Gamezebo review:

"Season Match 2 surpasses the original in overall production values. It also tells the story nicely in bite-size pieces. It may take a few levels of play before the story comes together, but it does and blends well with all the action in the game. Season Match 2 may not challenge every match three fan, but its variety and charming scenes could capture their attention. Those new to the match three will find this one worth trying and might open themselves to a whole genre."

Pros: Many mini-games (no two are the same). Strong story. Snappy sound effects.

Cons: Funky English. Easy most of the time. Pointless coins. More clicks than needed.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Today's Big Fish $2.99 Game Of The Day is:

Fishdom - Very popular match-3 game with aquarium building and fish raising.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Fishdom is well-implemented and easy to play. While it won't give you the same level of challenge (and combo rewards) as Bejeweled, it's a cute tile matching game for non-competitive casual gamers who want a title to play in short spurts. If you're looking for a screen saver and enjoy decorating tanks for simulated fish, then it's even better."

Pros: Good music and relaxing atmosphere. Good pacing. Tanks are customizable. Game doubles as a screen saver.

Cons: Not original. Limited power-ups and combos. Moderate challenge.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - Player rating: 4 out of 5 starts

I picked this game up when it went on sale a few months ago. It is now one of my favorites and I highly recommend it.

Mushroom Age - Travel to the prehistoric past and space age future in this different hidden object game!

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Mushroom Age hardly sounds like a puzzle and hidden object game. Don't let it throw you, and get ready for a big surprise. Meet the latest wonderful addition to the genre that involves more than finding objects. It blows away many of these games as it lasts much longer than other titles infamous for their short length. Furthermore, the lack of a clock takes away pressure so you can relish the experience."

Pros: Intriguing story. Long-lasting. Much more than a hidden object game. Humorous.

Cons: Couple of bugs and confusing parts. Wasted hints. No replayability.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

There is no review of this game on Gamezebo, or anywhere else I can find. I would definitely recommend trying the trial version first on this one...

Here is one player's review on Big Fish's forums:

"This game was surprisingly involving. You've not only got to stack the falling pieces but you've got to drop little creatures on the correct colours so that they will eat them away. I've played Tetris and similar games but this is a lot more fun. If you like Tetris and small marine creatures do your part to keep the ocean floor clean by giving Feeders a try."

Gamezebo review:

"Bob the Builder represents one of the more educational and constructive properties in modern kiddy pop culture. Not only are his books and television shows instructive, they also contain important themes such as conservationism and gender equality. Hence, the reason why I was willing to let my three-year-old daughter have at Bob’s latest interactive adventure: Bob the Builder: Can Do Zoo, from Brighter Minds and Diner Dash and Jojo's Fashion Show creator Gamelab.

Simply put, kids aged 2 to 4 years will have a blast — all the more so if they happen to be acolytes of the one Bob."

Pros: Bright, bold graphics. Simple, on-command instructions. Suitable for young children.

Cons: Too basic for older children, even on harder difficulty settings.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Even the most well-worn of genres can seem new again in the right hands, and Deep Blue Sea is solid proof of that. A debut title from The Game Equation (a studio founded by two of the programmers who worked on Eidos Interactive's Hitman), Deep Blue Sea takes the match-three formula made popular by Bejeweled and its ilk and makes it its own thanks to the right balance of clever power-ups, challenging levels, and good production values."

Pros: Robust power-up system. Multiple goals in every level. Matching has a purpose. 130 levels.

Cons: Occasional typos (missing apostrophes). Aside from chains, no other obstacles to overcome.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Brain games have been a hot little number in the video games industry for a couple of years, drawing in baby boomers and seniors. Brain Challenge does a decent job of working your brain out. Those who've played brain games on the Nintendo DS and elsewhere won't find anything new - just different. Anyone can play these games and practicing improves your test score, but I can't guarantee you'll get smarter."

Pros: Variety of training and games. Suitable for the entire family.

Cons: Maddening characters. Loud with no volume control. Carpal tunnel game.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Holiday Bonus - Match 3 game with a Christmas theme. Backgrounds can be used as wallpaper on your PC!

Use Coupon Code: BONUS299

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

There is no Gamezebo review of this game, however I have played it.

Holiday Bonus is a fairly generic Match 3 game with no story or anything like that. Gameplay is similar to Big Kahuna Reef. But the game has a nice Christmas theme with good graphics and sound. Playing it is relaxing and will put you in the holiday spirit. There are only 50 levels, but I doubt you will play it past tomorrow, so that is enough until you replay them next Christmas!

That's nice. A bit o' holiday cheer. There weren't many Christmas games released this season, so it is nice they tossed an older one into this sale at least.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Gamezebo review:

"Everyone knows that the holidays are a magical time of year. And what better way to celebrate them than with Holly: A Christmas Tale, an interactive scavenger hunt that sees you helping save Santa and his elves' jolly behinds? Just be sure the entire family is gathered around the PC before attempting to tackle the adventure... stunningly depicted and atmospherically charming as the quest is, it's bound to give solo players the gift of extreme aggravation."

Pros: Stunning sound and visuals. Variety of challenges. Catchy storyline. Radiates holiday charm.

Cons: Bizarre leaps of logic. Some objects impossible to spot. Limited locations to explore. Starts hard and only gets more difficult.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"A fun-filled way to begin the holiday season, Christmasville features attractive visuals and snappy music. It provides an enjoyable mix of hidden object puzzle types and more mini-game varieties then much of the competition. The story and characters are a bit on the silly side, but it flows well. And, with 20 stages of play and multiple levels per stage (around 80 levels in total), there is a fair bit of play in store - about three hours sans the dialogue."

Pros: Attractive presentation. Pleasant mix of puzzle types and mini-games. Holiday themed.

