I haven't even played black flag yet. I'm waiting for the new one to come out and pick it up dirt cheap. Haven't played an Ass Creed game since the first one was dissapointing.

I'm the same, and it's going to be tough to say no to the $10 cert + GCU price but need to send a message, maybe just rent it on Gamefly.

I doubt a 2 week old game will see any real sale on black Friday unless it's lumped into a buy 2 get 1 free Target deal or something like that.

 
Brotherhood, Revelations, and AC III were all $35 on BF at Best Buy.

Not sure about the other 2 or Black Flag, but that's been the trend from what I remember.

All Assassin's Creed games get at least a small price drop on BF, whether they come out in October or November. It's literally never not happened. I don't expect this year to be any different.

I think we'll see Rogue for $39.99(maybe $34.99) in multiple places and Unity at $49.99(or possibly $39.99).

I've never not gotten an AC game at launch, outside of AC1. It's been somewhat of a yearly tradition for me to play it during the long Thanksgiving weekend(and before, that's just when I have a lot of time to actually finish them), but this will be the first year that it doesn't happen. I'm definitely waiting for a sale, be it BF or closer toward the end of the year.

Looks like Brotherhood was $39.99 at Kmart. Wasn't on sale at Best Buy.

Revelations and III was in fact 34.99 at best buy

Yeah, I was wrong. I thought they all came out in October but it was only III that did.

I think we'll see a good sale on Rogue but not really on Unity.

I wonder if I should hold off for the PS+ version of DriveClub coming out in the afternoon, due to the reviews. Was about to head out to pick up my copy from Kmart.

The reviews have been mixed, so I would try the plus version out first. Its not like your Kmart copy is going anywhere lol

 
Black Friday sales for most of the October and November games will probably be $40/$50. They probably won't need to cut prices that much because I expect software and hardware sales are going to be very well this year. With that in mind you'd probably be better off getting most of the games at launch from Best Buy if you have GCU since that'll make them $50 + most of the titles get a $10 Reward Zone Certificate.

I imagine it'll go live today so if you're apprehensive you may as well wait and try the PS+ edition out to see how you like it lest you waste $60 or whatever you paid for it.

 
Unity update per Eurogamer:

UPDATE: Final specs could still change, Ubisoft now says.

Ubisoft has told Eurogamer that Assassin's Creed Unity's final technical specifications for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are actually still to be locked down.

With around six weeks to go until the game's launch, the developer revealed in a new expanded statement that there was still room for things to change.

"Final specs for Assassin's Creed Unity aren't cemented yet," a Ubisoft spokesperson explained, "but we can say we showed Assassin's Creed Unity at 900p during our hands-on preview event last week. We're confident that gamers will be thrilled with the gorgeous graphics and how Paris is brought to life in Assassin's Creed Unity.

"The development team has been hard at work delivering the best Assassin's Creed possible on next generation consoles. Regardless of which platform you're playing on, Assassin's Creed Unity will answer what an Assassin's Creed game built from the ground up for the next generation of gaming looks like and will be the best looking Assassin's Creed game ever developed."

I would. Not that the game is bad or anything but looks kinda limited as in things to do.

I have a decent amount of SYWR points to cover the purchase plus 20,000 points for purchasing the game. Based on the reviews, the game looks amazing, handles fine, but just didn't do anything special.

The ps4 needs better media support period. I sold my ps3 so I could get an xbox one this month and have been using my nexus 7 for watching all my movies and stuff because heaven forbid my ps4 can play mp4s off an external harddrive which i have 3 of lying around. I hope the x1 can at least do that

 
Am I the only one who feels like the price of driveclub will plummet quickly because of the price differential between digital and physical?  Too bad the disc copy can't just unlock the full version of the digital version stored on your harddrive and let you keep the disc on the shelf.  I'm dissapointed that drm like that was removed from the x1. I would love to have the resale value of the physical copy but, the convenience of having all your stuff right on the harddrive.

I don't think you know how their DRM plan was really going to work.

And no, you can't play MP4s on Xbox One. Both systems really limited themselves on the media side.

Freaking bs somebody needs to hurry up and fix that. But, I really do wish someone would implement drm like that.

I figured that was the case, I kept trying to quote your post to correct you but it wouldn't let me. :wall:

I definitely agree that the likelihood of Rogue having a good sale is better, but I still think we'll see at least a $10-15 drop on Unity.

You can play MP4s on the Xbox One if you use Plex both in the media player and the Plex app (released today).

I have used it before and it wasn't that bad. Just not as foolproof as plugging in a usb drive and playing the video 100% every time. I wonder if my old netbook could handle it halfway decent. It's running lubutnu and basically acting as a torrent/ftp server for my house and is connected to same gigabit switch that my x1 will be connected too. well quick and dirty setup works fine on my phone from my netbook but, the daily show shows up as americas funniest home videos which is weird

I'm sure this has been discussed but has their been any announcement as to when things like Youtube and HBO go will be brought to the PS4? Want to get rid of some of my older consoles and streaming is the only reason they're not in storage

It hasn't been released yet, it was supposed to go out today so I'm thinking later today is when it should come up.

No word on HBO Go, but Youtube is supposed to come when firmware 2.0 releases and according to various new sites that should be very close to releasing.

Thank you. I use my 360 for streaming primarily because it loads faster then my PS3 but last time I used the PS3 I "thought" I saw sony had developed a HBO Go app for that. Did they or am I imagining things again?

Sony really dropped the ball for DriveClub's launch. Network issues on launch day for their own 1st party game along with NBA 2K15. Not a single comment on the PS Blog about what happen to the PS+ version. Should had picked up Horizon 2 at launch instead, now I have to wait for some sort of sale.

Yeah I'm feeling pretty good about my Forza Horizon 2 purchase right about now. Got it on GCU and getting $10 in Xbox credit, not a bad deal for a great game. With really no incentive to buy DriveClub and the PS+ version, I was definitely taking a wait and see approach to it, and glad that I did.

 
Officially Wednesday and still no drive club ps+ edition way to go sony.  Not that I can complain too much about a free game. And to people who have FH2 is it more arcacey or more simmy?  I think I will either get it day and date with my sunset overddrive bundle or maybe wait until black friday to see if there is a deal like most other forza games have been discounted

 
i really want to try out drive club but will not buy it hearing pretty bad things about it and frrom what i seen on twitch it don't look great at all. What was the point of year delay and then have it suck

It plays like Need for Speed Rivals (So arcade) without the cops and a very good soundtrack. Based on my limited time with the demo.

I would had done the same if I didn't held out for DriveClub instead.

decent review from ign and are you really going to judge a game by twitch stream? It can't hurt to check it out if you have PS+
