Not to interrupt the giveaway, but the GamesRage Topware bundle just unlocked both Two Worlds games' soundtracks.

The interesting thing is that the description for the Two Worlds 2 soundtrack gives away one of the mystery games.

It's 3SwitcheD (also in Flying Bundle 8).

There's 4 games left to unlock and one soundtrack to unlock. First game is pretty much confirmed as Jack Orlando (also in Flying Bundle 8) from the teaser image they provided, and the last soundtrack and one of the mystery games will be 3SwitcheD based on the mistake I caught.

Not too bad for the $6 Tier since the Age of Wonders Trilogy Pack has never been lesser than 50% off on Steam. I recommend anyone who is into turn-based strategy games should pick this up.

There is an unofficial patch v1.4 for Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic. MP Evolution and Dwiggs 5.0 are two of the best mods, they fixed a lot of bugs and balance improvements for the game so check those out as well.

  • Install the unofficial patch v1.4 first, followed by MP Evolution and lastly Dwiggs 5.0.
  • Go to the MP Evolution settings and select Dwiggs 5.0 under resources in the bottom right.
  • Select the MP Evolution shortcut on your desktop and play.

Thanks for 99 spritis showed names after entering email.

Was also able to solve Windows 8.1 install problem after 8 months (makes sense right?)

Dark magick was involved such as firmware upgrades on SSD & MB.

MB firmware fixed this. You would think they'd mention this in changes but nope.

Guess which of these fixed Windows 8.1 copmatility.

- Updated Microcode.
- Improved VGA compatibility.
- Improved memory compatibility.

- Add more DMI information.
- Improved audio problem when using IVY-Bridge CPU. (Not this I have Sandy Bridge-E processor I belive)

- Update SATA Legacy ROM & UEFI Driver version to v.12.8.0.1016.
- Update audio table.
- Improved memory compatibility.

I have to say this gif loses a lot of its hilarity out-of-context like this. In the episode of the BBC nature series Africa this is taken from, a cheetah is stalking a boar, and then a deer, and both end unsuccessfully. The narrator says (a bit snarkily), "He's blown it. He'll have to find a meal elsewhere." The camera then cuts to this squirrel who's chewing on this nut, who as you see, suddenly drops it and scampers off.

In my mind, he hears the narrator, sees the cat, says, "Oh, sh*t!" and runs off.

I don't think I redeemed these by checking because the pages ask me to link to my Steam account: it's 99 Spirits, Vanguard Princess, and Ether Vapor Remaster.

For what it's worth I can confirm the PS4 version is 16GBs. So, the size disparity between the two isn't as bad as Titanfall (Xbox one vs PC).

Hey, could one of the hardware gurus on here answer a question for me? I want to know whether my computer will be able to run Shadow of Mordor. The requirements listed are here.

I'm sure this is a lot better than my system but I don't know how to compare these things, except for the obvious stuff like OS and DirectX versions. Here's my rig:

6 GB RAM

AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor  2500 MHz

Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit

NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 512 Mb

You're screwed.

You don't meet the stiff minimum video-card requirement.

Your Nvidia card's 3 generations under the requirement (200 series, 300 series, 400 series, 500 series).

Hell, I have 1 GB of GTX 560 Ti - and being the actual minimum on a game...

...makes me wonder when I might have to do the video-card upgrade.

EDIT:

When you buy video cards on the NVidia end, you want to aim normally where the two back-end numbers over 60 (mid-range model within a card's actual series).

I.e. Buy a 400 series card, get a 460 or better;

want a 500 series card, go for a 560 or better;

want a 600 series, 660 or better;

want a 700 series, 760 or better;

etc etc.

Not bad, but all repeats for me. If you don't have The Path, it's really quite a unique, interesting experience (not a game by any means). It's definitely one of those 2deep4u games, but it's interesting and really thought-provoking in my opinion. You play as different incarnations of Red Riding Hood taking the path to grandma's house. You can follow the path like a good little girl and nothing out of the ordinary will happen... or you can travel into the woods, coming across little things that provide some narrative that applies/comes from the girl you've chosen to play as, and ultimately your goal is to find the "wolf". The wolf is different for each girl... and each wolf is symbolically linked to deeper themes all revolving around issues having to do with a young person or young woman coming of age. You'll find the wolf, some things will happen, and then you're wake up "broken" at the doorsteps to grandma's house in the rain. Upon entering grandma's house, it will be something of a total acid trip, with a lot of fucked up, artful graphics relating to that character's theme and issues.

It's a really odd, dark experience, but it really makes you think. I usually hate 2deep4u games (I mean c'mon, this is the same developer of Old Lady Death Simulator 2010), but this one really did capture my attention, mostly due to it's unapologetic take on some really serious, controversial themes. They did a good job on this.

And on the plus side, the cards are still worth a fair bit (one is still over 40 cents), so you'll make some money back.

Yeah, I think all of us "kids" in our 20s grew up on old cartoons. Just because they weren't new when we were kids doesn't mean the cartoon networks didn't play the old stuff all day everyday. Scooby Doo was a favorite of mine, Looney Toons, Tom and Jerry, all of the above. Tex Avery ones were some of my favorite too.

It's funny that the older folks think we didn't grow up on the same stuff. Hell, they're probably STILL playing the old stuff all the time.

Hardware talk, finally some incline in the Steam thread. Waiting for Devils Canyon before I do my yearly upgrade. It's probably best to wait until the Haswell refresh is out (hoping mid June) as that will likely trigger a price drop on the other Intel CPUs.
