So I happened to find a list of their games that they are giving some good money on, I guess to compete with Gamestop. Here is a copy of the list. I dont know if you have to trade in more than 1 game to get the deal, but thought others would be able to chime in with their experience. Of note is the hot shots golf trade in for PS3 (if you were able to get it from the sears clearance).

which is handled by the same processor (Dealtree) used for the Best Buy program. In this case, though, you can get PayPal payments instead of Best Buy gift cards. The trade-in values and processing methods seem to be exactly the same.

UPDATED: since it keeps getting asked

1. Can I take them to a physical store?
Games need to be mailed in. If you try to do an instore trade from the website it will redirect you to mailing it in.

2. How many days do I have to mail it in?
30 days from initiating the trade. Mail it in ASAP as the processing time until you get your money differs and could be a wait.

3. Are trade in quotes locked in or do they get valued at time of processing?
Get your games in fast enough and you will not have to worry about this. But the majority believe that you are locked in as long as it gets there before the 30 days are up.

4. Do games have to be complete?
Case, Manual, and working game are your only options. So yes, full credit if you have everything. But we are not too sure on how they determine scratches affecting playability (if they physically test the game during processing). Just clean all smudges and fingerprints prior to mailing, and if you have deep scratches it is up to you to chance them saying the game does not work.

5. What happens if they say the game is worth less than trade in quote?
You can either accept their valuation or PAY to have your game shipped back to you.

What condition were those games in? Were they mint, lightly scratched, etc?

I have some games to send in but some of the cases have scratches and a couple other games have scratches on the disc.

All of them are playable and complete so I would think they would get full value.

4 or 5 came in really beat up boxes but I just replace with others I had laying around, other than that the game were in good condition.

Just got confirmation e-mail on my Tekken 6 for the full $30. Time to send in my 6 copies of Little Big Planet.

They received it back on the 17th, if that helps anyone.
 
Just going to chime in that I got my confirmation email today as well, $30 for Assassin's Creed II is a lock. Dropped it off at the post office the 16th, verified today.

I don't think anyone's mentioned sending discs that have some light scratches.

I'm wondering if I should risk it and try.
 
Got verified on LBP GOTY and modern warfare, $360 giftcard incoming package received the 17th. I guess USPS really did lose my other package of LBP still doesnt show deliver on DC. No I only got modern warfare from goozex, the others were from gamestop.
 
I got my verifications today too. Every one was verified at the amount they had them listed for on the site.

So I should be getting a $79 gift card within 7 days. Woo hoo.
 
good to here some positives, i think im going to go for it, still would like to know what the verdict is on discs with some scratches.
 
I also got an email that the The Saboteur that I sent in is verified at $20.00 and I should be receiving a gift card within a week. I don't like there wording after it however,

"NOTE: if a discrepancy in verified values is found within the next 7 days, another copy of this email will be sent to you with updated values."

Yeah. I don't like that 'discrepancy' thing either. That leaves a loophole for them to say 'we re-checked your stuff and are deducting 25-50%'.

The next 7 days or so is going to be as anxious of a period as the 2-5 days waiting for them to receive.

I'll let you know hopefully in a few days how my initial "test" trade goes with them. It is about to be delivered either today or tomorrow.

What is strange, though, is that they had me print USPS labels for my first two trades. The one-game trade was a first-class mail label and the 3-game trade (that I haven't mailed yet) was Parcel Post. Now when I log in to eztradein it shows that I can print a UPS shipping label. So I guess they just changed. The question is, on the 3-game trade do I use the older USPS Parcel Post label or print a new UPS one?

D'oh! OK, earlier when I first saw the "UPS" I panicked a bit thinking I must have dropped off a UPS package at the USPS. But then I found I had actually written the DC number down and when I put it in, it shows that it has been sorted in Baltimore, so it is very close to delivery.

So, has anyone actually had delivery/PayPal payment from eztradein yet?
 
1 of my orders is still just at the accepted phase which is when they scanned it in and gave me the receipt. it was the exact same time that my 2nd package was given to her and that package is through the sorted facility in MD. I'm hoping they just cant scan the barcode or something and it isn't lost in transit or some shia, argh...hopefully it's updated with received in the next few days/should be same time as the other. they were identical.
 
My trade-in to eztradein was delivered today (Friday) as well. And like Pooky there the website still says nothing has changed. Given that they are the same processor (Best Buy and Dealtree/EZTradein) I guess there is some lag in receiving/verifying. But given that I don't think we've seen anyone mention getting paid by EZtrade-in just yet (whereas some Best Buy trades have gone through), I'll keep you posted.

That happens sometimes. I have had several packages in the past that were delivered without ever updating the tracking info online.
 
Has anyone not gotten a pre-paid packing slip from the Best Buy site after entering your trades? I entered 6 games and got my quote, and submitted them, and my account shows them as "waiting to receive". However, I have not gotten email confirmations for them, and when I click on each trade in I only get a "print shipping address" instead of the "print UPS pre-paid shipping label" option. I did this w/ 2 games a few days ago and got the pre-paid label fine but for some reason am not getting it w/ these 6.
 
LBP is back on gamestop.com with guaranteed manual/cover but I don't want to order more til i know for sure this is gonna work for me. Afrika is also online complete...

Sent in 9 BRB to eztradein and just got verified last night for the full amount and I can say that at least 3 of my disks were in mediocre condition at best.
 
I too am a little curious to hear more about the Paypal deal to see if people are getting charged Paypal fees like they would be receiving money from an Ebay auction.

That's what irks me most is that there's no trading in at BB stores, unless it's some piece of electronics and even then you have to have a receipt showing you (over)paid for it at Best Buy to begin with.

What a crock of shit that is. Yeah. I'm gonna trade the laptop/netbook I paid $90 for at Target on clearance for $40 to you jackoffs AND have to mail it in because I didn't buy it from you overpriced assholes.

Imagine if EVERY store taking trades required you to prove you bought the items from them before trading in or you had to do it via mail?
 
sorry to double post in both threads but was wondering to just make sure that the ebay eztradein's shipping label is to best buys? and that isnt an error or anything like that?

But again that requires MAILING it in. I'll admit that I'm a lazy consumer who likes the convenience of just going into a store to trade stuff in(which is why Gamestop is still in biz cuz others are lazy too)versus mailing it in and waiting anxiously to see if the item(s) get the full value or not.

Why can't BB just take in electronics in-store from ANYONE? That was my point. It's fuckin' ridiculous to discriminate on whose electronics they will and won't take based on whether or not someone got it from their store or not.

What is the typical amount of time from when it is delivered that it shows "received"?

USPS shows that it was delivered on 4/19, and as of today (4/24) my account still shows "Waiting to receive".
