On the other hand, if he's too distracted to look for $110 keyboards he might finally spend $5 on Steam
i have never spend more than $15 on a mouse or keyboard. they keyboard and mouse i am currently using cost $14.99 as a combo mouse and keyboard pack. so that is like $7.50 each

Soooo, how bout them deals?

I can't figure out why buying things piecemeal should be cheaper than buying a complete package.
Steam logic. Only Gabe knows for sure.

Bioshock Infinite Complete is $8 (Steam key). You need to log in to buy it at $8 price though

I bought from these guys before. (bioshock and Borderland 2 complete). Total legit
Tempting.

I'm less into these haul posts than I used to be, but for whatever it's worth, here's mine. Like others, bought a surprising amount from Steam despite finding the sale totally uninspiring. I got very little from my wishlist and instead focused on blowing card money for the +1s. In the end I ended up having to shell out of pocket for Spider-Man, which was unexpected.
I technically spent more on Steam than GOG this time around but that's just because I grabbed Take On Mars. I've been interested in checking that out for a while but it hasn't been cheaper than about $15 for a few years now. Bohemia always includes it in the big seasonal sales, but usually at 15-25% off, so 33% was a big deal. It'll probably be in a bundle 6-12 months after it gets out of EA, but I didn't want to wait that long. I actually picked up two movies and a game from my GOG wishlist from GOG, which is probably the most money I've spent there in years. Aside from the Mars game, I only grabbed Broken Sword 4 from Steam.

I definitely still have a "me" copy of Arcanum - sitting in its 2-CD jewel case. It's in one of those jewel-case shelves.

Did you play Arcanum in turn-based mode? I prefer it in that way.

I do suggest players start in Turn-Based Mode - especially if you want to capture that old-school Fallout1+2 gameplay feel.

Arcanum relies heavily on stats + levels - especially in RT combat.

Save frequently, of course - even more so especially, if you're going to flip b/t Real and Turn-based.

I really dug Arcanum's setting, story, and especially its music.
Nope, don't remember. That was early '90s, right? What I remember most about Arcanum and Lionheart from that time period was being really excited because they sounded cool and not getting very far in either one due to issues with the combat being absurdly difficult and the actual gameplay itself being a bit tedious. I've been meaning to give Lionheart another shot since I snagged one of those GOG Interplay packs a long time ago when they were ridiculously cheap, but I've yet to get around to it.

Wasted $11 on Hyperdimension Neptunia.
I've also been thinking about wasting some money on that game. I don't know why, but I want that game more than any of the games on sale that I want. But, dammit, I already grabbed Agarest (another anime-ish turn based rpg) earlier in the sale and installed it. I've already committed to almost playing, but actually not-playing, one game of that genre.

I don't know if I'll realistically be able to finish Witcher 3 & Batman AND Agarest before the next time Hyperdimension Neprunia is on sale for potentially a dollar less. But...what if the damn game never goes on sale again until Christmas of 2017 like how every that time Recettear was dirt cheap in a holiday sale years ago and everyone who missed it boycotted buying that game until it went on sale for that cheap again, which didn't happen for a lONG time.

sigh...I guess I'll just sit here and get schooled in gwent by that noble in the garden of wtvr-castle in Witcher 3

all of the true otaku/weeaboos are on PS3/PS4 camps.

I am surprised that ppl buying HyperDimension Neptunia like hot cakes but then again, there is very few games like this on the PC anyway. HN wasn't that impressive on PS3 and the sales was merely ok, considering there are many other Jpn games on the PS3 with much better gameplay
Nope, and nope to the other guy with the 12-year-old loli avatar.

This is PC gaming, and PC gaming is the Master Race of all gaming. Otaku/weeaboo kids jump on the Playstation bandwagon because they aren't old enough to buy their own PCs yet. Vocaloids? We got that. Fan-created games? We got that. Visual novels about fucking pigeons and sushi? We got that. Games straight from Japan? Yeah, we got that too. If I wanted to, I could download Akiba's Trip or some other weeaboo game and play it on some emulator for free right now.

You guys posted an app a bit back that helps sell your cards.... where is that app?  My google fu is failing right now and I'm too tired after a shitty fathers day worth of work to sift through 400 pages individually.

Arcanum came out in 2001.

I liked Lionheart - but like yourself, never finished it. I really should pick it back up and try to give it another go around, sometime. Maybe, if I actually stop buying + playing new stuff, that could happen!

But, yes - both games can be difficult. Save very often in those 2 games, for sure.

I remember Arcanum. The trailer's ending made me laugh, the PC Gamer Magazine's 9.0 rating hooked me in and the premise of steampunk + magic kept me there. FAR better than most of the indie junk released recently considered the game is almost 20 yrs old

Since I know there's a couple out there debating over their weeaboo Neptunia purchase, lemme sweeten the deal kinda sorta.

I have a couple Steam GCs worth $20. $18 each sound fair to someone looking to make a bad decision?

I'd prefer a regular someone who won't steal my digital kidney, cuz fuck the cesspool*, so ya'll just PM me if you're interested, ya hear?

