Dang, i was hoping that today it would flip to have the rest of the summer sale deals back instead of just 48hrs of the same ones. I missed out on space hulk, and i'm sure its worth the current price or $7.99, but $3.99 for space hulk ultimate is rad.

I would have also picked up Space hulk ascension at $10.19....<sadpanda>
Nothing ever changes or gets added once the encore sale starts. It used to be only 1 day, but for some cockamamie reason they went to 2 this past winter sale. I don't know why they cant just have brand new deals all through Sunday and then Monday can be the encore day.

If you want to get creative, I've seen people trading the 2-Pack of Space Hulk for 3 keys. Trade for a 2 pack, then trade or sell the extra copy for a key or two and buy the DLC with whatever you make from that. You can find plenty of sellers that sell keys for below $2 a piece. you might even be able to find a single copy for 1 key, and then just buy the DLC. $0.75 more than $3.99 if you bought the DLC alone right now, but still ways to get close to that price point even now.

dang can amazon price match that steam age of empires III complete for $4.39. that is temptinggg.
Won't happen. Amazon's digital department is about as reliable as....well, nothing. Ever since Tony left and then Josh went to ground they've been one of the worst retailers for digital games around. Their deals are hit or miss at best and their aggressive price matching tactics they employed in other sales are a thing of a past. Even their Summer Sale two weeks ago or whatever was pretty paltry. If you want it, just get it on Steam.

I think there must be a loyalty discount for owning the original Space Hulk also because my receipt says Space Hulk Ascension was $5.69 (or was it glitched?).

What I find most amusing about these haul posts is the sheer amount of folks with HyperDimension Neptunia and Sakura Spirits/Angels. Let me find out that the PC Master Race is infested with otaku/weeaboos.

all of the true otaku/weeaboos are on PS3/PS4 camps.

I am surprised that ppl buying HyperDimension Neptunia like hot cakes but then again, there is very few games like this on the PC anyway. HN wasn't that impressive on PS3 and the sales was merely ok, considering there are many other Jpn games on the PS3 with much better gameplay

Um...this is the Steam/PC thread. These are the cheapest the HN games have ever been on PC, especially since HNR2 was just released. Please tell of other weeabo games that present me with little girls in skimpy clothing, terrible story, and great gameplay.

It's worth noting that the ones released on PC are Re;Birth 1 & 2. These are ports from the Vita (nuts, I know) that are the remakes of the PS3 versions. The remakes did a lot of work to fix what was wrong on the PS3, thus if you search 'round the 'nets, you're going to see people giving much more praise to the PC/Vita versions.

For the most part, although the AC Rogue @ 75% off was a good deal. Steam's sale didn't even get close to that.

There was always an audience for that stuff on the PC. Japan just didn't notice until recently.

Anyway Neptunia was a good deal. It's something that (probably) won't get bundled, the first one is a fairly recent release, the second one is a really recent release and they put the DLC on the same deep discount too. Not too much to complain about there, unless you want to nitpick the extra 5% of it 70% instead of 75% off.

Bioshock Infinite Complete is $8 (Steam key). You need to log in to buy it at $8 price though

https://www.gameagent.com/games/bioshock-infinite-complete-bundle

I bought from these guys before. (bioshock and Borderland 2 complete). Total legit

Totally worth that.

Aspyr Media (a game publisher, who owns publishes Mac stuff) owns them. So, yeah - definitely legit.

What's good w/ Bioshock Infinite is - it's Steamplay-supported. So, yep - you get both Mac + Windows versions automatically, when buying a Steam-key from anywhere + registering it onto Steam.
Knew about the Steamworks cross-play, but had not heard of gameagent (only macgamestore). $7.50 was my Steam sale target price, so 50 cents more isnt a big deal. Now this gives me a real reason to play the base game again. I've not played an FPS with KB/M since Wolfenstein 3D so it will be good to practice with a game where I know where everything is. Thanks y'all for the heads up.

BTW: I'm not upset or anything. I'm just surprised. I also live in the Japanese niche game thread here. I'm happy to see these games on PC. Hopefully, this means that there will be enough of these games on PC (and Vita) that I wont need to get a PS4 (at least until Kingdom Hearts 3). I kinda feel bad about the Neptunia 2 discount though as that game *just* came out with a 50% discount. Even though it's sort of in the refund period, for many, I'm sure they have put in the two hours prior to the policy coming out. I'm just glad I decided to wait a bit.

You want mount your friends, don't you.

