I took French in HS and then again in college. It got to the point where I would sometimes dream in French. I cannot speak it fluently, nor can I "hear" it very well, but I can still read it with a high degree of confidence. And I think I could get by speaking it, I'd just need someone to speak slowly. Because of the 'romance language' thing, I can muddle my way through reading Spanish, but my Spanish pronunciation is shit.

There was some Steam game that was cheap that purported to help you learn a foreign language, including Japanese. Maybe that can hit the 'niche gamers backlog' one month.

And to the person that asked (forgive me, I lost the name/post and to lazy to go back):

1. Zero Escape (VLR>999>ZTD)
2. Danganronpa (DR1>DR2>DR3 anime)
3. Steins;Gate (SG Anime>SG Game)

I should've learned Spanish instead of French when I was in High School. Considering where I live, Spanish would help. Dammit French.
When i was in middle school, French was the only foreign language option(it was not mandatory), so that was what i took. Made perfect sense when i got to high school to stick with French, and it's not like there were any teachers telling me i'd never need it and would be better off with Spanish. I don't regret learning French, though Spanish would have been a lot more practical.

To play a VN I have to understand it....luckily I don't understand Japanese yet or i'd go crazy.
I just pay people to read it to me. I pay extra for wacky voices.

...

Now that I think about the amount of adult content in VNs, I'm starting to think that maybe this joke was a bad idea.

Foreign languages known = Mason English Dialect and Hollywood English Dialect

I picked up a few words of German and Japanese through playing PSO, certainly not enough for a conversation though.

You must know them really well if you needed to let us know twice.

Its so weird since back in my day when i was in school foreign languages were optional.  I do wish I had learned sign language since both my nephew and my coworkers are hearing impaired and it would be nice for them if I could communicate or at least understand them.  It'd be nice if we had auto translating tech already to solve these issues.  then I could import all those jpn tales of games among other things.

Languages seem like they just tie into each other like the more you know the easier it is to learn new ones. I grew up speaking english and spanish and want to learn french next since  a lot of words have some kind of relation to either language. Italian seems like it would be the closest language to spanish though. Unfortunately none of these languages are gonna help me get through any imported games.

I think that's the film, though.
You are correct. I watched the anime and the Deja Vu film in such close succession that I just kinda blended them together.

Revised:

3. Steins;Gate (Deja Vu>SG anime>SG game). The story plays out better as a comedy show than a game seeking player input IMO.

I ordered both versions of Tachyon Project and am looking forward to getting them when they ship. Played the game digitally and really enjoyed it, nice twin stick shooter.

wait.. this plays like Ys? i assumed it was a VN or tactics rpg.
Nope, not a VN at all. Tokyo Xanadu is an action RPG. Really fun, too (got a review code).

Tokyo Xanadu is $30.30 on Amazon right now.

I know it's been discussed... basically Trails of Cold Steel meets Ys. Is the game full of fanservice or pretty kid friendly?
No real fan service...not even during the hot springs scene, lol. I don't know about kid friendly, though. I think there was some mild swearing (damn, hell, that sort of thing).

With BB not in stock and Amazon past the two week period, Walmart still has Collar X Malice for $30.

Thank you for this, been looking for a decent deal on this game and it's disappearing. Also picked up Terraria for $13 - not the best but that's another physical title I've been missing. Not the best price but I never saw the sub $10 clearance prices at my WM.

Much appreciated feedback. I think I'll add Tokyo Xanadu to my want list and see if it drops a little more.

I would hardly call either of those pics nude, as I can barely tell what is actually in each pic, but I added a spoiler tag any way.
Still highly NFSW dude. Plenty of companies like mine have open cubes now (thanks to those "hip" software companies and "reports" of open cubes encourage collaboration and boost productivity, which is a fancy way of saying your boss can monitor you better), so such images would get us in dire trouble. As a safe measure, I never open spoiler tags while browsing CAG at work, so a spoiler tag is much appreciated.

Boost productivity, is that true, or just some BS PR from the higher ups?

If I had to sit and look at my co-workers all day, my productivity would probably go right out the window, as I just don't like any of my past fellow employees that much. LOL But I guess depending on the work being done, communication could be improved, but I still don't care to be that involved with the group.

At my company they had higher cubicle walls which was nice, and then switched to short cubes with a glass between each cube. It sucked for sure and now I don't have any walls and it's all open, which is OK, but mainly just there cause i'm in a temporary space now. I much prefer larger cubicle walls for a bit more privacy, though in the temporary space I still check out my feeds as breaks....I mean can't have no fun right?