Cons: Excessive dialogue. Too-easy puzzles with no difficulty adjustment.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

I could not find any reviews anywhere for this game. Some sites called it The World Of Teddy Ruxpin: Gobs Of Fobs. Some referred to it as a puzzle game, others as a strategy game, and some called it an action game. From the video on Big Fish, it is a timed Match 3 puzzle game, but not in the Bejeweled mode at all. The music and sound effects are straight from Teddy Ruxpin....meaning it will be annoying to anyone over the age of 5. Probably fun for the kiddies. Hopefully, we will see something good for the adults tomorrow.

Gamezebo review:

"The name Aquitania, at first glance, sounds like an underwater adventure. It's actually a Roman division in the southwest part of Gaul. The game indeed radiates ancient Rome much like Awem Studio's previous hit, Cradle of Rome. Despite quickly turning frenzied and missing an introduction to the story, Aquitania's match-three gameplay entertains. "

Pros: Original features. Challenging game.

Cons: Goes from zero to insane too fast. Disjointed story.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

I could not find any reviews of this game. Looks like a cute family game. 3 difficulty levels. I have no idea if it is any good or not.

Gamezebo review:

"Cafe Mahjonngg is a very fun, attractive and recommended mah jong game - especially for novice players and coffee lovers alike. "

Pros: Great game concept. Two distinct modes. Attractive graphics and sound. Can import personal photo backgrounds and make puzzles.

Cons: Not very challenging. Hard to create puzzles. Some confusing tile pairs.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

There is no Gamezebo review of this game. However, I have played it and can say it is a very good Zuma or Luxor clone. Great graphics, fun tournament mode. Player reviews on Reflexive are almost all 5 star. The only 2 reviews that didn't give it top marks simply complained it was like Zuma, which is a good thing to me. On Cnet, average user review is 4.5 stars. Butterfly Escape is a game worth checking out in my opinion.

Today's Big Fish $2.99 Game Of The Day is:

Nanny Mania - Time management game where you are a nanny for the town's mayor. 150 levels.

Use Coupon Code: NANNY299

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Nanny Mania is a great concept but could have benefited from being fleshed out a little bit more. As it stands, the game gets repetitive quickly. Once the first child reaches her pre-teen years, all of the different chores have been introduced into the game and there's nothing new to look forward to except grinding through the rest of the levels as all the kids grow up."

Pros: Nice graphics and animations. Cool Sims-like top-down perspective of the house. Potential for expansion packs and add-ons.

Cons: Becomes repetitive quickly. Not enough variety. Second and third characters do not add much.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

I have a few questions, I did buy Brain Challenge (b/c the cd box version has a restriction of 5 installs only!) from Bigfish (thanks to the 2.99 deal here, THANK YOU!

1) Do you REALLY need to have the game manager still installed to play? Amazon's game download said the same thing, but it works fine w/o it once the game is installed.

2) Since once you buy a game, you only get an exe LINK ONLY to download the game, not the full exe file of the game, what happens if the business should go bankrupt? would we be out of luck???

3) If out of luck, does it install all in that one folder when it installs for the PC version? Can you just save that?

4)I see a link on the game manager to gift the game. Does that mean paying again or giving your link exe to someone else & not being able to play that copy again?

I'm hesitant to buy more because of this. Though the thread with the free games was great as well as this one & RetailMeNot.com is also a great coupon site (still has a valid 99 cent code for "Unwell Mel" & others). At least being able to download again is great if your HD dies, have to mirror your HD cause old one is full or upgraded your Win OS (damn Gameloft's 5 install restriction).

Thank you in advance, I did look at the help/FAQ & couldn't find the answers. I didn't want to ask the company since not sure if those questions would raise red flags. I just am being practical & know most businesses don't last 5-10+ years, especially online services types.

1. I think you do need the game manager for Big Fish games.

2. Big Fish is extremely successful. Probably #1 in the business. I don't think you need to worry about them going out of business any time soon.

3. The game manager installs the full game on your PC into its own folder.

4. You can buy the game again and send it to a friend. However, you can install the game on all of your PCs. More than 5 installs. You can always log into Big Fish and redownload your games anytime you want and on any PCs you want. Whenever I have gotten a new computer, I just login to Big Fish and I can easily reinstall all the games onto the new PC.

If you are really worried about any of these companies going under, most if not all offer to sell you the game on a CD as well so you can archive it. It costs extra, but it is like an insurance policy.

Gamezebo review:

"The game show format and hidden object gameplay work well together, and the fact that a "studio audience" cheers every time you click on a correct item, and groans whenever you click in the wrong place is a particularly nice touch. Many people will appreciate the game's hefty length (up to 15 hours according to the developer), but with limited variety and a bland host, the game can start to seem like a grind. The Hidden Object Show is a solid seek-and-find game, just one that left us wanting a little more - in spite of its length."

Pros: Game show format works well. Mini-games add variety. Entertaining crowd noise. Get your money's worth in terms of length.

Cons: Can start to feel like a grind. Some items too far off-screen. Certain mini-games need more polish.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Today's Big Fish $2.99 Game Of The Day is:

The Race - A hidden object game with a reality show format. Travel around the world against 5 other teams.

Use Coupon Code: RACE299

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"If you're a hidden object fan who wants something slightly different than the usual haunted house theme, The Race is a cool game to check out. It's on the simple side, so don't expect to be blown away by the challenge. Rather, easy going (and not easily frustrated) players will just enjoy it for what it is, which is a light hearted and low-pressure hidden object hunt around the globe. "

Pros: Lots of interesting scenes. Good voice-overs. Exciting “reality show” theme. Clever use of cursor “tools” for the hint system.

Cons: Many objects unclear. Liberal amount of hint tools make it fairly easy to beat.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
