WE DO NOT HAVE PDFS OF THE COUPON PRINTING COUPONS, THE COUPONS ARE INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED

Please keep trade and other off topic chatter to a minimum. It is healthy and unless it gets out of hand or really off topic or in a direction that is heading towards fraud or illegal actions, please do not worry.

The Disney Movie Rewards site has changed, the coupon printing is now associated with your account, printing 2 times per account is now the limit, as well as per computer. This was tested at the end of the Toy Story craze a few months back. If you have a girlfriend with an account or a brother or sister, see if you can have their extra coupons if you need them.

So here are the coupons:
That was cut & pasted from slickdeals; I should have quote tagged it. Sorry.

I went to an Atlanta store and it worked for me. There was a cardboard display that had newer :br:'s marked down and tagged as $12.99 (which is interestingly about 40% regular prices) and I think the "e-coupon" is supposed to be the same thing but it's being doubly applied in their system. It worked on everything I tried except Pandorum.
Thanks for the info! Did they have to manually apply the 40% on the $12.99 price or was it automatic once they scan your Reward Zone card?

this is what my receipt looked like
Thanks for posting this...really helped out a lot! :)

According to SD, TRU has another 2 deals with no coupon required.

FYI - TRU has the following deals on other Blu Ray's that are worth mentioning!

A Bug's life - Price: $29.99 - $10.00 instant discount (no coupon needed) = $19.99 before applying Beauty and The Beast coupon.

Monster's Inc. - Price $34.99 - $10.00 instant discount (no coupon needed) = $24.99 before applying Beauty and The Beast coupon.

Mine went through automatically, I think- unless my cashier was a manager and overrode it himself. I didn't have to wait on a manger anyway.
So you really get no benefit in pre-ordering Tinkerbell and B&tB at the same time, correct?

Also if I pre-order B&tB and than buy Alice and James all on the same receipt will I get the $10.00 off B&tB pre-order bonus to apply to both movies? Meaning I could get $10.00 off of each, or do I have to do two B&tB pre-orders at the same time?

B&tB Pre-order=$5.00
Alice Purchase=$35.00
James Purchase=$30.00

$70.00 Total

Then for the discounts

$10.00 James Coupon
$8.00 for buying James & Alice together
$10.00 B&tB Promo
$10.00 B&tB Promo

$38.00 Savings

So my total would be $32.00 plus tax for Alice and james plus my $5.00 pre-order for B&tB?
no, the promo will only apply once.
Did they discounted $10 by mistake?
no i pre ordered 2 by accident.
any1 know if I have 2 BatB preorders, I get 2x 10 of one item?

Example:

29.99 JaGP
5 BatB
5 BatB
-10 preorder
-10 preorder
-10 coupon

= 9.99
see above

It seems they've had those running for a while then, because I got A Bugs Life for that price a few weeks ago, but I thought those prices expired on 7/24. If those two are still running, then there is a chance that the Cars blu for $14.99, before any coupons, from the same time period is still running. It's worth checking out if anyone wanted Cars.

I got James and the Giant Peace with Alice. Unfortunately, the 10.00 deal from the preorder went to Alice instead. =( Can they modify the refund so I get to keep the 10.00 for James and the Giant Peach?

No (at least not with a work around). I tried to avoid that by having the cashier scan James and the preorder first, but it just takes $10 off the most expensive one.

I had to return them, then go back and repurchase them with 2 preorders. I tried to be nice and explain to the guy what I was doing when he came back the second time, but he wanted to argue with me about how the coupons work. He still rung me out though.

Planning to go back to another TRU tomorrow to return Alice.

In case anyone didn't catch that, you have to get 2 Beauty and the Beast pre-orders to get the Alice in Wonderland deal to stack!
Did you need to reprint your James and the Giant Peach coupon?
I had already printed my two copies and had them with me. Dunno if I could've re-used the one I had the first time; the guy was going to open up the drawer or whatever that he put it in but I told him he didn't have to and gave him my second.

Thanks! I will try it again and hope for the best. :)

Well, looks like I'm in business? Originally spent 46 bucks, got a 34.00 refund. I still have my preorder for Beauty and the Beast and got James and the Giant Peach for 12.XX.

Just got back from TRU and bought A Bugs Life (19.99) and Cars (14.99), I used my two DVD to Blu coupons for each and only spent $21.08 for both. GOODTIMES!!!

