Some good stuff, a lot of shovelware. Grabbed Laser Lair for Walkabout for $.99. I had never planned to get Demeo Battles, but since I own Demeo, the bundle is $6.99, so I will probably pick that up. Considering Fly, Moon VR Bundle (I own Moon VR Home, so the bundle is a slightly cheaper way to get Player), and maybe Wizard’s Legacy. I need to save some for the upcoming big titles, so I don’t want to spend too much on the sale.

I did just notice that Ember Souls is now in pre-order for $20.99 (16% off), that one looks promising.

The Marvel Powers United revival project has shut down. I should have downloaded the files when I had the chance, but I was too on-the-fence about the morality/legality of it. I don’t condone piracy, but there is no legitimate way to purchase or play the game anymore. Ultimately, there is no reason I should be able to play the game, as I did not purchase it, but people who did should be able to play, at least in offline mode (I understand multiplayer servers cost money).
 
Meta Connect will kick off at 1 pm eastern today. You can watch on the connect website or watch it in VR on Horizon Worlds. Connect keynote with zuck will kick things off with the developer keynote scheduled to start at 2 pm.

I don't know when the price on quest 3 512gb will change. It seems any quest 3 or 3s purchase will come with Batman: Arkham shadow for free starting today through 4/30/25.

Wow. I figured they’d drop the price of the 512 a bit when they phased out the 128, but I didn’t think they’d drop it to the 128’s price. Anyone considering the 256 3S should just scrape together the extra hundred for double the storage, pancake lenses, etc. I bought the 128 at release, but I am way too much of a game hoarder, and can only fit a few big games on it at a time.
 
How do the referrals work? On the Meta page to preorder, it says "Support a creator and earn $30 USD Quest Cash", which I assume refers to Wario64 in this case. Is that different than the credit in the referral thread?

Check here. If you use someone's referral code, you both get $30 meta store credit. You can find plenty CAG's referral codes here if you don't have anyone in mind. I believe anyone with a meta account should have access to referral codes.

Arizona Sunshine is leaving the Meta Quest+ catalog on October 1. If I’m not mistaken, I think this is the first game to actually leave the catalog. Maybe they couldn’t figure out how to prevent people with Quest+ from upgrading to the remake for $10? Maybe the original will be fully delisted when the remake releases next month? Just speculating.
 
Meta has dropped the price on the 512 gb quest 3 to $499. The 128 gb dropped to $429, but is out of stock.
Same price at amazon on the 512 gb

Walmart has 128 gb quest 3 for $429, but only for store pickup. Same price at target, but they're still shipping them. Gamestop has them priced $429/$499, as well.
Best buy is in line with the pricing on both, I finally found a product page for headsets only, without bundling.
These should all come with Batman: Arkham Shadow and a 3 month trial of quest+, but I would check to be sure before buying.

The 128 Quest 3 does not come with Arkham Shadow (or the 3 months of Quest+, I’m pretty sure). The Walmart listing for the 128 is the only one that mentions Arkham Shadow, but I wouldn’t trust it (also, it is currently showing sold by Newegg, rather than Walmart themselves). The 512GB Quest 3 with Arkham Shadow at $500 is a much better deal than the 128GB without at $430*. It is a better deal than 256GB 3S at $400, and I would argue it is even a better deal than the 128GB 3S at $300, though that is a really low price point to get into VR with as capable a headset as it is.

* - I owned a 256GB Q2, and upgraded to a 128GB Q3 at launch because the 512GB was $150. If it had been a $70 difference I would have gone for it. Now the 512GB is the same price I paid for the 128GB. I can only fit a few bigger games at a time on the 128GB (along with several smaller titles). Today, for example, there was an update available for Walkabout Minigolf, which is a relatively small game. After several tries deleting smaller games I was unable to download the update - I actually had to delete Walkabout and redownload it to avoid having to delete a 20-30GB game that I probably wouldn’t be able to download again without going through a similar shuffle. And there are some must-have games coming soon (see Arkham Shadow above) that are sure to be large downloads.

The walmart link shows me a unit that says "sold by walmart"and I see no mention of newegg. Maybe it has different listings if area stores have it in stock.
And Upload VR says "Previously targeting an October release window, Meta revealed that Camouflaj's upcoming Batman: Arkham Shadow is launching on October 22. During its annual Connect conference, Meta also confirmed every new Quest 3 family purchase from today until April 30, 2025, comes bundled with a free copy of the game and a three-month subscription for Meta Quest+." that's from this article. Some of the pages for the 512 gb quest 3 also don't bother to mention Batman or Quest+. So if you're buying any new quest 3, I would ask about this. I strongly agree that the 512 gb is the best deal. It's what I bought at launch last year and I haven't regretted that for a second.


This was at the bottom of the walmart page I get. I think you have every right to expect the game with purchase if this is on the product page.

Yeah, I can’t get it to show me Walmart as the seller. During the announcement they seemed to be saying that it only came with the devices that weren’t being discontinued, but Meta’s site now says that Arkham Shadow does come with the 128 Q3 as well, so I’ll cross out that part.

After reading your link from meta, I guess this is given automatically when someone activates the device. I guess that's how Asgard's Wrath and Quest+ worked with my quest 3 when I got it. My old-ass brain had forgotten all about that.
