WELCOME TO THE NEW GAMESTOP TRADE-IN THREAD.

The new thread format will be a work in progress but this first post will be the promos that are active and useful information, but also wikified. The second post will currently be frequently asked questions but may move it into the first post. Post three will be historical trade-in values from before the list.

Has anyone tried trading in a console if you are banned? 

I would like to unload my ps3 for a second PS4, but am currently on a trade ban :(

 
I posted this in the Best Buy trade in forum but figured I post it here too.

I was going to private message the "regulars" I see on here with some trade ins, but I couldn't find anything worth hiding. So here's some that I found real quick. Still profitable but not by much.

You will still be banned since you are tied to your PUR card and or ID (if in an id state). If you are in a state where they don't require an id then get the free PUR account and do it that way. If you are in one of the states where they id then get someone else to do it for you if necessary.

These are all games I'd like to buy and keep lol. Not really seeing it worth the effort for $20 extra bucks. Will have to think on it, unless I'm missing something. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

The thing about that is that you are transferring credit from gamestop to best buy and get some money along with it. Gcu and more frequent sales is the closing deal
 
Was in store using a credit on my Powerup Card when the register said something about a pre-authorized hold on it and being unable to use it.

Anybody ever have this happen before?

 
Is the stock checker broke on the website for anyone else right now?  It's showing everything as not in stock within 100 miles of whatever zipcode I type in. (on all items, I was checking to see if anything pennied out, but nothing is working, not even Halo 4 used)

Just checked halo 4 and it's working for me in the mobile app

Funny you asked. I had the same issue, but then I just used the app on my phone and it shows inventory.

 
Hey Guys. I went through the last 100 posts before asking this and did not see it mentioned.

Has anyone checked to see if their trade suspensions have been lifted from the 50% trade in we had earlier in the summer?

Some people checked at the start of September and they were still getting the "trade limit" message.

I would check, but I can't since I didn't go wild enough!

If NBA 2K15 is the PS4/XB1 version, and you trade it towards the PS4/XB1 version of NBA2K16, you can get 10% off of the game.


B2G1F for PS3, 360, and Wii preowned games starts this Friday, 9/25, and is good until 9/27. Early access for PUR members starts tomorrow, 9/24.

Bought 4 games today for $20. Am I just being able to take my receipt in and get 2 more games off the list for free? Is this going to be YMMV or work for everybody? Never stacks promos before not sure how it works.
 
just wondering if anyone has experience with a 20% off purchase promo for a store "moving".  apparently a store that I have visited before is moving/closing.  they're handing out coupons in store for 20% off purchase (excluding console and gift cards) at 2 nearby stores, one of which is the near home.

if it works on new products, I might get some of those Zelda puzzles that have been sitting on the shelves for months (and a new one too) and some Animal Crossing packs.  Will also return/rebuy retro 3 pack amiibo

The last time I got one of those it was 15% but only worked on one item. Does cover any new game though including picking up a preorder.
 
Clerk in my store said he thought they were running a trade promo this weekend.

Select titles, pretty long list, and a lot of the usual rarer stuff were the only details he had.