Don't get me started, I used to have an office tucked in from the walkway, with heavy sound-proof glass doors that I also put up several silicon wafers at eye level.

Now I can hear the guy beside me sipping coffee.

Point is, NSFW spoiler tags is very important for us, fellow CAGs. Your considerate posting habits are very much appreciated.

My office calls them "team rooms" and they're the absolute worst. I'm <5 ft. from another person at any given time in the day. But I mostly browse CAG on my phone to avoid any potential fuck

Ah yeah I post eroge crap all the time and I make sure to put NSFW on the non-safe stuff. I know one time I clicked a questionable non spoilered pic on these forums and had to immediately clean out my work computer, so I agree wholeheartedly.

It is all BS, the company saves a ton of money by not purchasing cubicle/partition walls and then paying for them to be installed.

Just wait until they decide their employee's don't need access to basic Windows OS programs, such as notepad, and picture viewer... because that's exactly what has recently taken place at the crappy company I work for. Our back room desktops and Windows Tablets no longer allow us access to MS Office, Notepad, any of the photo/picture viewing applications, WordPad, etcetera. Basically anything that was even remotely useful is now administratively blocked from access on all company computers. All that is left we can use is Calculator, Internet Explorer, and Adobe Reader. Register terminals don't even have access to a Windows desktop as they are all running VM environments of Windows 7 Enterprise over a network from a host server, IE auto launches and prompts to login to the company "Employee Tool Kit", which frequently crashes and has been doing so nearly two years, is now restricted to only accessing select of the company websites, and Adobe Flash Player has been disabled.

You mean you don't enjoy being "industry leading like Google" in your office setup without any of the amazing benefits? The previous CEO converted our entire purchasing area into what I now call the snakepit since it's 30 people with no walls. Thankfully he knew better than to try and mess with my corner office.

Do not post nsfw pics here even behind spoilers(images are still loaded by your browser in the background). Members here can be as young as 13 years old. We also do not want to get the whole site flagged by company/school filters since some of us visit CAG at work/school.

Damn, that's to close for comfort. I haven't worked in an office space in awhile, and when I did, the only guy in our whole building who had internet access at the time, was our computer guy. He was always in is office looking at God only knows what, and then when one of us in the warehouse asked to get web access, we where met with "goofing off" will happen, so NO!

Yeah, my bad. I normally use a spoiler tag for videos in general, as I find them to take up to much space, but I honestly didn't see anything in those images I found "bad" or "nsfw"(whatever that means). I have an 11 year old, who I don't allow on any internet enabled devices unsupervised, as I don't want him to see non appropriate things. But I would have shown either one of those pictures to him, as I personally didn't see an issue.

I see 10x more offensive language on here daily(I personally have a much bigger issue with that), than anything I would worry about a 13 year old seeing. But I have noted the issue for future reference.

EDIT: I also see pretty regularly anime images where young girls have HUGE breast & ass barely covered, which I also find personally more offensive, but whatever.

Not to go too off topic but I went ahead and grabbed a copy of Tokyo Xanadu for that deal on Amazon and while there preordered Y's VIII.  Overall not a bad haul for me as I haven't bought a physical vita game since a batch I bought in December.

I honestly think the image is for some kind of cancer or STD awareness campaign and was purposely done to draw attention without really showing much. I don't see anything wrong with the images, but I would hate to see you get in trouble. Best to err on the side of caution.

That $1 tier is awesome. I already have both games from other sales or I would jump on it. Are these individual codes or a group code for everything?
It's one code, which kind of surprised me. Ah well. I have no PS3, so it's only the Vita games for me (and Evolved...I guess). I may have an unopened Asian-English Civ Rev 2 for Vita available.

I don't think I even care about the dollar, but I'm not sure I can be assed to expend the effort it would require to clear up room on my memory card for two Vita games I probably won't play.

Thanks. Did it ever actually pop up for sale on BB? I was occasionally looking it up. For a bit I saw no listing, then recently I noticed a "check stores" listing. I was holding out thinking it was about to come in stock, and missed the 20% off window at Amazon :( This ends up being cheaper tho :)

I love it when Humble Bundle does Consoles bundles. So far they've been great. Even if I don't like the bundle, I make sure to get the $1 tier anyway just to expand my Digital Collection.
