Xbox One CAG Game Night

You guys know the drill by now - I'll be on about 10pm EST tonite. In for FH2 or whatever else. Maybe we can continue dominating in Battlefield tonite, too. fuck it, I'll play anything.

Great decision. So far we'be been playing a lot of Titanfall, BF4, and PvZ which are all part of EA access. Hardline is on the docket as well which has a 10 hour online trial I believe so we won't even be needing to purchase that for game night.

Also gonna try to get an external poll of some sort linked in the OP so we can vote again

Yeah, at $20 (thanks to a code from that Golden Crisp deal) it was an easy choice. Looking forward to diving into PVZ, NFS Rivals, and Inqiusition down the road.
 
Kinda off-topic, what do you guys use for headsets?  I was thinking of getting the Stereo Adapter so I can use my Sony Golds on game nights but it has some bad reviews at the MS Store.  Any CAG's have it and some opinions on it? 

 
Sorry I missed last night, was in the hospital from Thursday night to this morning (Tuesday).  Hope to play Friday night tho!

 
I've been waiting for a nice headset, I can't justify covering both of my ears and drowning out my surround sound unless it's with a surround headphone. And of course our wonderful machine doesn't play nice like every other system.

I have the headset adapter, and if you aren't an audiophile it's great. It only puts out stereo sound, but you have the ability to adjust the volume of the chat and game sound coming through the headset so the game sound never drowns out the chat. I think I read in the XBL thread that a few people with the new controller with built in headphone Jack will still be using the adapter because of the control it gives you.

What is the Dying Light multiplayer like? With it being 30 this week at Best Buy, tempted to pick up a copy.

Oh, and the j is lowercase as well. In fact, there isn't a single uppercase letter in my gamer tag. I can't be bothered with that nonsense.

You can start multilayer after 30 mins or so of tutorial. After that people join in randomly or you can join on others to complete missions together and slay zombies. Up to 4 people, and at night if the host has it set for invasions you might get hunter by another player.

All of your progress is saved and if you've already completed the game you can make a new game plus or just go back and finish up quests, collectables, and achievements.

I have plenty of weapons, items, and powerup to help anyone if they wanna slay some zombies. Anymore question and I'll be happy to try and fill you in on them.
 
To the usual late night crew: Mrshll, Stryke, Darby, .... do you guys want to try out Evolve as the second game this Friday? (As of right now I should be able to join up late tomorrow.)

If I had it I would, unfortunately I do not. Evolve might be a good game for next Monday though since I work and wouldn't make it until the final hour or so. :p

 
Friday nights it's easier for me to stay up late, particularly if I just come home after work and crash (no work on the weekends).  Mondays is more difficult to stay up "late" since I'm in EST and have to be up for 6:30 AM for 8:00 AM shift.

Was there a game decided for Friday?  I missed Monday, so I'm out of the loop.  I could do Evolve.  I bought the Hunting Season 1 pass when it dropped to $15, so I wouldn't mind trying out some of the new characters (or really, any of them, I've probably played less than 10 times).

 
I've been slammed with work and haven't made a poll yet, so if we want to just agree upon something for tomorrow night it might work best. Im up for anything really, aside from PvZ (unless people really want it). Evolve is definitely something I wanna get into but it sounds like the Monday after would be best for that.

And tandjame I'm not sure if that will throw things off but I'll edit it.

No worries man. I thought caps effected gamer tags but I just found out they don't at all. I just didn't want anyone adding a random stranger when they were trying to add me, but that won't be the case.
 
Seems we might have some new people this week. Nice. Just like last week, I'm up for playing Battlefield until 2am again with the late late shift. :)

I was thinking BF4 might be a good jumping off point but I actually voted for FC4. I just think that will make for some interesting moments. I unfortunately am on call on Saturday and Sunday so I probably won't be on as late this week

Is there PvP in FC4 and, if so, how many players?  I've only done it co-op.  Depending on the game (most of them I have, a few I don't), I'm confirming for 9 PM EST.

 
Add me to the list for Friday night. I should be able to make it, but no guarantees... Im in the midst of packing for a 7+ hour move :wall:

But I'll try, odds are I'll be sick of packing and will probably want to just relax and play.  Also might have a friend with me.

I'm sure I've said this before, but as long as it's a game that I wouldn't need a mic to enjoy, you can count me in. It's just late at night with the baby asleep in the next room I can't really be doing that. That's why dark souls is perfect for me. Pvp, co-op, etc... No mic needed. I know titanfall, evolve, cod, etc... All need mics to fully participate and I definitely don't want to be the guy slowing down the rest of the group.

Oh snap, I tied it up for Titanfall last night and now it's winning! I don't even have the game but plan on getting EA Access if it wins. So be prepared to play with a TF newbie! Gotta take the wife car shopping so may be an hour late but as of now, I intend on making the session.

Man, if it's Titanfall, I'll be excited.  Love that game. 

You actually don't need a mic for Titanfall.  I mean, you'll personally enjoy the experience more since we all talk to each other, but it's really not an issue if you don't have one.  Coordination - while helpful in certain modes (like hardpoint or capture the flag) - really only becomes an issue if we play against another team and they're well coordinated (which is rare).  However, if we do story mode or attrition, you're fine without a mic.

Since that seems super long - my point is - mic or no mic, you'll have fun.

I haven't ever done one of these, but I am interested in playing tonight. Titanfall or Battlefield 4 are preferable. My gamertag is BrownWing.

 
I'm downloading a system update now. Been a while since I've played my Xbox One. Destiny and Rocket League on PS4 have owned my video gaming time. I'm sure I suck at Titanfall now.
 
If we have more than 6 tonight and play Titanfall, we should probably party up in groups of six and then join relatively empty playlists so we can have two CAG teams playing against each other.  Just an idea.

 
Voted Titanfall as that and SO are all I own for Xbone. I should be able to attend tonight finally. Just dont expect much from me I get up at 3:30am EST and im an Xbox noob, played Titanfall once a few months ago lol.  Perfect recipe for failure!

Looks like everyone should plan on playing Titanfall.  Which means if you havent downloaded the seasons pass content you should do so now.  The seasons pass is free for Titanfall.  Link here

Good news is I should be on tonight. Just have to get ea access when I get home and get the season pass. With EA Access, u still download them? Or is it played through the hub?
