I suggested the same $40/$20 on GTZ.

A $35/$25 split is preferred over there. I can get a new physical copy on release day at BB for $48.

 
I don't think the 3 person group will end up working in the long run. Not having friends/trophy access will be a big issue for a lot of multiplayer games and the 2 person group $40/20 puts the resell at a very close price to current sale prices on retail copies. The only way I see the 2 person group working is if people start timesharing more often to make up for the $40 slot before the time takes it's toll on the value.

If i understand the way ghost's work, then they can only access the game until they log off. If thats the case the difference between resell and ghost should be 1/2. I would entertain seeing $30.00 - $20.00 - $10.00 or 32 - 20 - 8. We need to make the ghost slot a little more enticing, while doing the same for resell and phantoms.

The 35/25 looks good to from Kero, feels more fair

The reseller could recoup money also from Time sharing it out too, right?

so your going to buy a slot of an account to access the vita games? Since you can only have one account per vita you better get one with a bunch of games. plus whenever you go online you'll be shown as that user just so you know.

 
Assuming this works, would anyone be interested in this. Buying the PS3 version of a game and upgrading to PS4. We could have 2 PS3 phantoms and 1 PS4 phantom. Then 2 PS3 resell and 1 PS4 resell.

PS4 version should probably be more expensive than the ps3 version. Kerouac proposed this pricing idea which I think makes a lot of sense:

$60 Title + $10 Upgrade Fee

PS3 Phantom $5
PS3 Phantom $5
PS3 Resell $15

PS4 Phantom $10
PS4 Resell $20

That could work, but there isn't really a difference between PS4 and PS3 resell. It's only an extra $10 to upgrade to PS4. We're still getting the game, but on different systems. I'm thinking that the PS4 resell wouldn't be interested in a PS3 slot.

Sounds like most of us are leaning towards 35/25 or 40/20 for a 2 person group and 30/20/10 for a 3 person group. I think the 3rd person locking thing will just have to be something we try. If it works at 10, great. If not, we bring the price down to $5 for locked. If it doesn't, we go with 2 person group. The poll is a good indicator but we just don't know for sure until people are actually being offered ps4 games for $10 what they'll say.

Also, an interesting note on locked accounts. As Amir found out and Kerouac posted earlier, it works offline as long as you don't log out of the GS account or turn off the ps4. This is not what we expected and means a few things, it's protection against accidental disconnects obviously but more interesting, it means you could actually have several locked accounts. If they sign on at different times and go offline, that can play all day at the same time as long as they don't turn off the ps4 or switch users. They can still quit the game. If they turn off ps4 or logout, they just need to sign online briefly again and can go right back offline and play more.

This can be very useful but before we start thinking about groups with 4,5, whatever people, there's still a few problems. First, there's not that many people interested in locked accounts to begin with so let's focus on getting 1 per group. Second, it's a little complicated, people could forget to sign offline, too many ways to accidently lock the other guy or yourself out temporarily. I would suggest this MIGHT be okay down the line for trusted veterans who get used to doing this but not right now. In the meantime, I'd say just do this with friends you can trust and easily get in touch with if there's a problem. Still, that's very cool and good to know.

$25 is too much, and I say this as someone who has never purchased a phantom for personal use. It makes physical the better choice. $15 for the lesser slots is nice, but there will be a lack of interest in the locked slot, so either groups won't form since there will be a lacking of a third member or the $15 will have to be fronted indefinitely.

I believe this means a PS4 resell obtained through the upgrade can only be played on the gs account and not the main.

I think you missed out on those deals

Gamestop was doing double TIV towards the purchase of a next gen console, but this is a few months back if I remember correctly

I think the older systems will lose a lot of value now that new gen systems are out

According to this, there is three way to activate game on your system.

primary PS4™ system - primary PS4, current resell

other PS4™ system signed in - current locked resell

purchasing account’s designated PS4™- I hope this means if we login with an account on other PS4 (other then primary), and we purchase content, that content will be activate on whole PS4 system. Even when we log out from account.

The purchasing designated account = Primary or Other, not Primary, Other, and Designated

Ok, that's in one way right. Purchasing designated account can be Primary PS4 or Other PS4. But if we choose to purchase game on Other, that action would add license to that other PS4.

According to that, license would be activated both on Other PS4 and Primary PS4.

I thought the way that we were going to operate PS4 gamesharing was this.

Resells pay $40 but get access to both the primary and secondary slots.

Phantoms pay $20 and get a primary slot where they can play on their main but can't download again.

i think everyone is gonna have their own pricing plan. Im doing two resells for 30 each for now. Gamesharing on ps4 is gonna be very crazy for a while since its very limited and very new.

I thought I read at one point that you can have two accounts signed in at once on the PS4.  Couldn't a locked account sign in on it, and then on their main also?  Ofcourse I could be remembering wrong as well.  The lack of a 2nd controller makes it hard to test for me.

Yes, this is correct. However, trophies earned are contributed to the GS account. Amir tested this last night.

At the moment I don't see a reason that a separate thread is necessary. I will create a 2nd post just for PS4 groups once I get a chance. Also I will keep the completed groups separate from the PS3 groups.

If at a time PS4 sharing becomes the norm I will probably rename the thread to PS4 Gamesharing but I don't think it will happen for 2-3 years though.

Later today hopefully this will be renamed to PSn Gamesharing though.

Can someone just confirm a few things for me with PS4 game sharing? (if possible)

My friend and I (both from UK) plan on just going 50/50 on PS4 games from PSN , His main account is a US accaount and we plan on using that for all all the games.
I will be doing all the account funding as he doesn't have any idea how to do it.
so will I make his US main account a primary on my ps4 and download the games, then I can use my own UK main account to play the games?
He then signs in on his PS4 and downloads the games and plays on the same account?
do we both get trophies or only him?

also could anyone on here get me US PS+ 1 year code on black friday? I'll give you an extra $5 if needed?
