Damn, not sure why I was under the impression NBA Jam had been taken offline and gave up on getting the arena medals. Anyone have/still play this? May be hard to match up with each other to boost though, but worth a shot.
I know I had it and can re download it. Are the medals easy to boost though? IE not going to take 100 hours to finish? I remember playing it online one time against a random who used some special characters that could hit every shot from across the court. What a waste of time. The epitome of why I dont play online often.

Ok so it took me until 2:18 EST to get caught up from where I left off yesterday in the thread and I still have no idea what's going on. Good job all.

My friend is trying to convince me that just because I can get a used copy of MGS: Ground Zeroes for $4 used doesn't mean I should. Not because the quality of the game but because I'd just be adding another game to the pile. I'm almost starting to think he might be right. Especially since I'm just playing MGS4 now.
I thought you were going all digital from now on?

The disc game servers were taken offline, but they weren't for the newer PSN one.

Looks like the hardest part may be getting matched up with each other, as it's random and we'd have to choose certain settings and try until we got it. It would require 2 sessions since sessions are timed overall. 25 wins for each of us in each session (whole game doesn't need to be played). So I would guess about 1 hour-1h30m per session, 2 sessions.

Alright, we can try it one night. And you would have to learn how to work your headphones.

The disc version servers were taken down. The PSN Jam Edition version has stayed up from what I understand.

Quick check says each person would need 50 wins. Two groups of 25 that looks like it would have to come in a set amount of time for them to count. I knew there was a reason I never started that game.

Only have 1100 points at Gamestop.

Maybe I should start shopping there more often. Might still pick it up for $10 just to mess around in and decide if I actually would play Phantom Pain.

Though that strikes to the heart of fate vs. freewill argument that is often found in time travel stories. As when he first meets her he isn't interested in her it is only when [customspoiler="spoiler for S4 episode"] he is told that she is his wife in the past future[/customspoiler] that the idea is planted in his mind.
I like Doctor Who a lot, generally like Moffet more than Davies (some Davies stuff always struck me as a little too silly/cartoony), and like River as a character for the most part. But nothing about River and the Doctor's interactions ever seemed romantic to me. Even taking into account that they had off screen adventures like they mention in the first episode of s6, he just doesn't ever seem treat her any differently from anyone else on the show. It always bugged me.

It isn't as bad as it seems Gator. The wins count and add up either way. It's just to maximize the session, you can get up to 25 wins per player (after that it wont count until you start a new session) At least I think that's what it's saying.

Boy, I'm not a big fan of your friend right now--I kind of want to pick up a copy, as well, but I'm still working on MGS2's dogtags and I've never played MGS3, MGS4, or Peace Walker. Now I'm not sure what to do... :joystick:

I ended buying $20 PSN money from amazon as I guess I at least get 3% back via my amazon card. Better than 0% back. And I bought Pinball Arcade Season 1 Pro Pack PS4. It's interesting to me that when I look in my download list I can't seem to choose to download any of the table packs or anything (at least from a browser). But each table pack is listed separately and the ball packs. But only Pinball Arcade itself has a download option. Does this mean that if you choose to download Pinball Arcade it will actually download everything I own for it? Or does it mean that download them in-game? Either approach is probably better than how the funky season pass worked on the Vita/PS3. That was a total mess.

Let me get this straight. PS4 is going to get the new Pinball Arcade tables next week, but it doesn't have season 2 tables at all yet? WTF? I feel a bit duped, but I'll trust that they get these out sometime soon. Or soonish. Or eventually. Next year?

I'm sort of in the same boat but finished 2 and 3 recently (Vita) and currently playing 4. Peace Walker is the one to play before 5 but 5 pre-dates 1...I think, so you might be good either way. As much as I love Metal Gear the story is all kind of convoluted anyway.

I find it funny someone who goes the length of trouble to create an alternate account based in the image of another dares critic other people's uses of their time.

So fucking dumb.

Hey Breakfuss, ever hear of a game called Dig Dug? Some people were talking about it the other day and I had never heard of it before. Thought maybe you would have since your dad was always in the arcades as a kid.
Man I never said that about my dad since I doubt the country he grew up in had any of that stuff. I'll have to ask. He did play a lot games after getting here. I swear he hasn't once mentioned Dig Dug. Not once. But I believe you that it's considered a classic.

Yesterday I also discovered a game called Othello in the PSN thread. So it's been quite the period of awakening. Reminds of me when I told people I had never had a Dr. Pepper (while ago, I've had some now).

For $4? I'd grab the game, since you still plan to play them, I guess. Also, Trophies.

EU getting to pre-load Destiny Beta before NA is not cool, Sony.

For those investing time on the Beta, Deej, the Bungie community manager said that depending on how the Beta goes, it will affect the decision to let things carry from it to the "gold" release. I'd rather nothing carries over, though.

fuck you assholes and your 90 and 100 degree temperatures & your fancy 72 degree air conditioning.

You know what the high temperature was for me yesterday, in the place where the muthafuckin All-Star game is taking place today?

Sixty-goddamn-five.

Broke a 130-year-old record.

fuckin' midwest.
You're bitching about 65 degree weather in the middle of July? That sounds glorious. Get the fuck out of here.

Yeah, I made up the part about your dad as I remember you mentioning him but not what it entailed. But that second paragraph makes it sound like you were sheltered as a child.

I know you as wrencrest, your PSN ID is wrencrest, so I dont see the need to change it. Plus I think the pill poppin' shtick will suffer if you try and change your name to be part of it.

It would be cool if you could change it as often as you want, but it is a once a year thing.
Ding Ding Ding! Mailed it.

The pill poppin' shtick is already kinda old. Pharmacrest is OK but "poppinpills" is terrible, and whatever you choose you're stuck with it for a year. Plus people aligning their PSN IDs and CAG usernames is usually really useful to other members.

well if pharmacrest wins it will still be easy because crest sticks out still. and yes the pills comments are getting old. but people keep mentioning them.

I've gone away from quoting in one big mega-post as well.  Therm is definitely right, those posts don't get a whole lot of attention and are rarely replied to.