BatB preorder was 10 off 19.99 or more. Did you try to sneak 1 or 2 BatB preorders in there and it didn't fly?

Edit: Any ideas when those prices will last or how long has it lasted?

TRU has Cars for 14.99 right now???
I got Cars for that price a while back and the BatB preorder coupon will definitely work if the cashier scans it.
So you can confirm that Cars will scan at 14.99 and we'll be able to get it for 9.99? Since I don't have an upgrade coupon I don't want to waste my time if I need one to get a good price. I don't have A Bug's Life or an $8 coupon for that one either!

I am always amazed at how people think they are saving money at TRU when the they do a preorder. You are still spending the $5 and then just getting the $5 dollars off another movie, but you STILL spend that money.
TRU has Cars for 14.99 right now???
Yes it is $10 off throughout August. They had signs on the Bluray that only say $5 off, but a sign on a display does say it is suppose to be $10 off. I had them check and it did ring up at the right price.

eh? That's not the way the pre-order works. You put $5 down and you get $10 off a movie purchased that day. The net savings IS $5. So if the movie is 15, you put down a $5 deposit making it $20. Then you get the $10 discount for doing the pre-order. Meaning you leave the store with Cars sold at 9.99 + tax. You also get $5 off beauty and the beast if you decide to pick it up.

I can confirm that the register will allow the discount. But the cashier could possibly deny to give it to you based on the fact that it's below $19.99.

But you're not getting $5 off of BATB when it comes out, because you already paid $5 on it when you put down the preorder. say for example the movie is $19.99 when it comes out, and you already put down $5, that means you owe $14.99 when it comes in. you still bought it for $19.99.

Simple math....

Pay $5 to save an instant $10 for a +$5 profit, bottom line. Now if you want to buy BatB, you will have saved $10. You're counting the $5 fee twice. Once you purchase BatB, you are still spending $19.99, but that just means you now saved $10 on your purchase where you preordered it.

I agree. The fact of the matter is, you either save $5 if you don't redeem your pre-order or you save $10 if you buy the movie.

Let me explain this to you. You put $5 down now and get $10 off a movie purchased at the same time. Lets say for the sake of argument that you're going to buy Cars for $14.99. Now, you have no desire to buy Beauty and the Beast. Do you pre-order it? The answer is "HELL YEAH!". Why? Because you don't have to claim your pre-order. Here's the way it works:

$14.99
+5.00 pre-order
= 19.99
-10.00 discount for doing the pre-order
=9.99

As you can see, you're saving $5 for doing the pre-order. It doesn't matter if you have no intention of claiming that $5 back, you should still pre-order the movie. In fact, you should pre-order it every time you buy a Disney movie from TRU since it's basically the store giving you $5 off the movie. Later, if you plan on buying BaTB, you'll get another $5 off (your money "back").

Think about it, while the receipt says you're putting down $5, it's reducing your movie cost by $10. That means what's really happening in terms of a cash flow accounting is you're getting $5 off now and $5 off later (regardless of what the receipt says) or you'll be getting only $5 off now if you don't plan on getting BaTB (there's also the possibility that you pre-ordered a bunch of them to save multiple times).

You know what's a REALLY good deal? Tinker Bell 3. Think about it, you will be able to pre-order Beauty and The Beast. That's a net decrease of $5 off the immediate purchase price. You will probably be able to use a $10 off coupon. In addition, if you pre-order it, you'll get a $10 gift card when you buy it. I'm thinking about pre-ordering it twice because of this deal. So you pay $10 now for the pre-order then when it's released, as long as it's not more than $25, you won't pay anything at that time, in fact, you'll get a gift card with the movie! Again (and this will probably be hard for some of you guys to wrap your heads around), you will be paying nothing. In fact, they're paying YOU to pre-order it.

Think about it. $10 down up front. Later, you get your $10 deposit back. Also when you buy it, in addition to getting back your deposit, you get a $10 gift card! They're giving YOU a gift card for $10 to pre-order the movie! Add to that, the inevitible coupon for $10 off and the $5 beauty and the Beast discount and it's going to be one hell of a deal.

Worst case scenario, they make Tinkerbell 3 too expensive to be a good deal (unlikely) and you just get a refund of your deposit.

