Last year they posted what was going to be on sale the Thursday before Thanksgiving, and then the sale started the next day and ran through Cyber Monday.
I got my email invitation to order a psvr2. It’s just like the ps5 invites they’ve sent out where it’s a unique link per person but is also not a guarantee of availability. I was definitely going to try to order if the price was announced lower, but now I’m on the fence. I keep seeing things that renew my excitement for it. But then I remind myself that psvr1 had both a redesign and price cuts what feels like not a long time after launch. In these crazy days of inflation and the quest 2 actually getting a price INCREASE two years after release, who knows what will happen.
I’m curious to hear what some of you think about the upcoming psvr2 in general and what you think of the asking price
I am intrigued by it, but that asking price is too steep for me to justify. I know my thought process will be to wait for the price to drop. I had the same idea with the PSVR1, but now can't justify that with the new one approaching.
This is the perfect "wish list" item. If someone (wife or kids..they are grown now) want to buy it as a surpirse, fantastic.
You will usually see better deals on "newer" physical copies than digital. That is the downside to digital; you are stuck with whatever Sony decides the price to be. Don't get me wrong, sometimes you can find better deals and do not have to worry about something being out of stock, but phyiscal deals is where to look.
PSVR2 pre-orders are up now with some PS+ pre-order discounts, so here are prices for what's up there. Also will add some games that are getting upgrades that's on sale:
2/22/23 Launch
After The Fall (Free Upgrade) - 45% off right now until 11/19 at 3 AM ET/12 AM PT
I’m really excited for Dark Pictures Switchback, EXCEPT that Until Dawn Rush of Blood made me maybe the most motion sick I’ve ever been. Played 10 min of it and was out of commission for the rest of the night, never to return to the game. My understanding is that the new hardware does a lot to mitigate motion sickness though so I’m hoping this new one doesn’t do that to me. Looking forward to trying a demo of it at least. Won’t plop down the cash for it till I know what it’s going to do to me

About 500 games (including some dlc) on sale total here in EU now (its past midnight), where like 99% have been this price or cheaper before. Ghost of Tsushima DC stands out since its cheapest ever in PSN but thats still 30€ (40€ for cross gen).
Dont see anything worth buying. Think I will save a lot of money this black friday
Safe to assume $30 is the new $20? Meaning... when older 1st party PS4 games got their deepest discount, it was to $20. Ghost of Tsushima Director's is currently $30 at Best Buy. The Nioh Collection as well. Good buy price?
edit: Placed my order. For $119.xx including tax, got a new Black controller, PS5 Nioh Collection, and PS5 Ghosts of Tsushima DC. Can't beat that
Not the biggest TLoU fan, but Part II being $10 digital seems like a good deal. Is that one worth picking up during the sale? Any other recommendations?

If you are a PS4 owner then yes $10 is a good deal.
If you own a PS5 I'd wait. Its 100% gonna have a remaster of TLOU2 next year, some sort of directors cut or whatever, there is no native PS5 version of the game right now. Given the history so far they will also charge $50-70 for the "remaster" and there will be no upgrade options either, who knows if there will even be a save transfer option. They are also adding a massive multiplayer mode to the game.

I agree with you here completely. But that sword cuts both ways. The bolded part is an issue. All the more reason to pick up the game for $10 right now if you have an inkling to own it. I don't like buying old PS4 games right now either but you can't really lose if you buy physical.
Any thoughts on the Pulse 3D headsets? Most likely won't be doing any multiplayer. Thinking about maybe late nights or times where I want good immersion. Are they anything special because of the 3d audio?
i messed with internal equalizer and found no way to make it not sound like horrible muddied piece of crap. regret even giving it a try
i use a sennheiser 6xx for my pc but it wasnt loud enough without buying another amp/dac for my ps5 so i bought the hd 599 for like 95~ with tax when it went on sale on amazon and its been really good with tons of volume to spare
its like 118 on amazon right now and still at a great price
just dont buy it if cord into controller bothers you, also its open back so could disturb family at night if thats an issue
garbage do not buy.
horrible sound

The last content update for AC Valhalla will be out 12/6. New Game + was cancelled, but the new update will have the option to keep your hood up at all times.
+1 here. I needed to replace a set of 598's after a good 5+ years of daily use. Recently purchased a set of 599's on a renewed amazon listing at $65, which shipped directly from the manufacturer. Here's the page in case it comes back in stock.

It’s usually just because you already have to many games. On Xbox I have like 1000 games so the sales always look meh to me, but since I just got my PS5, these sales are looking great.
Dollar General will have a 20% off discount on the multipack $10 card bundles Thanksgiving through the Saturday after (11/24-11/26). So based on the salepaper pic, $30 worth of credit for $24. Looks to be the best deal on PSN credit at the moment, and could sweeten some of these online deals since the Black Friday sale will still be active then.

You might be seeing replies to that effect because oftentimes the DG deals like this are very specific in which denominations are eligible for said discount. For instance, earlier this month, they ran a similar deal for one day only but the only PS cards that qualified were the $50 denomination. That’s why I mentioned the case of the ad showing the multipack of $10 cards, as opposed to Wario64’s tweet that didn’t specify that aspect. And apologies for the delay in responding.
Not sure why but I’m tempted by Valkyrie Elysium with some discounted PS credit and the sale. I really liked the demo (for combat at least). Heard the story is pretty weak though. Any thoughts?

It's more of the same for the entire game. Story is predictable and weak. Dialogue is meh. Combat is fun, but not varied enough to carry the entire game even with the variety of weapons. I'd recommend waiting.
Hey guys I need to renew my PS Plus after not having it for awhile. Is it best to just buy through the PS store?
Any tips/best valueI should be aware of? Haven’t used my PS in a good while.
