I thought that they would have some kind of alternative for Steam version. Are the weapon stashes and various air supports completely removed in the Steam version?
Q. The Xbox One version supported Kinect and SmartGlass integration. Is there a similar feature for the Steamworks version?
A: No. Both of those are platform-specific features unique to the Xbox One console, and therefore unavailable for Steamworks version.

Q. What about the side quests and drone strikes that were accessible via SmartGlass?
A. SmartGlass-specific side quests and additional features are not included in the PC release.

Uber Entertainment just announce a new gaming project. Apparently, this is why they rush Planet Annihilation out of Early Access too soon. With the current stage of the PA (broken gameplay, single player require internet connection, bad netcode, crappy servers etc.), I wonder who will support them in their new project

Sounds like that is going to be what Planetary Annihilation was supposed to be, just under different name, so they can excuse new kickstarter to collect money and since it shares same code they can port some of (not all, so there's more reasons to upgrade) bugfixes to PA to still look good. :D

Looks more appealing than PA to me. I can see it getting a lot of support.

That really sucks. Not super important features, but still a decent chunk of the game. I sure mods will eventually bring air strikes.

... of $4.99

Hmm. I'll have to agree with everyone that the timing on that announcement is not good, given the unresolved PA issues. But damn does that trailer ever make that game look like something that I need to play.

the last time I fell for a crappy game b/c of cool trailer was Leviathan Warship.. before you look it up, remember that the community is dead. most of the game (multiplayer focus) are barren and abandoned by developer. it has in game purchase also (by passing Steam dlc option)

It is like my Steam Wallet (Card Money) knows what I want. Crazy out of that long list this is the one that I wanted the most. Also now it can be bundled.

I went through my bundle tracker spreadsheet and apparently I've never bought a bundle with Canyon Capers.

I'm tempted to grab one of the free Indie Gala keys just for funsies now. How bad can it be?

i think you mistake expansion versus patches? Patches fix bugs... expansion adds content
Unfortunately, D3 is nearly unplayable without the RoS "Patch".

Now for something completely different.

Refurb Swiftech Radiators with fans Under 40 Bucks! This actually is something that's hot hot hot!

I've been running 1/2" High Flow rigs my whole life... but if you're into 3/8" low flow loops, get some!

So my laptop has developed a column of dead/stuck pixels. They appear when white is present in a certain area of my screen, but not blacks or darker colors. For instance, my Start screen is black and my name is white, and the line only appears from my name to the bottom.

Here's a picture of the spot without white:

Here's a picture of the spot with white present at the very top:

Same section. I ran a dead pixel corrector Youtube video for six hours and it didn't do anything. Just bought this laptop a week ago (it's a touch screen). Any advice?

Return it for a warranty repair.

I've had similar problem with my older laptop and it happened, because of damaged cable/tape connection to the screen. I managed to fix it temporarily, but I don't have resources and tools to fix it properly.

unplayable? how so? there are ppl who play vanilla right now w/o the expansion and it runs just fine (RH is removed for vanilla, loot 2.0 is working well for vanilla with recent patches etc.) You don't need ROS expansion to enjoy the game.

I know what you're saying but in this case the expansion is vital. D3 vanilla will give you a solid playthrough or two of the main storyline and that's pretty much it. Chances of you meeting somebody to play with on the way are pretty low as everybody is either a) in Adventure Mode or b) at level 70.

Diablo is a game about grinding for better gear and taking on an incrementally harder challenge. It's fun in a way that grinding should not, ever, be. Thats the endgame and without RoS there is no endgame for you.

If people want to try D3 by buying Vanilla first, that's not a bad idea, but playing the story will only get you so far. To get the real experience you need the expac.

Sidenote: As somebody who gets interrupted by wife/son issues on a regular basis, D3 is perfect for playing in bite-size chunks. Considering how flawed the game was at launch, it's nothing short of remarkable what they've done with it since then.

Adding to the free birthday burger discussion a couple months ago: Ruby Tuesday now offers this as well. Go to rubytuesday.com and at the top there is a link for So Connected. That's their email spam and free birthday burger program.

so that's "UNPLAYABLE"? that sound like you just described Diablo 2 and that game is w/o adventure mode and that game is very much playable. What we have now for vanilla D3 is very much viable and ppl who invest $ into will have many more hours of fun to come. I would think ROS expansion is just the icing on top and not "a must have" to get a playable experience of the Diablo world.

Vanilla D3 goes as far as level 60. RoS lifts the level cap to level 70. My point is that there's nothing wrong with Vanilla, but it'll be a very lonely experience. Diablo shines when you can just hop in and out of a group.

Plus Adventure Mode keeps things fresh. Playing the story over and over got boring real quick when it was first released.
