The code you get for creating an account and leaving it in your cart is different from 'upupdowndown10'. This code from the email worked on the game for me. It is only valid for 24 hours after they send it to you. I assume you need to get the email to have it work on your account and that it won't work just putting it in outright, anyway:

"we noticed that you left some great stuff in your cart. To make it worth your while, here's a 10% discount on your entire purchase if you complete your order in the next 24 hours.
Just enter this code: #KonamishopExtra10 at checkout"

I think it took about 6-8 hours to show up.
You couldn't have pointed that out sooner :p

I couldn't get either code to work, said there were items that weren't eligible, I removed dominus and still got the same issue. Shipping cost was pretty nuts for me too. Had vinyls in cart.

Honestly didn't realize Lollipop Chainsaw RePop was already out... very few reviews and seems like it's not a good remaster. Shocking.

I got a physical copy of Lolipop, but if it sucks by the time I get it, i'll just resell it. I still have a PS3 copy around.

Or hit that cancel button... not sure how long that stays on your order. Has anyone actually cancelled a preorder?

Freedom Wars Remastered - Switch/PS5/PS4/Steam
Yeah I didn't see that coming. Hopefully they rebalance the difficulty, because it's made to be played with others, and about halfway through becomes nearly impossible to solo. I tried last year on the Vita and basically hit a difficulty wall where I couldn't progress.

I believe you can cancel an order anytime before they receive the product. I think once a item is ready for shipping you can no longer cancel it.

Meh torn on whether to get my Switch copy of Castlevania from the Konami Store for the red cover or LRG with the Portrait of Ruin Cover. I'm geting a PS5 version with Ecclesia cover regardless. Decisions, decisions, and limited spending money be damn 😅

No doubt.. I'm stuck in same boat - might just get both.. on standard from Konami & one from LRG. I'm also thinking of getting that cool Castlevania Dominus Ultimate Edition for the awesome steelbook and other goodies included.-

As tempted as I am by Dominus Collection, I still have DS copies of all three Castlevania games so I'd mainly be buying for the convenience of having them on tv and of course Haunted Castle / Haunted Castle Revisited.

I bought Anniversary collection physical only to later get it digital when it was $5... so I'm thinking this might be a series I go digital on. I still haven't picked up Advance Collection though it drops to $11.99 every couple months. Also for some reason eshop is showing me a 10% discount on both Advance & Dominus Collections. So between the discount and gold coins I could right now grab the digital versions for less than this single physical collection and not have to wait till 2025. Or I can wait till probably Halloween and there should be another sale on Advance Collection... and grab it then.

These collections barely clock over 1GB of storage which pushes me to digital as well. Which is strange as I am not a big digital purchaser. But it makes more sense to get these Konami collections digital.

Splurged on the switch ultimate edition for a collectors piece. Have the anniversary classic and advance advanced collection sealed. Might get the Konami red version As well. My favorite series besides bioshock so splurging a little.

Going to get the digital versions to play.

Geez.

Shame, wish Doug was still around. Things have not improved since he left and they are interested in doing deals with companies like SEGA instead.
While I would wager Doug was the source of some of the weirder stuff (that I think was a financial waste), I would also wager he was the source of the better weirder stuff, like Shin Chan.

I am hoping someone picks up Coal Town for a Western release, but I'm glad there's a physical Asian version to get.

I bought Rugrats (XSX and NES). LRG sent me a steam code for it 'while I wait'.
Interesting.

I hope the NES cart will be carried someplace else. It might be a good gift for my brother-in-law, but I wasn't paying attention to it during the pre-order window. I might've thought it was only current gen versions at that time.

Grandia PS4 back in stock
wow $66.51, was it always this price??? How much was LRG selling it for back when they were doing preorder?

Looking forward to Soul Reaver Collection and Lunar Collection. I bet both get physical releases with Limited Run Games since they have done a bunch of Ayspr games and worked with Gungho on Grandia HD collection.

I think it’s been over a year since I’ve ordered anything from LRG, but if they’re doing the physicals for the Lunar collection, my streak will be broken.

*sigh* You're probably right. I want the Lunar Collection, but I have the Soul Reaver games on Steam and that's good enough for me.

Is Lunar in collaboration with the guy that holds the rights from Working Designs? If not, he might be kicking himself for not taking the money for SEGA to put the SEGA CD versions on the Genesis Mini 2.

Yeah, they have the potential to do some real fun stuff with this, hopefully it’s not just “oh here’s a steelbook for an extra $30”

Haha epic offered it as a free game of the week already.

It was rather strange. LRG didn't have a PC version of Rugrats for sale, I wouldn't have bought that even if they did, and the email didn't specify which platform the code was for. I had to count the number of characters in the code then determine it was not a valid code length for Xbox, PSN, or eShop.

And I already activated the game on EGS when that was free.

I was thinking we'll get a bundle with the Ghaleon puppet in a CE... and while googling for a picture, I came across this:
https://www.lunar-net.com/merchandise/puppets.php

I had no idea that SSSC was planned for PC... nor that there was a supposed Alex puppet. Would be insane if they somehow made the Alex puppet happen.

Way back in the day I managed to get a copy of the Japanese PC release of Silver Star Story, but I couldn't get it to install. I did copy the videos off the disc since they were higher-quality than the PS1 ones, but it looks like the videos in the new collection look way better.

Regarding Vireland, it's also very likely they did offer him an insultingly low amount. Like, the Genesis Mini had what, 20-30 games on it? Oh wait, the internet exists... 60!? Holy shit. So yeah, and each of those devs were probably offered like a buck or two, adding up to the final price, and also don't forget to count Sega's cut. Multiply that by the number of units made, which was deliberately very limited, and they would indeed have to offer a ridiculously low payment to everyone.

This release, on the other hand, will probably make a sizable payment for Vic and whoever's left at Working Designs. It's also possible this was in the works all along, and they didn't want to tarnish the sales by already giving it out "for free" alongside something else. Or maybe that original offer was what inspired them to make a real re-release now. I'm okay with that turn of events too.
