[PC] The Indie Gala Thread

I've been looking at this bundle for a couple of days.

First of all, only 1000 of the bundles have been sold in over 24 hours -- that says something. Second, I'm pretty sure they extended the "special" price by 24 hours, which sort of just confirms that it isn't selling well.

There are a ton of games in here -- 17 in all. And at $3.49, it is not exactly expensive.

I only have 4 of the 17, so I started looking at the games individually and there's a mix of very positive to mostly negative. Some of the bad games look really bad. So much so that it brings the perception of whole bundle down.

I think this is a case where they could have trimmed the bundle by 3 or 4 games and ended up with higher quality overall. I'm in for some of the shooters, but the rest of it looks like garbage.

 
Yeah I bought an extremely similar BundleStars bundle last year or early this year and it was similar. Mostly junk stuff but I said alright cause it had an RPGMaker game haha.

I think they're all published by Black Shell Media, meaning many of these have been free before and most (if not all) of them suck. BSM really only publishes maybe 4 or 5 games that are worth playing. From what I've seen, DungeonSouls, Zombie Party, SanctuaryRPG, Overture, and maybe DungeonUp or DinoSystem seemed decent, of course none of those are in the IG bundle lol.

They've been doing the (roughly) 48 hour "special launch price" thing for two or three weeks now; it isn't unique to this bundle.

Tremor restocked the Daedelic Bundle. There's a fair number of Randall's Mondays now and a bit of Anna's Quest still left too. I assume those are the ones most people want.

Thanks for the heads up. Was able to grab the ones I wanted and stick it to the tremor hoarding foreigners!

as the owner of an Oculus Rift CV1 who has put in a grand total of 20 minutes, 15 of which were trying to watch porn (it did NOT go well, everything was blown up to 80 feet), I am in like Flynn

 
Lots of repeats in that Friday bundle. I do quite like Tennis to the Face. Was a great PS Vita game, and is a fun physics based kind of Angry Birds type games.

 
I have 4 of those, but am oddly tempted with the remaining 8. They mostly look like something I can talk myself into believing I would actually try one day. $0.37 each,,,, hmmm

 
I'm missing 5 from the friday bundle. Some of the games look halfway decent. I have no idea why they aren't putting these games in IG Monday bundles, but I ain't complaining.

Eh, the only thing that looks decent that I don't already have is Curse of the Crescent Isle, which has been cheaper by itself. Decisions, decisions.

Only one I don't own is Costume Quest 2, like just about everyone else. It'll eventually show up in a Humble $1 tier with some other junk.

 
I'm kinda surprised that bundle doesn't include Slender: The Arrival.

Considering Majesco's still ongoing financial troubles... it would be wise to get this. I'll probably go in on a group buy, too.

 
Been forever since I bothered with an IG bundle but this one looks solid.  What do they drop to for HH packages?  Like $1.50 each or something?  N-e-wayz, I'm passing the velvet ropes into the VIP section so whoever is hosting I'm skipping to the front of the line.  Others get booted to the cesspool!

 
Yep they're pretty much $1.50 max and usually a good bit below that closer to $1.00.

There's not as many CAG hosts these days though. You could try Detruire otherwise you may need to venture out into the scary world of non-CAG if he isn't hosting that one.
