Yeah, it makes sense to give smaller games less overall points or trophies, but why do they still allow some games like Trine to have a plat and not only that but Trine 2's plat (as everyone here knows) is attainable before you even beat the game. And yet somehow I dont have the plat for it yet.I get why all games don't have the same trophy values. I mean, it's not a perfect system, but it makes sense for the most part. Smaller games probably shouldn't have a full trophy set and a Platinum.
Giving more value to harder-to-get trophies is the whole reason TrueAchievements/TrueTrophies exist.
Xbox just started giving 1000 Gamerscore to all their games and I think it's actually pretty stupid. No way games like Nutjitsu and Another World should give the same amount of Gamerscore as Titanfall and Dead Rising 3.
Jkam got one from me and I think he posted he doesn't need any more.Who needs Destiny Beta codes? I have 2. I know JKam told me he wanted one, but I think he got one from Stoch?
Yeah, I run errands on my lunches a lot, sometimes the Liquor store falls in there. But it's never empty, usually a couple really trashed guys are in there scraping in their pockets to buy one of those small bottles.I went to the liqour store to get more rum today. It felt weird and I was the only one in their besides the employees and Bud delivery guy.. Anyone else ever go to the liqour store in the middle of the week on your lunch hour? No? Oh...

I wonder if it is even up for download yet? Doesn't it take Sony till like 5pm Eastern to update their store normally. I redeemed one of my codes through my Vita but haven't been able to get the store to load on my PC. I remoted to my PS4 and it wouldn't let me open the store saying it was down for maintenance. I wanted to kick off the download before I left for home. Figured it would take hours. So I got a little situation going on here. I finally got my code entered in after the store finished crashing on me over and over again, but just as my code was accepted and I got to the confirmation screen the store thought it would get one last "you" in there and booted me before I could confirm and begin downloading. Went back in, entered code. Says code has already been redeemed. I go to my download list and sure enough, there it is. Only I've got a problem now.... it won't allow me to download it. What other paths are there to restart a download?
Supposedly downloading for me now too. I did it the same way you did.If anyone else is having trouble getting PSN to load, you may want to try redeeming your code through the Vita PSN store. I was able to get the store to load several times without issue and the code went through no problem. You can't get your PS3/PS4 to download it from there, but it cuts down on the time you'll have to wait for the web or PS4/PS3 stores to load.
Was able to start my dl for the beta by through remote play (I'm at work). Took a couple trys but it was much faster than trying to wait on the webstore to load.
It would make more sense to me to have the games be weighted rather than to make the trophies themselves the gateway. Getting 100% of all trophies in a game should always give you a plat, it just may not be worth the same amount as a plat from another game. Similar to, say, grading; if you have five things you're getting scored on, and three are exam-level worth 25% of your total, the remaining 2 would be 12.5%.I get why all games don't have the same trophy values. I mean, it's not a perfect system, but it makes sense for the most part. Smaller games probably shouldn't have a full trophy set and a Platinum.
Ok thanks for letting me know.Jkam got one from me and I think he posted he doesn't need any more.
I'll take one.Ok thanks for letting me know.
If anyone needs a PS3 destiny beta code then I have 2.
Also, it says its 62 minutes download time…I wonder if my internet is that slow or it's just a HUGE file.
I don't watch baseball (on television) so I don't know who Anthony Rendon is, but I'm sure he's important. He's clearly smart as a whip!"I don't watch baseball (on television) -- it's too long and boring," [Anthony] Rendon said in a recent interview with the Washington Post.
I used my US account from my ps4 to do it. Took me a few tries but finally went through.Looks like the smart guys here were the ones who made UK accounts to pre-load the beta. Vita is the only system I can get the store to come up on right now. By sometime tomorrow though, I hope to be enjoying the Destiny beta![]()
K I'll pm you right nowI'll take one.![]()
Yeah I'll just have to keep trying. No luck so far after two 10 minute sessions of trying to load the store on PS4. Got SEN to load up once, but couldn't get to the page before it quit on me. I imagine it will calm down sooner or later.I used my US account from my ps4 to do it. Took me a few tries but finally went through.
Typical dumb comment from a Gnat's player.I don't watch baseball (on television) so I don't know who Anthony Rendon is, but I'm sure he's important. He's clearly smart as a whip!
it does get more hectic later -- base attacks, etc. 9 days is... well, not really even scratching the surface. that's like, maybe time to set up base camp. i'm not even sure the first major event happens in under 9 days (it's been awhile since i played). anyway, it goes a lot, lot deeper than that...9 days is my longest, but I just let myself die because I'm bored. I could definitely survive longer if I knew what to do.
No, I need to read about what's useful to craft. I made a science machine a few times.
No, haven't made it to winter. Like I said, I get bored long before that and just let myself die.
Zimm is all taken care of, I gave him one of minelooks like zimm needed a ps3 one, which i don't have.
in terms of real time, how many hours does a 'great run' take? it feels like initial setup takes an hour or so which is part of what's so grating.looks like zimm needed a ps3 one, which i don't have.
so still have 2 ps4 destiny codes. i have a little kid, so it can take awhile before i get you the code. it'll be this afternoon, certainly, just maybe not instant.

