretty irrelevant, just bringing it up to say that Catherine is one of the stupidest fuck ing games I've played on this generation.  I actually wanted to see the story out to completion, but I just couldn't deal with the block puzzle gameplay.  I love puzzle games too, but Catherine is just sooooooo bad.

I do pay attention to it, but once you get in the 30s it takes soooo long to move the needle I have wanted to stop paying attention.

Once you get to a certain level, each level is the same amount as the last. In the lower numbers it is more like you mentioned. In case you want to read more about it...

You could use the above link and PSN Profiles to do just that with the exception of exclusive games where you would have to just guess. Quick and dirty method would be to count each 1000 gs disk based game as 1230 points since that is what a majority of the PS3 games seem to be (although it depends on trophy break down but anything with the common 51 trophy count usually is this number).

That trophy on FFA was just insane. If there was some way to keep track of where you were for each piece it would not have been as bad. The hovering part was the main one that had me worried if I had met it or not.

insanely dumb trophy. there were ways to kinda see where you stood with the distance with the skill points (glide 1 mile, hoverboot 100 miles) but to do another 1.4 gliding and another 12 hoverbooting... if you didnt boost that, you would have to legitmately play probably 100 stages.

 
I've been trying to clean up my trophies since deciding to make the PS4 my primary gaming console next gen.  I just finished 100%ing Uncharted 3 (makes me never want to buy another Naughty Dog game) and Dead Nation (fun).  Still have The Last of Us multiplayer and one stupid Bioshock trophy left before my card is relatively clean, except for the gazillion 0% games on there.  Man, I wish Sony would do what we've been able to do on the 360 since inception and let you delete a game if you have 0%.

Changing up my gaming habits: only playing games I really want to play, not caring about trophies as much, etc. I'll still go for them, but they won't be a necessity. For example, I'm not going to bother with most online trophies, I'd rather just move on to something else if they're going to be extremely time consuming.
 
I got 1 trophy on GTA V.  I've got a feeling my completion % is gonna be really low on that one, since I want to trade it in by the end of the week.

 
Platinumed Saints Row 4 earlier this week. Gold challenges werent as bad as originally thought, but had to spend about 6 hours with the 40 hours trophy and drive an alien vehicle challenge.

Set up some type of RSS feed.  I'll subscribe.

I had a similar issue to yours with Cloudberry Kingdom.  You have to beat the first 40 levels without dying.  I screwed up many many times between levels 32-37 and just got tired of wasting so much time that I just gave up.

I'm mentally preparing myself to try the 10 kill streak trophy in killzone mercenary. I expect many frustrating deaths after 8 or 9 kills (best so far is 5). I doubt I'll get platinum on that game since it's so grindy and I'll sell it to the first person to offer me more than 25 bucks, but something about these dumb online trophies calls to me. At least when I'm done with it I get to start on Rayman Legends. Yum.

It'd probably be best not to try to "go for it" and just try getting it in random play. Don't you need to play like 100-200 matches anyways?

 
You have to play 100 matches and kill 10000 people. Dont know if the kills are cumulative through campaign or strictly online only but regardless Im going for the plat. Its such a fun game just wish all the touch icons in the middle of the screen were on one of the sides instead.

Yeah, but I'm lacking that critical thing called skill. So I need to load up with some specific stuff to make it work and learn some good hiding spots to camp while the mantis does the heavy lifting. I've probably played 50 or so matches out of the 100 and have really enjoyed it, but I expect to ditch it soon so might as well make an effort for the last couple mp trophies. It'd be nice if it ended up in the PS+ IGC core games (since gravity rush was a nice surprise i can dream) so I could come back later.

Really, it's a surprisingly good game. Didn't expect it to demand my attention so much since I've disliked every fps I've ever played.

I had no idea, but I looooved playing Origins so as long as it's more of the same I'm a happy clam. I doubt I'll be willing to ruin my enjoyment of it for grindy plat, but since I'll be playing it on the sofa while watching tv who knows? after that I have p4g on deck for vita and I doubt I'll come even close to the plat on that either.

besides sometimes grinds don't bug me. farming turtles in ff13 was mysteriously enjoyable for me. I might have a screw loose somewhere.

My understanding is all trophies are tied to public matches. It's probably possible to coordinate a secluded area of a map to meet at, but I'd show up on radar every kill so eventually I'll get found. I hit 6 kills today so I'm getting closer, but it's not promising. People are also starting to get better at killing drones. Meh. Still fun to try.
 
Well I was worried about nothing - got a 13 kill streak on accident tonight. Now I have to plat this damn game.