I ended up paying $5.19 out of pocket after taxes today for a B&tB pre-order and a copy of J&tGP after the pre-order bonus from B&tB , the $10.00 coupon, and I had a $10.00 rewards coupon that I had. I was going to get a copy of Alice to go with it and pre-order another copy of B&tB to kick in another $10.00 off bonus plus the $8.00 off bonus for buying them both together but that movie does not interest me at all.

so used the pre-order bonus to save the money, then return the preorder. either way if you pick it up at tru, you will be spending the same amount. i'm pretty sure we all understand that. its about bringing the price of the now movie down, $10. which, i can attest, is well worth it.

Got myself whipped up in a tizzy for nothing. I saw my Up Preorder card hanging up on the fridge and realized I actually bought Up at Target. I called them to ask how I can get a refund on my deposit and they said you cannot past 90 days. I was about to be upset and then she mentioned I got 5.00 off of the Snow White purchase for preordering. So, it's a wash, and I'll leave it be.

But still. Very shady they have NO way of refunding your preorder deposit past the normal return period. The lady I was speaking to also could not for the life of her understand the difference between having 90 days to return a product I purchased versus only having 90 days to claim a deposit back when all the deposit is being used for is to hold a Blu-Ray for me. No actual, tangible product was ever sold to me. And she just did not get it.

Man what a bitch. But I just hung up after she told me about the 5 dollar discount and I looked at my receipt to verify.

I went to the local TRU today to try to pick this up, and in the movie section there were signs saying to ask an employee if you want a blu-ray. No worries, I go to customer service and ask about blu-rays. I get blanks stares and finally someone says maybe try electronics. So I do, and they have some locked in the case, but only maybe 15-20 different movies and not James and the Giant Peach, so I ask the guy at the desk. He tells me that all the blu-rays are out on the shelf and that only back stock is in his section, but he was pretty sure the movie was not out yet anyway.
WHAT THE HELL TRU?

Could you go and buy Up with your preorder and then return it? I remember when I worked at TRU (granted 10 years ago) we would hold things over a year for people who had preordered. And there is no mention on any of the cards that states you have any time limit on picking up your movie. If nothing else it would be interesting to see what happened when you tried. Legally speaking you do own 1/5 or so of one of their copies of Up.

Don't you see that if you don't pick-up the preorder you are wasting $5? because if you don't pick-up the BATB preorder in your example you end up still paying the $14.99 for the movie.

Why the fuck are you guys arguing over this. If you don't plan to pick up your pre-order and keep it anyways, you're retarded. Same goes for if you buy a Disney movie without doing the BatB pre-order.

Either cancel the pre-order and get your $5 back, or save it if you intend to buy the pre-ordered movie.

Outcast. You can't be this silly.

If I can give 5.00 to save 10.00, I'm doing that all day long. Maybe you're hung up on the fact you're paying 5.00? Well, 10.00>5.00 And BEST of all, that 5.00 is actually an investment toward Beauty and the Beast! Holy shit, if I am planning on buying Beauty and the Beast at TRU, that's so fucking money right there! It's not even 5.00-->10.00, it's 0.00-->10.00

And so what if I don't buy it there? I cancel my preorder. So what if I can't cancel my order? Say one day I am eating a Big n Tasty and there's a nail in it and I'm standing there on the sidewalk and I'm choking and then A fucking CITY BUS RUNS OVER ME AND I SKIP A FEW HUNDRED FEET, SCRAPPED AND BLOODIED AND THEN AN AIRPLANE DROPS OUT OF THE SKY AND CRASHES INTO ME AND THEN PELICANS EAT MY BRAINS AND HAS BUTTSECKS AND KILLS ME BEFORE I CAN CANCEL MY PREORDER AT TOYS R US

It does not matter. Because 10.00>5.00

Don't you see that if you do the pre-order, you're NOT wasting $5? Here's the deal. Car's is currently 14.99. If you pre-order it, you PAY a total of 9.99 and you'll get $5 off beauty and the beast later. Do you see the way this works? You pay LESS if you do the pre-order. You make a $5 deposit, you get a $10 discount. The net result is a price DECREASE of the movie you're buying currently by $5. Basically what happens is $5 is removed from the price of Cars (lowering it to 9.99) and another $5 is alocated away from cars to the pre-order. The net result is that you buy the movie for 4.99 and pay 5.00 for the pre-order. This is a total of 9.99 which is CHEAPER than if you had not done the pre-order. If you do not plan on picking up the pre-order, you still saved $5 and can do this every time you want to buy a Disney movie. If you plan on picking up the pre-order, you'll be getting another $5 off it too. Additionally, if you have an $8 upgrade coupon for Cars, you could probably get it for only 1.99 + tax.

