One of these days, I've actually gotta play these games.

Okay, so, since this thread is run by our resident ME expert, I had some questions regarding ME keys and what they do.

You can only get Pinnacle Station by redeeming a code for the ME Trilogy at this point in time, right?

In addition, the CD keys provided by Steam will provide you copies of ME1 and ME2 on Origin?

I got the Digital Deluxe edition of ME2 on Steam, how do I give all the Digital Deluxe benefits to my Origin version? Do I have to specifically redeem a ME2: Digital Deluxe Origin key? Is there any way to upgrade a copy of ME2 given by the ME Trilogy to the Digital Deluxe Edition?

Thanks. I know I'm asking a million questions. :wall:

Yes.

Yes.

All DLC is tied to your Origin account, so you can use it with either the Steam or Origin version just by logging in (I'm assuming all the deluxe content is DLC).

You and me both.

It's DLC, but it's not. I had ME2 base on Origin first, got the Digital Deluxe version on Steam and once I logged in to EA in game in the Steam DD version, my Origin version then got upgraded. It all ties back to your EA/Origin/Bioware account.

Many thanks Neuro. Knew you had it covered. :)

FWIW since I know you are still a recovering peasant the PS3 version of the ME trilogy gets more DLC than the others.

Also, IIRC Bioware DLC is cross platform so if you own any of the DLC from peasantland don't rebuy it on PC until you check first.

Oh and in case it wasn't clear no version of the trilogy has all the DLC and the rest you'll need to get with bioware points still I think. Neuro probably knows. I haven't messed with Bioware stuff in a while but I still see MysterD lamenting the lack of Bioware points sales so I assume that's still a thing.

Bioware DLC is not cross platform, at least not Mass Effect. There was some talk about 360 users convincing support to transfer thier DLC to PC, but I think that was dealing with a specific scenario.

And, yeah, BW points are still a thing.

Okay maybe it's just some of the promotional DLC that's cross platform then. I checked my Bioware social account and I do own some 360 and PS3 versions of some DLC but it doesn't seem like any of the paid DLC.

Yes, they gave all promo stuff to anyone with a Bioware account, even if they didn't own that specific platform version.

I still have those 500 (?) Bioware points from the Amazon give-way (Ah, the old days...)

I guess I'll wait until Dragon Age: Inquisition is $5 then buy myself some horse armor.

Now all they need is another game with a cheap Russian price on sale that it's actually worth using it on.

*Edit: Saints Row Franchise pack is $9 in Russia. I would have been tempted at $7.20 with the discount if it was the one on Steam which came with all DLC, but it's not. bleh.

But it's Deep Silver, it should be region lock, or am I wrong

Edit. Do you mean this sub in particullar? http://steamdb.info/sub/46504/

Lost Planet should have been too but the one on GG wasn't so who knows?

Also Russians were selling the Steam SR Franchise pack over the sale so I assume that wasn't.

Anyway it's a moot point. Not worth it without dlc.

Mm I can only see the Ultimate Franchise Pack, which has a ROW version, in a sub, that is the one I pointed before. But the Franchise Pack (without DLCs of IV) is locked or I can't see a ROW version. Will need to investigate further.

It's really not worth going down some huge rabbit hole over considering 4 w dlc is supposed to be coming out soon for $20 regular price. It was just something I said in passing thinking out loud. Please don't go all MysterD Rainman over it. Thanks.

Thanks to Squirrel for helping me. I did not understand the last sentence about MysterD xD, but now I know Motoki was right.

It's not a terrible question. Back in the day, stacking discounts was what made GamersGate worth buying from (IGN 15% + 5% codes). Granted they weren't both coupon codes you had to enter but you could at least stack discounts.

The Russian franchise pack isn't locked, at least the ones being sold around here. I grabbed one from a Russian during the sale to complete my sr3 dlc and get all of 4+dlc
