F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Pretty disappointed with AWD, got an acceptable AC3 Limited Edition, and it was gutted, just the things in the box, and no statue for $65. On the positive side though, I was able to get $15 credit back, and return for full refund, so the customer service part of it is great, but there is no excuse to not include the biggest part of the limited edition, and not mention it in the description.

No, no, no. You're doing it all wrong. You buy the games, first, even if you're not sure if or don't know when you'll ever get the console. Cheapasshoarders.com

I can see some of us climbing out of homes full of games and going to rehab for hunting more than playing. My great grandkids' grandkids' ancestors shall have an heirloom backlog.
Oh, I know. I buy the games, then end up trading them, while deciding whether or not to get the system.

They give you extra $15 credit in addition to full refund? Am I right?

Come on man you should have known better than that. Going for an acceptable one this late from the game's release is a gamble that doesn't play in favor of being complete. It is a gamble during release month of a game but now I would not even bother with the acceptable one for that much. Also, they were being clearanced for less at Best Buy and converted to preowned at GS and you could have had a better deal there than here.

I missed them at Best Buy, all the BBYs around me were sold out, and managers and the Gamestops kept the extras/ claimed they didnt have anymore. I really want that damn statue though!

Forgive him he is not a true dealseeker :p

Why is only one copy of Deadpool and nothing else gone to shipping yet? Rayman, Fragile Dreams and Mario Kart 7 were all preparing when I went to sleep this morning and all are sitting at not yet shipped now.

PokerBone* you mean?
PokerOne? I barely know her!

Why does poker reply to you and not me?
Because I'm sexy and he knows it.

It was acceptable, what did you expect?

There is already enough confusion without you adding to the mix . I should have a warning label somewhere in my posts that goes "not responsible for my clone's actions"
Ok. I guess I won't ask you where to find your avatar, then.

This is what happens when you lurk...

in your own thread!
I rarely post in here because i rarely buy anything on Amazon Warehouse Deals anymore.. Mainly because i've been spending on other stuff. I got my first "real" job (albeit, retail and part time while i'm still in college, but still i've learned a lot since i started). That was almost a year and a half ago. Since then, i've blown a lot of money on things (as anyone with a steady income living with their parents with no major expenses would, and these things are stuff that will last me a long time and have value to me years to come).

I usually just buy my games brand new and ones i'm really into. There are a few games i've been wanting lately... splinter cell blacklist, The Bureau, possibly Beyond.... and if the price is right maybe a vita or something... but nothing i absolutely can't live without.

I do view AWD daily, though. Never know when penny deals or some other madness will occur

Well the penny deals didn't happen but the craziness on par to that has happened as recent as the $37 360s and $35 vitas along with lot of CEs and LEs for cheap. Good times! BTW, splinter cell blacklist has appeared here for $25 ~ $30 and The Bureau for about the same. Beyond we shall see when it pops up and I am guessing at $35 ~ $41 depending on condition.

I got a Vita 3g/wifi bundle acceptable for $146 - the 10% off coupon a few days ago. It came today in an unmarked box... the Vita looks great, no scratches or anything and boots up to stock... However, no 8gb memory card and the AC cable looks like someone tried to cut it. It still works, but I got $30 credit back to buy a card and cable. Lesson learned to not buy acceptable again, even if the vita looks good.

Anything else I need to check on this vita? Any defects / ways I can see how much it was used by the previous owner?

Newer Plasma's are definitely nice and have come a long way, my roommate has one that hasn't aged well after 5 years (plasma takes some time to spark up if it's cold in the room, he actually uses a space heater directly behind it) but even that one hasn't had an issue of burn-ins and at least still works. Input lag isn't a huge deal for me, I don't play competitively, so I'll definitely consider plasma as well. Didn't really expect a suggestion to my post but whatevs. Bastards are too helpful.

Now if only I can check AWD at the right time to grab a $40ish GTA V...

PS3 (LN ACIII 500GB Bundle $203) I got in by the way was pristine (outside box damage and previously opened, inside box sealed) but I don't know if I lost the 30-Day PS+ voucher when I passed out that night (work until midnight) or if it didn't ship with it. I think I'm missing a user guide too, got the lame paper one but I thought I saw the PS+ voucher and a sturdier manual/guide. I was way too busy setting up a few downloads before I passed out on top of everything.
