Direct2Drive has WWE16 75% off for $15. Seems suspiciously too good of a deal for them considering no one else has had it anywhere near that cheap yet.
I feel like I should buy it just in case it's a mistake.
Since Tebow's not around, I guess MysterD is the resident wrasslin expert so any thoughts on this one?
Oh, crap...
Ain't played 2K16 PC - but at 70% off, I just might have to; especially given the ridiculous amount of hours I've sunk into 2K15 PC (one of my highest played games on Steam @ 157 hours); and still do! WWE 2K15 PC is the game I still kick around here and there - whether for a match, few matches, or for A LOT of hours.
Even despite my issues + problems with WWE 2K15 PC, I loved it. I expect 2K16 is basically 2K15 w/ more tweaks, fixes, options, more moves, bigger roster, Create-A-Diva, and more. I didn't like how 2K15's MyCareer ended w/ you winning the belt and then doing one final come-back run to retire - but 2K16 lets you keep going until you (hopefully) hit the Hall of Fame and/or Retire.
2K15's MyUniverse Mode was great - you can import your wrestler from MyCareer outside of MyCareer and use him. So, you could add them to the rosters. In MyUniverse - you can set-up rosters for who is on what TV show, book TV shows/matches, add TV shows, PPV's, whatever - or randomly let the game do the booking for the actual matches. You can play out the matches, simulate them, or whatever at your leisure.
You can set what belts are defended on whatever shows, as well. I had basically set-up the week like this: one nigh has a Raw Show (Monday); Smackdown Show (Friday); NXT Show (Wednesday); Main Event (for Smackdown + Raw wrestlers); Superstars (for wrestlers on NXT + Smackdown); and Saturday Night was Retro Night (for retired and legends). MyUniverse was my main mode - and felt completely endless, as it just keeps going, and going, and going. It's a perfect End-game, after you finish-up off MyCareer.
I'd expect 2K16 to be similar for MyUnivrse - and also add the kitchen sink, as well.
If you looking for arcade-y and fast wrestling like older wrestling games (i.e. Smackdown games on PSX), WWE 2K15 was NOT that. It's a bit slower-paced and MUCH more similar to the TV show - which I'm absolutely fine with. I like that it completely resembles WWE TV entirely.
If you like the sim-style of play, supposedly 2K16 continues what 2K15 did - with some tweaks and changes. Reversals were very important in 2K15 and could be spammed to death, but supposed 2K16 changes that and you have to be way more selective with how you use them + are a bit more limited on them.
Okay, that's enough on 2K15. I need to go decide if I'm gonna get 2K16.