I'm still debating on whether to pick up Resident Evil 6 or Revelations (holding myself back since I own RE5 and haven't played it.)

Really on the fence about Dishonored Bragmore Witches DLC. I really want to play it, since I loved everything about Dishonored, but I hate to give Bethesda the satisfaction and encourage their DLC pricing.

Also: Bioshock Infinite Season pass. Missed the $5 price and have been waiting for it to hit that point ever since. Kind of tempted by the $8 complete version Agentghost linked... I've got to stop buying anything but 'complete' editions. It always annoys me when I have to re-buy things I already own to 'save money'.

Had hoped Styx would go cheaper, since I've wanted to play that since the release trailer, maybe during the winter sale. Here's hoping it an all my other price-point wants (Dying Light, Mordor, Watch_Dogs, etc) will happen before/during the Winter Sale.

Edit: I have $12 in gabenbux left over and don't know if I should hoard it for the post-sale 'sales' or just blow it all.
I'll never buy a Bethesda game that isn't a complete edition, because of their DLC shenanigans. Though, it's going to be hard waiting for a Fallout 4 complete edition to hit a decent price. Damn you, Beth and your sh*tty DLC prices.

My Summer Haul:

Helping others get to the 100M badge in the Monster Summer Game. While DrR0Ck got lucky in my room and leeches away.

We're now officially nerds, and losers.

Then you'd be really sad to know....

If you owned Space Hulk then Ascension was like 81% off. Heck, you could even buy Space Hulk and then buy Ascension for a couple of bucks less than the Ascension sale price alone. It's always good to pay close attention to your Steam Friends' Activity feed and this thread during sales because there are so many less-than-obvious deals to be had.

I'll take Bethesda's eventual GOTY editions over Bioware Points. My Mass Effect 3 game may never be complete! :-({|=

PC has been thirsting for JRPGs for a long time. Since the beginning of time, we've only had VNs and doujin style games. The time to be a pc weeb has come, and so have we.

That does indeed make me sad :(

I guess there's always the winter sale

Hey guys, if there's a Steam game on Summer Sale but I "buy" it through Tremor, do I add it to my Steam Summer Sale haul list or not? Need answer fast!
You can do like I did and separate your lists from where you bought them.

See my Summer 2015 Haul for formatting:

HitlerCat's formatting in his Haul post below this post of mine is pretty good, as well.

That group might help, they start new rooms and level them up pretty fast.
Ok first of all, I want to thank Spoder again for calling this group to my attention yesterday. I got my 100Mil Wormhole badge around 12 hours after joining one of those group-run rooms.

*Tips hat to Spoder*

Secondly, I'm bumping this post to bring it to the attention of anyone who wants to try and get to 100Mil, but didn't see this post yesterday. You still stand a good chance of making it if you join a room (that the group is hosting) over the next couple of hours. Good luck people.

I'm trying to join one of those wormhole rooms and I can't get in. I already got the badge and want to help more people get it. Stupid limit. :(

taken from slickdeals, apparently there is a glitch with the g502 logitech mouse + $40 steam card glitch in store only

There was no mention of the bundle in the store. The mouse had a sale price of 67.99 on the shelf. I just grabbed it and 2 $20 cards and went to the register. They rang it up and it automatically deducted the $40 off from the steam cards and the mouse stayed the 67.99 sale price. proof in receipt

Well, caved on Hyperdimension Neptunia 1 + DLC because all you guys keep talking about it. This game better be adorable and cute or I will be very disappointed.

I can't figure out why buying things piecemeal should be cheaper than buying a complete package.
I can't figure out why you keep making this flawed argument.

Its called customer service. Other publishers and devs get this concept, Bethesda understands it but just gives a middle finger to people who buy the base game. Its especially bad on Bethesda cause the assholes continue to keep the base price of the DLC inflated so high that even when it is on sale, its a fucking ripoff compared to a weak discount on the complete version. Buying their games plus DLC piecemeal would cost $65, because 2 DLCs have the same base price as the original game, despite being 1/10th of the content. Plenty of other devs/pubs offer an upgrade to a complete version. Bestheda, again, fuck people who buy the base game.

I'm totally fine with a complete package giving a little bit of a discount. What I'm not fine with is giving your loyal early adopters a shit 33-50% sale on the already higher piecemeal package that obviously doesn't benefit from a group discount while slashing the price of the complete package for the feet draggers to 66-75% on top of the bulk discount it already has built in.

The solution to this is for no one to buy the base game and let it flop, then it gets a huge discount with all the DLC that everyone can buy super cheap. :p
