  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Bought Guacamelee!, not disappointed at all! Very Metroidvania-like in structure, but completely different gameplay style.

Walking Dead PinballFX2 is the best PFX2 table I've played in years (highly disappointed in the new Star Wars pack demo and the full version of Deadpool)

 
Damn I wish the Xbox games were available during the whole month like the One games. want Halo Reach since I sold my copy, but my good expires on the first and Monaco looks like ass.
 
Halo: Reach is one of the games that is on my list to be included in a buy 2 get 1 free used game sale.  I will definitely take it for free!

Well, usually you can download the free game the evening before the actual date. So late on August 31, you could still "buy" it for free before your Gold ends.

I have Monaco and Halo Reach, both are great games.

Don't have an xbox one yet so I'll add Super Time Force to my growing list of games when I finally buy one.

Microsoft announced on the 28th again at 9am pacific. That seems to be the GWG announcement time each month lately.

Mine is silver also. It was for the update to increase storage space on the discs. I believe (I'm not 100%) that one version was to test the update via internet and the other had the update on disc. That way they could test both ways of delivery for said update.

It has been done in the past. Some months we get two games and some months we get one. Super Time Force is worth 2 games though. One of the best X1 games.

There were two discs.  I got the green one too.  Fieldkillah is exactly right.  One of the discs had all the updates they were testing on the disc and the other disc had updates that you had to download online.

That's what I'm hoping I can do. just wish Reach was the first game since I wanted it instead of Monaco.
I guess I will hold off on using my other $8 , 3 month gold cards.

Nice... Still only 1 GWG that I  own (Stupid MS, making Civ:Rev free 2 weeks after a great sale on it). :) I played Reach back in the day, but I don't have it anymore.

I just hope they keep doing decent sales on the One. I didn't jump on Rivals (yet), but I hope they keep with the 50% off deals. Eventually, a few I want will drop (Ryse, ACIV, etc.)

Yeah. I'd argue that Velocity 2X and Super Time Force (newer indie 2D titles from respected indie devs) are kinda on the same footing, as are Monaco and Hoard (both for last gen systems, older downloadable co-op focused games).

Making it Sportsfriends, PS All Stars, Joe Danger, and TxK vs. Halo Reach and the Crimson Dragon repeat. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I'd take the 4 Sony games over the 2 Xbox games.

A lot of it matters if you have a PS4/PS3/Vita though, which I do.

 
I'm excited to finally play Super Time Force from Games with Gold. I already got the digital version of Halo Reach for free from MS and I already have Monaco on Steam, so that part of GWG is less useful for me. 

I'm not a big fan of MS playing the "Will you get two XB1 games this month or will you just get one?" game with their XB1 portion of GWG.

This is what I have also, so I'm very happy to add Readh to my digital catalog. It's a great game....at least I really liked the campaign. This is a solid GwG offering.

I predicted super time force. I didn't have interest before, but it looks okay. Not complaining.
 
You can pre-order Destiny now on X1. Its only 18 gb, thats not big at all, i think Bungie lied to us about how big the game world will be ;(

Yep, Skyrim is 6gb and we all know how small that game was. Size means almost nothing.

Well I've got a PS3 and a PS4. I sold my Vita. I finally gave up on it after having fully supported that thing since launch and defending it. I was pretty much done with it and from the looks of things, everything on the Vita will eventually be available somewhere else and I'm not big on JRPGs.

Don't you already own a digital copy? That's the disc I have, but when a later update stopped it from booting, they provided me with a Reach redemption code.

Sold the code since I didn't plan on playing the game more and it was still a relatively new game. I'm an oldschool hardcore CAG hustla.

Results so far:
Choppy playback on avi file that plays fine on the 360. :(

That really sucks. I would have liked them to keep that for fresh buy in and then once you own a season the other seasons are half of that. Even could have made it so that you would only get the discount on $40 package if you already had bought in at that level. $80 for two seasons of characters and their costumes is a little silly when it's not even proven out of it will sustain itself as a tournament level game. Then if they decide to do another season of original characters that's another $40. I like the overall model but would really rather them just release a disc every few years instead if it winds up costing that much.
