So I happened to find a list of their games that they are giving some good money on, I guess to compete with Gamestop. Here is a copy of the list. I dont know if you have to trade in more than 1 game to get the deal, but thought others would be able to chime in with their experience. Of note is the hot shots golf trade in for PS3 (if you were able to get it from the sears clearance).

Added by Io: Note that you can also trade games in using this site:
http://ebay.eztradein.com/ebay/
which is handled by the same processor (Dealtree) used for the Best Buy program. In this case, though, you can get PayPal payments instead of Best Buy gift cards. The trade-in values and processing methods seem to be exactly the same.

-----
I tried looking for the $20 and $30 trade in value games but came up empty, if you want to provide the link so I can add it here, let me know via PM.

UPDATED: since it keeps getting asked

1. Can I take them to a physical store?
Games need to be mailed in. If you try to do an instore trade from the website it will redirect you to mailing it in.

2. How many days do I have to mail it in?
30 days from initiating the trade. Mail it in ASAP as the processing time until you get your money differs and could be a wait.

3. Are trade in quotes locked in or do they get valued at time of processing?
Get your games in fast enough and you will not have to worry about this. But the majority believe that you are locked in as long as it gets there before the 30 days are up.

4. Do games have to be complete?
Case, Manual, and working game are your only options. So yes, full credit if you have everything. But we are not too sure on how they determine scratches affecting playability (if they physically test the game during processing). Just clean all smudges and fingerprints prior to mailing, and if you have deep scratches it is up to you to chance them saying the game does not work.

5. What happens if they say the game is worth less than trade in quote?
You can either accept their valuation or PAY to have your game shipped back to you.

I just got 13 emails from Dealtree saying they sent me my payment. I hope this doesn't mean 13 gift cards in 13 different envelopes, but even if it does, at least they got all my stuff finished. The wait was only a few weeks, but it felt like forever. Now I can go buy the new Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP bundle and finally have all of the current-gen systems. :D

Just for reference, these were my processing dates:
Shipped: June 2
Delivered: June 4
Verified: June 9
Payment Pending: June 16, I think
Payment Shipped: June 18

Yep, I just received 15 emails saying all of my $25 SMB gift cards are on the way. And since I have balls of steel, I am going to try and send in some copies of BLUR if everything works out as planned on Sunday......:booty:

Have fun with that plan... $5 TIV with dealtree. Guess they learned from SMB

Yep, they did learn, and good for them. I also learned a long time ago to lock in prices immediately, so I have 6 copies locked in at $32 a piece.....

Check your multiple emails, the gift card number is listed. If it is the same on all the emails, you should be getting one gift card per shipment.

Ohhh smart. For some reason I didn't even think about that! :)

So? Is the Bestbuy tradein site still working and reliable for games and Eztradein is not?

Even though they are run by same company.

Good call. All my emails had the same number, so it looks like I'll only be getting one gift card.

When were those locked in?

Got a few emails earlier saying my BB giftcards are on the way. Each email had the card#, but too bad you need the security code to use them. So, no early shopping for me :(
hopefully they'll be processing the paypal payments soon.
^^^ This... I got nothing from them today... They are still silent on the "dead zone" packages. Once I get paid for my last set that did get verified, I'm going to be more aggressive about the missing ones.

Meanwhile today I got 4 payments from Gazelle for stuff they verified on the 14th (and I mailed between the 7th and 9th).

Yesterday.....the price dropped like a rock since then.....

they both pretty much suck as hard
They owe me 1250. Needless to say, I'm getting impatient.
That's crazy. They only owe me $30. Good thing GS takes a while to get the games to you or I would of had more missing games.
28th-1st is lost package weekend. sorry lolwut...
Wtf does that mean.
You need to call/email now.
I e-mailed them through their support site, though I don't know what number to call about this.

Edit: Yeah, seems I got the same BS e-mail you guys were getting. I'll give it until like Tuesday next week before launching a full out assault.
Thank you for contacting us. Due to our recent promotions for video game trade-in, our processing facility is receiving a significantly higher volume of games. This is causing a slight delay, which we sincerely apologize for. The games will be verified within 3-5 business day. Payment will be issued according to the normal processing time (7 days from date of verification.)

Thank you,
Asher
LOL I guess this will teach me to get verified for Paypal and to stop dragging my damn feet on it.

I went into the downtown Bank Of America office to inquire about what type of fee(if any) they would take from each check.

Six dollars of each check would be lost to fees if I didn't have a BOA account, which I didn't before today. LOL

I signed up for a biz checking account and deposited the $160 into it.

Otherwise, I would've lost $48 out of $160 just to cash the eight mfing checks.

Personally, I thought EZTradein was going to send two check($100 & $60) but I was wrong on that.

Oh well. If their biz accounts are better than my current checking at my usual bank I'll keep this account and stop using my old one, which has no minimum balance.

Sent in an e-mail inquiring about the 20 monkey balls I sent. They were verified on the 9th, and it's almost been 10 days now.

Got a reply today, that said payment will be processed in two business days.
Wtf does that mean.

By "28th-1st is lost package weekend. sorry lolwut...", she meant your packages arrived during the "dead zone" where they seem to have not processed them (May 28- Jun 1). A lot of us have stuff from that time period that has not been verified.

