New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

After yesterday, I gave up on the GOG sale. At first I was pleased by the sale and the concept behind it, but the freebies are a joke (they'd probably be better off just randomly gifting free games to registered users) and they ran out of new sale games around the middle of the afternoon Wednesday so now they're just recycling old deals. The recycling would be okay in principle except that the decent stuff disappears in minutes and the filler crap stays for hours (sometimes it feels that way and sometimes [like with Jack Keane 2 last night] it literally does take hours). I think if they had really had over 100 titles that were being discounted (apparently there are over 650 titles in their catalog), this probably would have been a much more interesting sale.

FWIW, I snagged Alpha Centauri, StarTopia, Wing Commander IV, and Nexus: The Jupiter Incident for $8. Man, I didn't even notice until I typed this out that I had a weird space theme going there. Hm.
Yeah, they said they're discounting 101 games. Looks like they're just repeating the same deals until...who knows. I missed out on most of the first round, so I'm just watching it for the rest of the day in case something pops up I want. That Jack Keane 2 thing was horrible last night, lol. Took five hours to sell 100 copies of the game.

Oh my gosh I can't believe I missed the Wolf Among Us giveaway again...

That game is at the top of my wishlist.  Do you know when they will do the giveaway tomorrow or is the timing rather random?

Since you said it's on the top of your wishlist.. my extra key goes to you. Those were the magic words, congrats!

Well, it's not at the top of my list, but if anyone ends up with an extra Wolf key, I'll like two posts of your choice.  :grouphug:

I'd imagine a lot of people have Worms Armageddon now from the recent Humble Weekly, so thought I'd post this from my site:

http://steamfix.blogspot.com/2013/06/worms-armageddon-install-missing.html

This is how to get back all the removed/censored content missing from the Steam version.
What could possibly be censored out of Worms? Worm penises? Worm breasteses?

Seeing free giveaways be abused for profit over the past year has soured me. I'm bitter I guess.
It's sad, but true. I mean people stealing 100s of SRIII DLC codes from Tony was pretty foul. The internet isn't a nice place at all.

If I learned one thing from my 7th-grade life science class (and I may have learned three), it's that worms do not have any of those things.

Got it, thanks! That one stayed up for a while, must be snugglehaters lurking today.

Thanks for Ittle Dew.

Here's a [customspoiler='Jamestown]5KYBJ-VB940-RYGNC[/customspoiler] for anyone who wants it. I imagine there's a few people who don't have it, anyway.

Thanks to the generosity of our infamous Lost Planet reviewer and my current inability to not buy bundles, I have an extra key for Legendary.  Who wants?

I think tomorrow is the last day they'll be giving them away? Their twitter says "through" the 15th.

Now you're just bragging. I was skydiving and still managed to get my key. How bout that?!
I didn't even try to get a key and still managed to get a key. Thereyago.

They did. Well, almost. The Reddit thread lists 123 before repeats started and there were 24 freebies that were all repeated as sales, meaning 99 different titles in the sale. The list easily could have missed a title or two, or a title could have shown up as new during the repeats. The sale is what they said it was. (Though I didn't think they'd keep it going with repeats after getting through all those titles.)

And I'll join the crowd begging for a Wolf Among Us key.

I guess it's a question of perception, then. I'd say less than a third of that list has been "on repeat" for the last 36 hours.

I know you just gave me an extra ship gift, but i have been dying to play legendary. Might i have the key, if it's still available?

Sorry, but I'm not answering this because everyone should be using ES. Hit up isthereanydeal.com for your answer.

Go there if you like to hold hands and cuddle with incorrect information.

It's a miracle. I don't know if it's a driver update or upgrading my video card, but about a year ago I bought Darksiders and it wouldn't run smooth, it was stuttering and jerky at all times. Now it plays smooth. This game was great on PS3, if I can force some good AA I'd play through it again now that I can. :bouncy:

PSA: New types of AA exist and they're easier to run than the old, in-game shit. That's the point.

Rewind this post and just smoke to it.

hate it

Giveaway and sales in this GOG insanity seem to go buy TOO quick or TOO slow.

And I've missed out on some good giveaways when at work (i.e. Two Worlds 2: Epic Ed - even though I own it from GG, would've been nice to have it DRM-FREE.

People bitch about AA but I suspect they haven't even tried the new styles. You.
I don't even know what you're talking about. I didn't say anything about AA other than if I can force some good AA I'll play the game again. Then you started talking about new styles of AA, the point, and bitching.

Anyway, I did try forcing some AA and it worked great.

I didn't understand the word order of your post #453 and still don't but I believe you now.

So what I said is that this game is good, I enjoyed it on PS3. I finally got it running smoothly on PC, so if I can also apply good AA I'd be willing to play through it a second time. I don't know if I can be any more clear than that. Do you even language?

I can't figure out if Solid-Snake-Eyes is the one that's trolling, or if it's MIND LINK. Maybe you're both trolling.