*edited in case I have to move to the cesspool

I'm about to bite on arx fatalis just because it is the best price in 3 years. And because it is a good game of course

Was about to buy Return to Wolfenstein, but It will be this price again soon and I still won't play it.

Was also considering Neptunia... But... No. It's on my wishlist, but no, bought a lot already.

And finally, about old RPGs... Someone need to do a game on the dark sun universe again. Loved those games

Dude, you guys, I just just got an email from Steam and apparently, a game from my Wishlist is on sale. This is fuck ing awesome, yo!

Couldn't resist, picked up The Crew from the trading thread. I kept thinking about it since seeing the sale on Steam and PSN, I just want it and it was cheap.
How much ya give fur it?

In fairness, Aracanum is of a genre which ages particularly well in general. Also in fairness, most games are better than a lot of the indie junk released anymore. ALSO in fairness, I pooped a turd recently which is better than a lot of the indie junk released recently.

If you only bought Neptunia 1, you're CAGing wrong.

On a side note, just got my first foil. Stupid monster one that sells for 46c. Much disappoint

Thanks guys, got the thing to work.  Already made 4 bucks.. and still have quite a bit up for sale.  Wonder if I'll be able to afford Arx with it.  If I do.. then yay.. but I think it'll run out of steam (snicker) somewhere around 11 bucks or so.  I only have 1 foil up so it's mostly cheapys.

^so you Snakeybro it, basically?
I actually tried to coin SolidNakedSnakeEyes'ing it, which is basically thinking you're hot shit that you got a newish release game at same lame discount through shady traders or sites, as a corollary to Fakeybro'ing it but it never really caught on.

Pity.

Was doing great. The little town of Aviono, 20k food, 78 adults, around 12 children, and 15 years in. When the 16th year came around, it all went to hell. A fire started, burning one of the three storage barns stocked with food. I tried to get my little people to fight the fire with the wells nearby. They failed miserably and the other two barns caught fire, (this is about the time I realized putting all my food storages close together was a mistake). The fire started to spread to the wooden houses nearby, so I paused the game and looked up how to fight the damn fire. I figured out prioritizing the fire would help, so I did it and it did the trick. After the fire was put out, I checked out the damage. All my food gone and 5-6 houses destroyed. I knew my first priority should be to get my food back up to support my ever growing population of little people. This is where I realised I had made another mistake. Over 70% of my food was coming from potato farms, and guess what? All of my farms were right next to each other and an infestation started. Farm after farm were getting infected and loosing crops and I had no idea how to stop it. (I'm not one to go back and load and earlier save) So I paused it and looked it up, I couldn't find out how to stop it this time and I let it run it's course. Now the starvation began, and the graveyard began to fill up with little people's grave stones. It was too late to plant crops to get enough food to feed them all, so I basically gave up and watched everyone die a horrible death. I closed my eyes, mourning the loss of the little people that I had led around for so long. Then...I opened my eyes. I had three people still living! One 19 year old male and one 22 year old mother with her 6 year old male child. I had another chance to fix the broken city and save Aviono. This female was my last hope, unless I could get her with a female child, all was lost. So I set them to work tearing down the now unoccupied houses of the original Aviono, since I was almost completely out of materials. I got them to live close to eachother and waited paitently untill....success! A female child was born. Life was good again. I set my new couple to tearing down everything not needed for materials and the future growth or Aviono. In the end, I had two stone houses, one of every type of resource production buildings, a town hall, and a cemetery (to remind me of the past mistakes). I got my population back up to 16 little people, and I sat back and sighed with relief. I had saved a town.

Then I realised that the new towns folk were all inbred children from the three survivors....

Well, caved on Hyperdimension Neptunia 1 + DLC because all you guys keep talking about it. This game better be adorable and cute or I will be very disappointed.
It's cute but, I wouldn't really recommend it. Neps are generally mediocre games. Not terrible, but not great either. If you want cute, get a vita or ps3 and get Atelier games instead.

IFI has been pretty good on the pricing. You'll at least get another chance in the winter sale. Possibly sooner.

Nope, and nope to the other guy with the 12-year-old loli avatar.
Who are you calling a 12 year old loli!? I hope it's me. :3

Completely different type of JRPG

I just hit level 50 steam level and I was all excited.  I was like "woohoo! extra unlock on my profile page."  Then I realized I hadn't even used the fourth unlock I got back during the Winter Sale.

I'd like to give a  Special shout out to Motoki and Flowette who tossed me friend requests recently so I could get an extra card from the Monster game for joining a friend's game.

I was just spamming a bunch of videos and noticed that one is 33 minutes long; for 5 points :speaktothehand:
Most of them give points after a fairly short period of time no matter how long the actual videos are (I went to work and left one on once and it was a non stop stream of crappy bobo Reality web shows running all day long).

The cake Tillamook is a lie though.

Yeah, I wound up fast-forwarding it to the end after a few minutes and it credited.  I blew 3300 pts on Child of Light earlier but I figured better a game I might actually play than ten shitty 300pt bundle games.  Still, I need to make some points back now.

So...did they region-lock South American games on the Steam Store? I see a few games on this list that are nice and cheap in BRL (Valkyria is $3 instead of $5) and most companies do NA/SA together...