but if you're getting bored, you're getting bored. letting yourself die and then having to redo the beginning setup is a surefire way to get bored though... tension amps up once you're set up, armed, and want a great run.
I went ahead and bought them but havent played them yet. I was finishing up RC3 last night. And apparently you didnt bother to read my post about it this morning. Sad face.Wren, any confirmation on how good/bad narco terror and sacred citadel were. I thought you were buying them. any co op play yet?
all I heard was I think from laundrymatt saying citadel was double disappointing. if that's all the reviews im gonna skip them both...
I was either having a wren moment or you're thinking of someone else Velo. I've never played either of those.Wren, any confirmation on how good/bad narco terror and sacred citadel were. I thought you were buying them. any co op play yet?

yeah i know it was someone else, but cant remember who.I was either having a wren moment or you're thinking of someone else Velo. I've never played either of those.
I am going to be buying them and most likely finishing both of them today. So if you can hold out for tonight / tomorrow you will have a full report. Also I believe it was Vigilante that mentioned Sacred Citadel when I/ we originally asked. He mentioned that he was a fan of the Sacred series and it was disappointing. I am buying it because couch coop. My girlfriends little sister is coming over today and we will probably power through both games. Sacred Citadel is supposed to be about 5 hours and Narco Terror is about 3.Wren, any confirmation on how good/bad narco terror and sacred citadel were. Got one from Tyler. I'm good thanks.Who needs Destiny Beta codes? I have 2. I know JKam told me he wanted one, but I think he got one from Stoch?
I can't control the formatting for the guide outside of the post I make on the forums. I make the post in the forum, format how I want. The mods do the main page formatting. And the guides are the same. Dick.Yet that doesn't have a single mention of the plat time. Also the formatting makes a big difference IMO.
I only have 38 games in the backlog and I doubt I will ever play half of them if that, but to 100% or plat all of them based on pst.org it would take about 828 hours or 34.5 days. Now I might add the howlongtobeat hours for just SP on each game.just some food for thought - I took my complete download list spreadsheet and starting filling in howlongtobeat.com times. I got through the D ps3 games and the completion time (not 100%) was already up to 493 hours. interestingly, 6 of the 49 games comprise about 38% of those hours (Borderlands 1/2, Demons Souls, Deus Ex HR, Disgaea 3, Dragons Dogma).
the 100% time on those same games is a hilarious 1,641.5 hours. disgaea 3 is listed as 400 hours which can't possibly be right, can it?
when I'm done with this thing I'll publish it so you can guys can draw your own conclusions about how ridiculous this is.
I have one more if you want it, just a single PS4 code. Open to anyone else as well if not taken by NotEric Edit: takenMe.
Edit: Please.
Yeah, that would work just as well.I have one more if you want it, just a single PS4 code. Open to anyone else as well if not taken by NotEric
Oh, was it yours? I didn't even look at that. Also they're not the same. All the road map and introduction stuff got stripped out, and that stuff is really helpful. It would have been nice if you expanded the intro section to include the Item World, Gameplay Trophies, Additional Content, and Randoms sections, though, like you had for Your First Trophies and Completing the Main Story. It's useful to have a short organized set of lists for the achievements to supplement the longer descriptions that say how to actually get them. That's a personal preference, though.I can't control the formatting for the guide outside of the post I make on the forums. I make the post in the forum, format how I want. Same here. And yeah mine took no time, it's already done. I spent more time trying to get on to enter the code than it took to download.I did still have the alpha file on my PS4 which looks like it converted to the beta and is just downloading the rest as I'm only downloading like 10ish gigs instead of the 13 the download originally claimed.
I didn't even know you could set up a base camp. Like with walls and stuff? I definitely need to do some research before I turn it on again. I'm not ready to give up yet.looks like zimm needed a ps3 one, which i don't have.

I put a bit more reading time into it as well...if you're just going to try and get through it enough to unlock the better characters that you will actually want to play with to get the most out of the game...you can customize the world to include no threats, constant day-time, etc. etc. until you unlock those guys to try the harder stuff.I didn't even know you could set up a base camp. I haven't played it myself, but I was told Narco Terror is absolutely dreadful and should be avoided at all costs.Wren, any confirmation on how good/bad narco terror and sacred citadel were. I thought you were buying them. any co op play yet?
