New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

I think I should have something better to do at 2:00 am than refresh random facebook page for free game.

Added to TweetDeck with audio notification so I can notice when they post 20min warning to twitter and then just f5. Thought I missed it because I was too fast but then after some seconds it displayed form just typed some garbage on name and real email (which wasn't even needed). Plan was to have email at clipboard but I copied something after that (optimization ftw).

I'm not sure if anyone's noticed, but if you bought the 11 bit Studios Humble Weekly, you now have Steam keys for Anomaly Korea and Anomaly Warzone Earth Mobile Campaign.

you should collect stamps

At least video games get patches. When you collect tangible items like stamps you end up with upside-down airplanes and have to drive back to the post office for a proper sheet.

Good point but CLAF3.0 doesn't play games so the patches aren't very useful.

Speaking of which, I had a weird experience today. I decided to play a game. I was a little apprehensive, but gave it a try anyways.

In the game I was an ugly cat and I was running after a little girl. I call the game reverse Limbo, but apparently Steam calls it A Walk In The Dark

Damn, missed it too, but I wasn't around anyway.  That's what I get for working a job like a normal person.  Anyway, MrNinjaSquirrel gave me free Mortal Kombat today, so I'm a happy camper.  :)

Stole this from slickdeals: Bioshock Infinite plus Columbia's Finest DLC for $10.  Go here, enter discount code "9to5Mac".  Provided by Aspyr so it's legit.  And although it says Mac, it is of course Steamworks.

Personally, I'm waiting for GOTY at $7.50.  I don't play shooters and still haven't finished the original.  Nobody spoil anything for me!

Tebow's the songbird

So if it was delivered in the condition described... why...
It wasn't delivered in the condition I paid for...

They still have a number of them left so you can look for yourself: (Link; you might have to go to page three manually)

Anyhow, you see "Used - Like New" with Damage packaging (which I got) and "Used - Like New" with no notes... That's the one I ordered. (it was likely a normal return not one that got its packaging damaged in a warehouse accident.) It might seem minor but if I wanted to sale it having no box would undoubtedly hurt the resale value. (Example: If I wanted to trade it into Amazon (though currently not possible as they don't take PC accessories in trade) I could never get it to qualify as Like New condition without the box... It would always be Acceptable at best.)

So, yes, I very much expected a partial refund... I would have accepted 5 dollars (or whatever the exact amount between the "Like New" to "Good" conditions ones... but if ask how much I wanted back I would have said $7.50 to 10 dollars. (5 dollars for the previous mentioned and the rest for my time.)

They didn't ask, Instead they offered me a partial refund of 26.xx. I took it like any CAG would...

Though to be honest, I likely could have said "No, that's too much... Give me 10 dollars instead" and still walked away with the extra 16 as they seem to use some sort of percentage system which doesn't let them change the numbers... In the past I ordered a TB gaming headset from the warehouse and it came as described(VG or LN I imagine) but it was missing the chat cable for the 360. I looked for a replacement from TB and it was like 11 dollars shipped (It wasn't really that expensive but TB gouges the hell out of you on shipping.) told the Amazon Rep exactly how much it was to cost, to the penny, and ended up walking away with a partial refund big enough to order 4 of the damn things, with separate shipping, because that's what the system told them to do.

I thought you were complaining because they shipped it to you in a bag instead of a box. If it was missing the retail box, then yes, you are correct, they should have actually listed it as Acceptable since technically whenever there is anything missing from an item (including box or even a manual) it can be no better than Acceptable according to their grading system.

Ah, naw, it wasn't that... Though, in all honesty, that would have annoyed me also... Fragile/Expensive items should always be shipped in a box for added protection.

Anyhow; Off to give this thing a try! :D

Let us (me) know what you think of it. I'm still adjusting to my Tartarus's thumbstick. :headache:

I'll have to play with it some more, obviously, but so far... I like the feel of it overall but even with the 8-way D-Pad it feels very sloppy on WASD.

Granted, I've not tried it with the best of games:

Rune Classic; I move forward well enough but when "pulling back" my character has the tendency of going back and to the right (S+D)

Gotham Imposters; D Pad doesn't seem to do a damn thing for movement... (Same profile as above so it seems to be profiled correctly. And inside Synapse 2.0 its set up for 4 way movement by default.)

Anyhow, I have L4D2 installing right now...

MIND BLOWN!

Great plot twist.
It's one of those things you wouldn't initially expect, but the more you think about it, the more it makes sense. Given the convoluted way Tebow types, it only makes sense that his speaking is equally inaudible. Notice how Elizabeth can understand his voice, having spent so much time around him, similar to how we can read his typing.

Even though I can understand Tebonics, I'm NOT Elizabeth!

Would have loved to get The Wolf Among Us. Was stuck at work sadly. I wasn't even supposed to work today but had to cover for a sick co-worker. Woe is me.

The bonuses from Humble Bundle made me smile though. Also managed to grab some extra Guardians of Middle-earth DLC from Raptr.

I don't actually read his typing, though. I skim over it and pick out a few words that may or may not convey a glimpse of him being for or against whatever everyone else was talking about.

It's a lot like Tebow being an analogue of Boomhauer from King of the Hill.

Didn't see it mentioned, but Steam keys for Vox done been made available for buyers of the IR Prairie Dog and Groupees Adventure Role Playing Groupee.

Check it out... AMD is also adding Thief to the Never Settle program starting tomorrow. Unsure if it'll be redeemable for Steam or for Uplay. Kind of bizarre since Thief isn't supposed to be released until February 25th, 2014 though.

Edit: Here's a sneak peak at the page I came across but it's not live yet.

Edit #2: As to why I thought it might be Uplay is beyond me. Thanks for the correction Eldredpe.
Hmmm, wonder if I should wait to activate my silver reward code I won on Raptr. I think I'll get Thief, but of course I have everything else but FarCry Blood Dragon.

Bruce Willis was dead the whole time.

I would fire whoever came up with the name "Orbweaver". Such an awful name.
Do Spoders weave their own webs?

Just saw this and need to quote it. My hair is long enough to permit a ponytail so long as it's not too cold outside. It kinda sucks having such voluptuous and long hair, how do women deal with it 0_0
As someone who used to be in a similar position, I would seriously recommend giving some thought into cutting it shorter. For whatever reason I used to be extremely attached to my hair and had it almost to the middle of my back, but when I finally decided to cut it (and donate it to be made into wigs for kids with cancer) I couldn't believe I waited so long to do it. It's still longer than most guys (a bit bellow my ears/above my shoulders), but the change in weight and required maintenance is more than reason enough for me to never go back (not to mention I no longer look like a homeless person).

I'm all for long hair, but at a point you really have to trim the beast. Just some food for thought.

Not much to "build" on there
What if you used Legos?
