At Limited Run Games our releases truly are limited. Once a game sells out, it will never be available from us again! We believe that as collectors and consumers you should be able to trust when we say our games are limited. They are!
If that doesn't tell you they don't do reprints, I don't know what will

Of all the things we could talk about that LRG would listen too like quantities, limits, batch times, number of releases in a certain window of time, preorders, etc, the one thing people like to focus is is the one thing that is carved in stone.

FFS they are talking about considering trying preorders again after getting burned with Skull Girls and swearing they would never do it again. But noooooo, let's keep beating the ground where there used to be a decaying horse corpse and hope reprints pop out.

Everyone, the simple solution to this pointless discussion is to stop replying to frolow. He's never going to get the point and never going to stop making these reprint suggestions, despite having been thoroughly educated about the issue by multiple people. Don't reply to him which only drags out this inane discussion, and maybe we can get back to talking about what matters in this thread.

Sorry, I'm not one the side that's been exposed multiple times.

Where would we be in physics if Newton rejected gravity instead of accepting it and working around it?

I mean Sharia Law is the rule of the land in certain countries. Doesn't make the stoning of Women and LGBT people right. Saying something is "just the way it is" and shouldn't be changed is such a shit argument.

Its not right. By my USA and Libertarian colored views on individual liberty and social equality, it's atrocious. All I can do is vow to fight it both politically and in taking up arms when that shit comes to my door step.

Cool. What are you going to do about it in the rest of the universe? Do other cultures not have rights to decide how to live?

The sun shouldn't be as hot as it is either come to think of it.

The point I'm stressing is that not once have you simply acknowledged even a possibility that there exist things that will not change.

They have the right. I also have the right to rightfully call them shit.

Because there's no good reason why it can't and shouldn't change.

Change name of thread to Debate Champion Bitch! Bitch! Bitch! thread now?
I'll proudly hold that belt high.

When is the mystery RPG and it's and Y's quantities going to be revealed?

Y's already is going to be crazy like WB and NT.

But it's CE, 2 standard variants, PS4 and Vita, and talk of reducing the print run due to PA...

Then we are adding another RPG on the same date.

Might want to reconsider...

Thank god a mod finally stepped in. :applause:

Y's Origin and an unannounced Japanese game on 8/25.
I had no clue Ys Origin was on this month... luckily, no interest in next week's releases.

EDIT* We still don't know what the YsO CE will be, do we?

And where the hell is S&S?

The developer of S&S is still working on the Vita version, I wouldn't hold your breath for that one.

Looks like they're going to try something new with Ys. Found this when trying to find a tweet related to the release date.

Scalping/reselling, and other off topic discussions are not permitted here in the deals forum. We have a shopping discussions forum if you want to discuss about that.
Search for the world "scalper" in this thread and you will see people rip on resellers 50+ times, so it does not at all surprise me to see a post like yours the moment we defend ourselves. If people took their bitching about Chrisxzwtvrthefk and resellers to "shopping discussions" we wouldn't have this problem.

Really not sure trying something new with one of their biggest releases is a good idea... like always, no real info yet.

Looks like he's promising everyone that wants one gets one.
Interesting. I wonder if they plan on doing some sort of psuedo presale based on this tweet -

Since he mentions the "set" quantities of the CE. So basically anyone who put in an order for the base game gets one?

You can brag about your scalping or argue against it all you want in shopping discussions. Just don't do it here where it does not belong in the first place. You can send me a PM if you want to discuss this further.

The only logical thing I can think of is a "pre sign up" that is input as a correction factor in determining print sizes.  Guarantees you a copy, works like a preorder but isn't a preorder, scalpers can't influence this because historically not even 1% of quantity ends up on eBay (even 100 / 8000 is 1.3%), and "LRG assumes the risk" of overproducing during this "experiment" because of people lying and not committing to buying their copies on release day.

Even if scalpers don't sign up and buy to create real demand that exceeds sign up demand, or a few people bail and don't commit, a few % of over or under is better than being off the mark 50%.

People who said they would buy a copy get 1-5 minute head start to buy and checkout.

If they do it play-Asia style where they send out email links to people who signed up to buy could work.

LRG is getting btfo with extra inventory lately.

Wonder if they're actually selling through stock or just saying they're sold out and holding them for mystery bags later.

If I had the funds I wouldn't mind grabbing a copy of The Bunker and a pc copy of Night Trap since they're still around but if Y's coming in at the end of the month that pretty much will eat the rest of my budget for the month.

Is the bunker worth getting as an investment to sell later like in a year or 2?
If anyone here knew the answer realistically to your question, I doubt any of us would be here in the first place, as predicting the future would be a much more lucrative venture. LOL

You where joking right? As your question falls right in line with what the mod has just stepped in to stop(or at least a variation of it).

I wonder if Ys is going to be the hybrid preorder I suggested where before setting the quantity for sony to manufacture, they sell it like a preorder. The turnaround would be much quicker than a typical preorder and everyone that orders one gets one. Extras then can be sold Black Friday style when stock arrives. Everyone wins.

I mean, that's basically the same idea as the membership, but without the membership fee, so it's definitely looking up if they go this route for the bigger releases. :D

I like that idea, but it seems like we're too close to release to shake things up that much. With only two weeks left you'd think everything would be set as far as quantities go.

Edit: After reading that tweet again, it seems to suggest that only the CE quantities are set while the standard quantities are more flexible. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

it's a joke i forgot to put s/

Here is one I'd like answered but I doubt will be, why are the standard versions of Lawbreakers codes going out when you have people who bought the CE that haven't received them yet?

These guys really needed to get their ducks in a row before ramping up this year but it's pretty obvious they didn't bother.

Here's my guess

Let's say they produced 5,000 copies of Ys already. What I think will happen is that there will be a 24 hour window for sale and the first 5,000 copies will be shipped immediately while everyone else will wait til the next batch comes in.

It's kinda cheating for a reprint status but it makes sense.
