F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop that I got for Christmas a couple years ago and the thing's a piece of crap. I had a Vostro before that and didnt like it but that was mostly cause it was 17" and awkward as hell to carry around campus as I had it when I was in undergrad.

Somebody mentioned TV's....Anybody have a good suggestion on a sub $500 TV? Looking for at least 32" but preferably in the 40's. Desperately need to upgrade.

I'd post a deal but there doesnt seem to be much out there right now.
Theres a couple good tvs on AWD Id shoot for something with 120HZ just a suggestion.

DS2U coming through!

Anybody bought a TV through AWD and had good luck with it? I know somebody just mentioned getting one that looked brand new but I'm curious if thats more of an exception than usual. I'm also leaning towards a 39" Insignia at BB for $299 right now if anybody has good experience with those.

I currently have a TCL 32 inch that I bought back in 2011 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LPUWV8/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I've not had a single issue with it since I had it (going on 2 years now). The picture and sound are of good quality but I suppose if you're an audiophile you might want to hook up a sound system to it anyway. TCL is certainly a way to go if you're on a budget looking for a good TV.

I would recommend the former 32LD450 from LG for $300 over that TCL.

It's the best budget HDTV (besides price mistakes) I've used.

As far as TVs go from AWD, hit or miss depending on packaging and handling. I bought my brother one off of here and it was brand new in packaging even though it was listed as good. Only drawback was the box it came in looked like it was mailed around the world as it was taped everywhere. Others have mentioned having luck like one mentioned before and few others have had problems ranging from broken tv to DOA but Amazon CS let them have a new one for the same price. Either way, Amazon CS has your back.

I hear Sony and Samsung are good TVs.
I concur as I own a Samsung that is almost 4 years old and still going strong. Love it! That Sony (Playstation branded) 3d tv is my monitor and love that as well. Sony's Bravia lineup is pretty good as well. Samsung and Sony are both solid brands with solid reputations.

I bought a 65" Vizio M65 series earlier this year (passive 3d, led, smart tv, 240hz, all bells and whistles) for like $1, 432.xx . Despite the tv being delivered by two unprofessional dudes who almost died carrying it in, the TV has been awesome. Use it almost daily, all features work, came with everything including the 4 pairs of glasses, and only had 1 small dent in the back per the description (cosmetic only). I would definately buy a tv from AWD again.

Just got the like new Wii U that was listed for $211.xx and at a glance everything is there. Tablet controller looks flawless. The console has some light scuffing on top but otherwise looks in good condition. I will hook it up a bit later to see how it works.

Also, got the rockband psp that was listed in good condition for $19.xx and it looks brand new. Packaging and contents are all there. The psp was obviously used as the analog stick has some wear but otherwise is in flawless condition. That was a steal for this. Very happy with those 2 so far.

i would get a new one, with black friday coming up. a few posters mention receiving damaged screen with their tv from awd. i only asked because i wanted an opinion on what brand to get, since i am waiting on some sales for tv on black friday.

I'm guessing you didn't lock it in when that had a $102 TIV a week or so ago?

Monitor or cables at this point since I have neither one.

Something for the Wii and something for the PS3.
are you planning to get one from awd, or are you asking so you can get a new one? samsung, dell, lg are pretty good brands for monitors, if you are on a budget viewsonic, asus, acer, will do

AWD since I'm getting a Kindle card whenever it's possible.
do you have a budget range, and what are you using it for tho? like c-zero said if playing games on it are your main purpose, look for input lag. i personally only buy video games off amazon warheouse, and stay away from electronic stuff like tv, tablet, monitor, computer.

that has been my plan but looking at some of the prices right now I may bite sooner. Currently debating 3

1. Samsung 39" DS2U posted

2. Insignia 39" on sale for $299 at BB (where I also have some credit)

3. Element 46" on sale for $399 at Target (I currently have a 26" Element that has lasted for 5 years with no issues at all)

If your gonna play games and you jumping into next gen Id stay away from those 60hz tvs. 120hz and up is what your looking for.

I don't know. $20?

I can get one from Goodwill for $10, but I'd rather have one that works and is returnable.
I'm really cheap, but I'd rather drop 100 on a good monitor than have to even step foot in a Goodwill store. :nottalking: That old, mothbally, goodwill smell turns my stomach the second I enter. Has me feeling sick the rest of the day.

No. Most 120 Hz HDTVs use a type of motion interpolation which adds to the input lag.

If you can stretch your budget a little, this is a gem

Panasonic Tc-P50s60 50-Inch http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00ARAHBIW/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=merchant&ie=UTF8&qid=1381275014&sr=1-1&keywords=panasonic+plasma&condition=used\

Can be had Brand New for just a few bucks more though
Plasma TV's are bad for gaming though arent they? Dont want any burn-ins. This is strictly my gaming TV so I mostly just want a decent size upgrade and better resolution.

Plasma tvs are terrible. As good as the picture is they dont last besides that they get hot as hell.
Thats your experience, My Plasmas will last just fine and have the best picture money can buy, Own 4 high end and have zero burn in, baby them for the first 500 hours and your set.

I work a lot with Dell. They have a lot of problems both on service and quality. So much so I'm recommending other brands over them. Not only that, their business model is pretty crappy.

Also to those that say apple "toys", I'd take a Mac over any Windows machine on the market. I use Windows for work and OS X at home. If I could, I would exclusively use OS X 100% of the time.

Windows 7 was indeed a good OS, both it and OS X blow that turd called Windows 8 out of the water. Windows 8 on a non-touch screen device is convoluted, confusing, and now that MS tries so hard to be Apple they come off as annoying.

Ever see the cartoon where chrome, safari, and Firefox are all fighting and ie has the helmet on eating glue? That's how MS has been as a company to me the past year or two. No one wanted windows 8 without a start button, forced it anyway, now have to advertise they're giving it back. No one wanted that DRM stuff on XBONE, they forced it anyway, THEN claimed it as our fault for "whining".

Lawd have mercy. Y'all done got me goin. I need to go eat.

What the heck do you play games on? You must like hurting your eyes mask-air-raid, your crazy if your using a monitor to play games on for a long amount of time. Its even worse if your playing console games on one.

i stay away from plasma tvs, due to the issue of burn ins
Besides the burn in with picture plasma tvs leak after long amounts of use on them. That alone is a :shame:

So how many Dell Precisions do you have in service right now at your company?

A Dell Inspirion is not the same as a Dell Precison. I hope you know that.

Also how many of your Apple laptops use a Quadro or comparable GPU?

How many of your Apple laptops meet some MIL-Spec certifications?

I can go on and on.

I do CAD work so Apple doesn't offer any laptop I can effectively use for work.

I play more portable consoles than anything. I'm fine with small screens. Just drink a lot of water to prevent some damage. Lots of bathroom breaks. Another reason why I like Viewtiful Joe so much.

Panasonic plasmas..well some of them took the Kuro technology and they look GOOD.

They don't have burn in anymore. Thing of the past. That said they use a lot of energy compared to an LED, and are comparable in price. Personally I prefer LED, but I had a plasma for awhile in college. No joke, the thing would keep my room warm when it wasn't freezing!
