(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

PSA if you want Shufflepuck Cantina extremely cheap without waiting for a bundle:

If you can manage to get a 75% off coupon you can get Shufflepuck Cantina for almost free after selling cards. I paid 12 cents after selling off the cards.

People don't usually ask much in trade for the coupons (I traded one guy a 3 cent emote and profile background for it), you can find them on the trade section of the Steam discussion board:

Yeah, ya'll should do it, it's pretty fun. And multiplayer may even happen one day.

 
Are the SE deals good till the end of the month? (I'm down to two coupons but I'm not sure if I want to pull the trigger or wait to see if we get a recap day (or two) at the end of the sale.)

 
Retro City Rampage $2.99 for the Daily Deal. 

ESteam says it matches the game's "Best Deal Eva"

I can never seem to find enough reasons to pull the trigger on this one.

The developer's website has it for the same price (through a Humble Widget). Includes your choice of a Steam or GOG key, a DRM-free copy, printable manual and box, and OST.

The game just got a patch yesterday:

#### v1.16 CHANGES | 2014/01/23 ####

• EFFECTS
- Added more Retro+ visual enhancements. Weapon/attack/vehicle/character effects added, including rocket smoke trails and more. Certain weapons and vehicles now have more "oomph!".

• JUMPING
- You can now jump while in the middle of shooting or attacking and no longer need to wait until the attack has completed.

• TV COLOR MODES
- 7 new TV color modes added! Check them out!

• KEYS
- For WASD players, E can now be pressed to enter vehicles, V can be pressed to pick up objects.

• SHADOWS
- Sprite shadows now appear over background shadows for more contrast.

• SWEAT TIME
- Checkpoints added.

• RETICLE
- New reticle on targeted characters/objects.

• FRAME LIMITER
- Game now runs at the correct speed on all machines when using vsync.

• RENDERER
- DirectX swapchain updated for smoother graphics.

• MISC TWEAKS
- Too many to list!

Same... I haven't been sufficiently tempted by RCR... and although I deride a lot of it'll be bundled comments... this one has HIB written all over it, imo.

^_^ I'd want a copy from humble... just for dat drm-free (even though I'll probably only play the steam version....)

That's my MO as well. If I own something and it's on Steam, I want it in my Steam library, but I like to have the option to play it independently, whether or not I ever exercise that option. I don't like the feeling that I have all my virtual eggs in one basket.

 
I read a post by Mooby saying he was going to pre-order something and I fell over in my chair and passed out.  I have come to now and I'm pretty sure it was a dream.
