I'm sure you mean well, but I disagree. If this forum and other internet dwellings can bring me a little laughter and joy I don't see why they can't be equally capable of bothering me sometimes. Nobody's playing "victim".
I made an innocuous post concerning cross-gen ports. Basically repeating what @Tyler@ said a few weeks ago about LBP3. Naturally, @captain@ replies. That's cool - I'm game for a debate. But then the curmudgeons creep out and ruin it with that tired mercenary shit. People who I'm completely unacquainted with but feel it's their chance to show they belong? Breakfuss arguments a rite of passage now? Idk but this thread has actually been really cool lately (despite my initial reservations) so it's like why are you dredging up old negativity. I know I've personally tried not to offend anyone's sensibilities. No mention of Polygon from me. No trophies. And barely any Nintendo talk (had to sneak in a little). Doesn't matter, though.
Wish people would consider the merit of someone's post before writing it off as shit-stirring. Stop trying to gain favor with your beloved Prophet and his disciples. Think for yourself. But, we pile on here because... internet? That's basically what you've told me to accept. Even when I don't personally engage in it. I'm here to meet other cheap asses, not cheap asses.
I throw my darts at people, but again, it's not personal. Saying you're drunk on kool-aid is hardly the same as calling me an idiot. It's also lame to think home-schooled people (I wasn't) are shut-ins. But wait I'm now a mercenary for defending home-schoolers? Sigh. So when someone is a merc and hipster it means they're disingenuous? Poser? Most of the time I take it in stride but if I'm having a discussion why inject that? Seriously,

off (not you). It's like me saying someone only likes those terrible LEGO games because of the trophies. And, hell, we all know that shit is true, but you didn't see me using it to make cheap points.