You don't get it, do you? Two guys are arguing over this with EVERYONE else. Get yourself a $20 bill, a $10 bill, and a $5 bills. Place the $20 bill on a movie. THat movies costs that 20 bucks. Now pull out a piece of paper, this is the "pre-order" paper. Put $5 on that and replace the $20 bill on the movie with the $10 bill. Which would you rather pay for a movie? $20 or $15 (on the receipt 10 will be allocated to the movie if you return it and 5 to the pre-order).

What the fuck are you even talking about; why did you quote me? I know how the pre-order works, and I know about the discount.

My point is there is no reason to argue against getting it because you can either A) cancel it and get your $5 back (thus getting an actual $10 discount at no cost to you) or B) keep the pre-order if intend to buy the movie.

are you sure you can cancel the preorder without losing the discount? on the receipt, the discount and the preorder have the same item number next to them.
Man I had the same problem. Effin TRU don't want to actively sell their Blu-Rays...they stuck in the Ice Age.

1000% positive, i have done it before and will do it again. just tell them you changed your mind and they will refund the $5. the items are not linked in the system like a gift card at best buy or target. basically the system works as if this is present do this, if not dont.

like a bogo, sure you could purchase any of those game individually or with another game not part of said promo. but if you put 2 games that are part of the promo, the promo happens.

make sense?

I'm not arguing with anybody on this. Everybody else is taking this out of context. I have worked in retail now for 17 years and know how this stuff works. I am just reading what people have said on here and some of it comes off where they thank they are saving more money than thank that they are.

1) some people thank they are saving $10 on the movie they are buying with the coupon they get from the $5 preorder, but in fact they are only saving $5 when the other $5 dollars is going to the preorder itself.

2) Then they think that preordered movie is going to be $5 cheaper when it comes out, but what they are not seeing or remembering is that they already put $5 dollars down on it which is making it $5 dollars cheaper. The reason that people thank this is because they keep thinking they got they other movie $10 dollars cheaper. Its all just a way retail companies make you think you are getting things cheaper.

3) The other thing is the person who says not to pick up the preorder because in the end you are still saving $5 on the movie you used the $10 coupon on when you put down your preorder is crazy, because you didn't save money. take their example on Cars: $14.99 + $5.00 (preorder) = $19.99 - $10.00 (coupon) = $9.99 good deal? yes
but if you don't pick-up the preorder and just forget it like he says this is how the math reads out:
$14.99+$5.00 (preorder)=$19.99-$10.00(coupon)=$9.99+$5.00 (spent on forgotten preorder) = $14.99 same price as before.

As long as you do pick-up the preorder yes you are saving $5 on the other movie while the other is $5 is already spent on the preorder if you do pick it up. I understand how it works. Like I said I think its funny how people believe they are saving more than they are. I am done with this and I won't say anymore.

Dude, this is untrue. If you do not pick up the pre-order, you pay only 9.99. It's NOT a coupon. It's a pre-order discount you get from the store and can be used WITH a coupon (look for my PM).

If you don't pick up the pre-order, all you paid is 9.99. You don't pay 9.99 + 5.00. You pay 4.99 +5.00. Cars is only $4.99 if you pre-order BaTB and the pre-order is the other $5.00, making the total 9.99 if you DO NOT pick up the pre-order. If you pick up the pre-order, you'll get that other $5.00 towards Beauty and the beast (again, look at PM from me).

What we're talking about paying is the TOTAL money out of pocket for the purchase + pre-order cost. You can go into TRU right now and buy Car's AND get a pre-order of BaTB and pay a grand total of 9.99 out the door.

To put it another way, go buy Cars at TRU and do a second transaction and buy Car's and pre-order BaTB. Which do you think costs less? The Car's transaction is 14.99 out the door. The transaction where you bought cars and did the pre-order is 9.99 out the door. That's why we're saying it saves you $5 even if you don't pick up the pre-order.

For the love of god, take it to PMs. I come here to check for new coupons and all I see is pages of people arguing over what seems to be $5.

OMG so true, ppl arguing over who is right on saving 5 - 10 bucks.

Back on topic:

What are the current deals with the disney blu-rays at TRU again?

If JatGP was 24.99, I could get it for free, think they will lower it before the 10 off expires?
