Nicalis is finally squatting out 1001 Spikes and that other title for Vita that they've sat on for years. It could happen.
Sure but they are going to be selling these games to customers. A very simple concept of add it to their web site and sell it.

Limited Run is supposed to ship Bird King for free to people that bought a full set of vita games.
They should have figured this out after Meat Boy shipped in 2021. I think the collector's edition shipped in 2022.

I don't care because I'm not a full set collector but I would be pissed if I bought the full set and they promised this game and never delivered it.

I'm very tempted by just the regular edition of Tomba. I just may wait till it comes out and get it on VGP or whatever, since they seem to get some stock. I'm also tempted by the plushies although the pig is the highlight and Tomba himself looks a bit weird.

I added the two cheapest items to my cart to see if I had to start checking out to trigger the sale price. Those were $3 cards each so $6 total in cart. I figured shipping would be $1. LOL wrong - it was $5.50. No sale price triggered either, so the total cart was almost $12.50 after tax. What a deal for four trading cards! Plus you can't combine with a pre-order lol

Why would you figure shipping would only be $1? That's not how calculating shipping works. They'd have to put the cards in either a larger envelope and/or the envelope would be thicker, so first class / ground advantage would around $5-6 depending on where it's getting shipped from and to. That would be the least expensive way to ship.

Guessing they thought it would ship just like a normal letter (which is like, what a 60 cent stamp?)... which I have had eBay sellers ship cheap trading cards to me that way but they always arrive damaged.

I'm a little surprised. I would've thought even one card pack is too heavy for the weight limits. Ah well.

I got the Freakpocalypse game for Switch during the blowout sale. It was supposed to come with a pack of cards for Joking Hazard but they weren't there. Reached out to support and they sent the cards to me after about 3 weeks. I expected them to come in a padded envelope. Nope! Came in a box. Thought the box was empty until I unwrapped the brown shipping paper and the cards fell out. I'm not sure how shipping works on their end, but I think a padded envelope would have been cheaper to ship vs a box.

Exactly. Shipping should not cost more than the item. It was probably 10 cents to manufacture. I've yet to have a problem with ebay cards that way. Sorry you did.

It's not a card pack. It's literally two cards though I added a second SKU so four total cards. The items are from pax so I somewhat doubt they were in packaging.

Ah gotcha. I read it as packs. Yeah, the I see your point. In that case, I'm guessing their system either has flat shipping or a lowest amount option that's used automatically.

There it is. Besides the gallery and two characters selectable from the get-go, is there any difference between this release and the original Xbox release? I assume resolution? I can't find any comparisons.

Besides QoL improvements and rollback netcode, i dont think there is anything else different

I haven't seen anyone talk about QoL improvements though. Has there been character rebalancing, or is it more in the menus, etc.? It's the rebalancing, if any, that would decide whether I get this version (and sell my OG Xbox copy) or not.

There is not going to be any rebalancing on an old game. It's just a port of the neogeo AES game like all the other code mystics neogeo ports. This game is very broken but that is something you just get used to. I love how Pix’n Love Games advertised their physical version, they called this game a "masterpiece", they must not have ever played it before. I like it though, I'll pick up the physical PS4 version.

Menus and minor stuff like that. As well as hitbox location according to the trailer

It's been a while since a Kemco release, hasn't it? I saw that a bunch of PS5 versions of the older games popped up on PSN. I wonder if LRG is brazen enough to print those.

The remake looks so bad, even LRG can't justify overcharging people by that much....
It's not a remake, right? I think the devs have confirmed that. It looks like it's basically just a port - not sure if I'd even call it a remaster at this point. I recall devs have pretty much just acknowledged the goal is to make it available to play on modern platforms, which means no licensed music, apparently. This whole thing screams a cheap/dirty port for a cash grab.

If possible, sticking to the original ones on PS3/XB360 sounds like the optimal way to go.

Reviews are starting to pop-up, and yes you were correct, it's a straight port. As much as I like the option to bring games with me via Switch, I have many fighters on there already. I'll stick with my original Xbox copy of SNK vs Capcom.

A little off topic but do you think it's finally going to get released!? Probably not.

Got an email from Strictly Limited today.

"We’ve worked tirelessly to adapt to a rapidly changing market and demand. Our top priority has been to optimize our production processes and add the necessary resources. We're proud to share that this hard work is already paying off. With the introduction of our new strategy, we’ve secured additional financing from our shareholders. This funding will not only keep our operations running but also allow us to ramp up production.

We understand that this transition period has been frustrating due to the lack of communication and delays. Confidentiality and the complexities of the financing process limited our ability to keep you as informed as we would have liked.

We deeply appreciate your patience and support. We know the most pressing question on your mind is: 'When will the game I pre-ordered be released?"

They then state that Ray'z for PS4 is in production. I didn't order that version of the game.
How about giving me a update on the Switch version of Ray'z Arcade. What's up with Tiny Thor and Steel Empire Chronicles for Switch?
Once I get my two preorders from this company I am never ordering anything from them ever again.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was announced as a remake 2 years ago. Last October, Yoshimi Yasuda said that due to popular demand, it would be a remaster instead of a remake. That timeline doesn’t really make sense, but whatever.

It’s 4K/60 now. They touched up Juliet’s model, as well as the colors and lighting. They added new costumes. Gematsu’s interview with Yasuda spells out some of the other changes: lots of QoL stuff that should make it much more appealing.

But yeah, a lot of these assets definitely are showing their age, and the asking price is difficult to justify. I make bad decisions, though, and I really liked the original, so I’ll give it another shot.

Oh... that makes sense. I was sure this was supposed to be a remake and thought I was crazy for a minute.

I just don't find much in that interview that makes me even remotely excited about RePop. It feels like a cash grab to suggest folks were excited about it ... so they opted to drop really remaking it and just hurrying a port over? The QoL changes also sound immaterial and pointless. The game was never terribly difficult, and the fun was really in the weirdness of the story and the quirky enemies (it has a God Hand feel), anyways.

I'm curious to hear the new music but will not buy the game for that. Oh well, the most interesting part of this port is that there is (allegedly) a new figure coming out. That's the only thing I'm interested in checking out.
