And unfortunately they have enough die-hard fans and players who only buy 2-3 games a year (CoD, Madden, etc) who will drop cash on it immediately to have new content w/ their friends that they'll continue to feel justified in their pricing and business model. I'll never understand the extreme profitability of the brand.

 
Call of Duty season passes have had the same amount of content in them every year for the better part of a decade (4 map packs, each pack has 4 new MP maps and 1 new Zombie/co-op map). Anyone who thought they were going to throw these remaster maps in for free is crazy.

I agree that it is an odd decision, though. Lots of people have probably moved onto Infinite Warfare (or maybe not since the MP is pretty ass this time around). I feel like it would sell pretty well as a standalone game, even if they bumped the price up some and included all of the Zombie maps from BO3.

Never buying another NBA 2K game ever again. The 2K series is now catering towards the most hardcore players out there and when you couple the toxic community with the sheer greed of their MyTeam system, I personally want nothing to do with it from now on.

Sorry for your loss man. I co-op with a friend every other day every night usually playing Rocket League and the like. If I lost him, man, I know things wouldn't be the same. I'm so sorry man.

 
Had a grandfather unexpectedly pass away on Saturday at 3am. Shitty weekend​. At least my wife and I completed our gaming room. Helps to keep busy and think only positive thoughts.

Still enjoying Outlast 2 way more than the first and I really liked the first.

There are reports out there that NBA Playgrounds is getting it's online component patched in at a later date. I can't remember where I read the story but supposedly it's only 1 v 1 online at launch with 2 v 2 getting patched in later. That's eye raising to me and I'm probably waiting on the game a bit to let things get sorted out.

Yeah I didn't get into too much detail, but correct No online for the Switch at all at launch and the XB1/PS4 will have 1 v 1 online at launch and won't have 2 v 2 online till they patch it in. I'm waiting for the 2 v 2. There is no invite your friends to play with it's matchmaking right now.

Nba 2k17 is a pretty awful game but ive still put 14 days into it and will buy 2k18 day one cause i dont have any other options to feed my basketball addiction

Even if we ignore the insane achievements required to complete them now (you seriously have to be one of the greatest ballers in the world to finish the lists, no joke. Casuals need not apply.), the online community is the absolute worst humanity has to offer. I thought Gears players were arrogant cocksuckers, until I played 2K17 online. The Gears community seemed like a bunch of Mr. Rogers pious saints after I experienced that.

I think the most surprising thing here is a 2 year old CoD getting new DLC. Sales on Infinite Warfare must have been really bad, at least on the DLC front.

Total crap. It sounded cool at first when it was first discussed here, but not what they're offering. I'd pay full retail ($20 in two years ;) ) for a Standalone zombie nightmares campaign and every treyarch zombie map to date.

Yeah I'm leaning more towards just getting the game at $20. I do enjoy single player but if you can get a good group online together that's a lot of fun too.

If that's the case, that was fast and not a good intention of how it sold. Those early animation blunders put a big cloud over I think a fairly good game. I looked at The Division in the Store last night and it had a 18 hour countdown to it last night. I might wait and see what pops up today and decide to pull the trigger on the base game or not.

I quit because, honestly, it's the same game every year. No real difference year to year.

 
Was just listening to the Beast Cast and they were talking about an esports League that Take 2 and the NBA set up together for 2K. They were kinda fuzzy on the details, but it sounds like the best players in the world will be using their created characters to play for and represent real NBA teams

Small issue. One group who would be very unhappy is 2K. They didn't do well on that series at all.

I think it's slightly different because the game was being developed before they even had the license. Is that better or worse? No clue. But it looks spoopy and that's all that matters