I've actually gotten slightly different responses over the last few weeks.

My first response was on June 4th after I asked why my May 28th package didn't get verified yet stuff that arrived on June 2nd did:

Our video game trade-in process is currently delayed, and we are working to bring it up to date as quickly as possible. We have requested that this item be looked into and verified immediately. Please reply to this e-mail if you do not receive a status update within three business days, and we will further investigate the matter. Thank you for your patience and we sincerely apologize for this delay.

So I waited until the following week and responded to that email like they asked. I got this on June 9th:

Thank you for contacting us. We have requested that this trade-in item to be looked into and verified. We apologize on the delay. We will further investigate the matter and contact you back. Thank you for your patience.

Then I gave them several more days and contacted them yet again. Then I got this response on the 15th, which matches what everyone else has been getting:

Thank you for contacting us. Due to our recent promotions for video game trade-in, our processing facility is receiving a significantly higher volume of games. This is causing a slight delay, which we sincerely apologize for. The games will be verified within 1-3 business days. Payment will be issued according to the normal processing time (7 days from date of verification)

Well, it has been 3 business days and nothing... Meanwhile I had a package I mailed on June 10th get verified on June 17th, so this whole "slight delay" thing is just not right - they clearly had some sort of problem with the packages received May 28 - June 1st. They either misplaced them, or they got stolen, or something. But they don't seem willing to fess up about what happened, or they really don't know, and are just stalling...
got 4 payment processed emails today. and locked in 3 each for 32.50 of that game...
When did those get verified?

Don't worry about it.

Not unless your email went like this.

"Hey guys, can you give me the status on my box? I'd like it verified, I kinda sent in 20 copies of one game and I'd like to know if it's not going to be rejected because of the limit you guys put on."

Correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't had a lot of time to check this thread lately. They recently sent out BBY giftcards but have not done any Paypal payments. Does anyone know what was the last time they did a paypal payment? It's been 9 days for me since verification and no payment still.

I noticed that 3 people have had Asher from Dealtree answer their questions, when I asked a question it was also Asher. I guess they only have 1 employee who answers their chat.

Yeah, I've mentioned it several times. I'm pretty sure the last payments were made on June 8th. I've asked multiple times if anyone has gotten anything since then and I'm guessing by the lack of response that that was the last time. They do tend to pay things out in big chunks, so hopefully we're due here soon. I'd imagine this will be a pretty big payout, though, as it includes most of the submissions people rushed in when the policy change was announced.

I didn't sweat it for the first week, but now, 10 days out, I am getting a bit worried.

I wouldn't hold your breathe considering gamersfactory can't even ebay the game for $12.99. That obviously means they know they lost big time and the lack of payment is no surprise. Its ridiculous how many games people submitted and that is just the ones that admitted it in this thread. If they don't have money, don't expect paypal.

I hope you guys get your money but i wouldn't be surprised if it was a very long wait.

Well, you're talking about Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll, right? Only a small number of my submissions were for that. If they paid the other stuff and held off on those for a bit that would be fine with me. I sent in a wide variety of things though. My two "missing" ones (that got there during the dead zone) aren't for anything that was particularly flippable and are ones they could actually make some money off of.

I wonder if they have a clause in their t&cs so they can just return everyone's SMBs that was > 3.

I only sent in 5 so 2 back won't kill me.

I'm thinking all payments are held up regardless of what games the customer traded in. This trade-in offer they ran just really hit them unexpectedly.

I saw a Super Monkey Ball auction for $12.99 at a quantity of 10. They only sold one. I think they are going to do their best to fulfill their open payments but have to wait for more sales first. The good news is that they have 669 open listings at this moment on ebay so they aren't exactly a small dealer

They have some pretty cheap prices on games. I'm gonna see if I can buy something from them and then flip it right back to them for more than I paid.
They have some pretty cheap prices on games. I'm gonna see if I can buy something from them and then flip it right back to them for more than I paid.
Im confused. I know Dealtree USES gamer factory as a processing center... but I thought Gamers Factory was a completely separate entity for selling purposes. They have their own website w/ TIVs... they also only pay full shipping for your first order (and partial shipping refunds for trades after your first, which sucks). Are they actually contracted to SELL the games received by Dealtree?

My SMB order just went to paid (I got BB GCs, though). It went to completed order yesterday. I figure I'll get a card next week. Yay! That was the last one for these losers... until they screw up again.
Just received a payment today. It's almost over.
A PayPal payment? I didn't get anything...

Aw ... Estebon is temporarily banned?! Why do bad things happen to such good people .... ;)

At least he has those 18 copies of Blur to trade in here ... oh wait ... limit of 3 ... damn ... like I said, bad things good people ... what can you do

I'd be happy just to hear that my giftcard (a singular, $25 card) was sent out. They verified on the 14th but I guess it takes a couple weeks to mail? Guess its not as bad as all you poor paypal'ers :(

I got verified and the payment (BB gc) was sent a week later, so you should expect an email soon. Haven't gotten my gc yet though.

Had my last two orders verified on 6/18, but I have over $500 worth of stuff that has been verified since 6/10 and has not been paid out yet. I'm hoping that by the end of this week or beginning of next week they will have scrounged the cash together.
