New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

made your post more legible, you're welcome. :D
damn really wish Steam would have a sale, I'm getting bored.

Well I wasn't quite satisfied with having a DLC as my final 4th game in Feb so I went ahead and beat Spec Ops The Line tonight. Take that, February!

I'm a bad group administrator for not mentioning it when it was it was 75% off but anyone whose picked up Trials Gold and isn't a member of the CAG group might want to go here...

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/CAGTR

The Master List is full of Uplay usernames for those who play it.

Also, I recently, as in yesterday made a new CAG Steam Group for Loadout...  It again has a master list thread for people's in game Loadout name.

Stylistically, I think NOLF is a MUCH different type of game series than say Blood series; FEAR 1 + 2; and Condemned.
BTW - I highly recommend NOLF series.
Now, for those who missed out on NOLF - if only someone would figure out who the hell has the rights to that series....
I still need to play NOLF 2. I loved the first one. I grabbed and played that way back when I thought $20 for a PC game in a sealed box was an awesome deal.

The reason this thread is so OT is probably because this is a console site and so us PC gamers are ghettoized to only a couple of threads.

There is a Steam thread in general but no one really uses it.

Anyway I don't see the problem. If you want an at a glance list of (mostly) PC digital game deals there's Reddit for that.

This place is more:

IMHO, there really ain't any hot-deals currently happening on Steam or at other places (Amazon DVG, GG, GMG, etc) with Steam-required games or Steam-versions of games.

{shoulder shrug}

We'll have to wait and see at 1PM EST, what Steam wants to drop today for Ubi's Steam Deal today,

Come on Call of Juarez games! I actually do want to pick up the remainder of the series. Assassin's Creed is more than likely going to happen though.

I skipped CoJ: The Cartel.

Would like to eventually get CoJ: Gunslinger, though.

About AC series - would be nice to see AC4 (base game) hit $10 or less. Of course, that probably won't happen for quite a while, I'd presume...

Plus, I still need to actually begin AC3...

u might as well wait for gmg sale with using their coupon off instead
I'm certainly gonna wait for better Injustice deal.

I don't see myself touching it anytime soon.

And like I said - I still need to play MK9: Komplete more.

I ain't even touched Story Mode.

Here and there, I mostly been going through the ladder solo style - i.e. like the old MK's.

I wouldn't trust it since the Gamefly page does not state Steam and they will do that when a game requires Steam.

Also Gamefly has been known to sell oddball non Steam versions of games that are Steam everywhere else like Morrowind and Oblivion.

It should be Steamworks I agree but unless you can get someone at Gamefly to confirm it I wouldn't buy it.

*Edited to add: The Gamefly rep on Reddit listed it as being non-Steam. Possibly he and they are misinformed but I would not chance it personally.

Yeah Gamefly sells A LOT of non steam games. There's been a few times where they occasionally have a really good deal, and I get excited and buy it...just to find out it's non steam.

FWIW they are pretty good about listing on a game's page when it requires Steam so if you control F and type in Steam and no hits come up you can assume not Steam.

Also their version of Tony regularly posts on Reddit and he does clarify which games on sale are and aren't Steam.

Cool, I kind of thought it was... but even Aspyer's website didn't make any mention of needing a steam account.

Guessing CoD2 isn't... Right?
CoD2 is a SteamPlay title, but...

Ok, I didn't mean to say it wasn't. I meant to say, I'm not sure if Gamefly has a steam code for that particular game. Sorry for the confusion.
Oh, my bad. I thought you were meaning just the title itself, I didn't actually look at the promo. You're correct though, I'm not sure if GF is selling these CoD games as Steam games. Motoki is right, they'll usually list it on the page.

Yeah, I just don't buy from them all that frequently, so the times I have I just forgot to check a few times.

Anyone want to adopt a 99% black 1 1/2 year old female cat named Mayhem..?  (Not her original name, nor the name we first thought about giving her when he first adopted her, but the most fitting because it was...  Well, very apt because wherever she went mayhem ensued.)

I ask because I just disassemble my PC trying to diagnose an issue (thought my old Radeon 5850 video card had finally given up the ghost) when it looked like the cat only halfheartedly pulled the HDMI cable from the back of the monitor.  aka it was still mostly plugged in.  (It was some pretty awesome red tinted graphics, and even better looking grain, in BIOS and while windows was booting up.  Once Windows was booted up there was no HDMI signal. period.)

I feel sort of like an idiot right now... but I found the story humor enough to share....  Also it helps that I don't have to go against plans right now to hold off on a new video card.  (Waiting for more news/prices on the NVIDIA tech that refreshed your monitor in sync with your video card.)

Cat problem, huh? Nothing a few USB computer defense upgrades can't take care of. :twoguns:

If February has taught me anything it's that when I force myself to stop playing Pinball and Rogue likes I can finish games at a quick clip.

Doesn't seem to be... though I sort of thought all copies of CoD4 were stream. I got my copy from a mac site afterall.
CoD4:MW PC does NOT require Steam (DRM) everywhere.

My retail copy from ages ago DOES NOT use Steam at all.

Steam-versions of CoD4: MW PC are Steamplay-supported, though.

Get Steam-versions of CoD4: MW PC, you get both Mac + Windows versions.

CoD: Modern Warfare 2 was the first PC version of a COD-game to require Steam (DRM) everywhere.
