CAG 360 Game Lending Circle - NOW OPEN TO ALL, READ RULES 1ST - 292 Games Available!
So how is this going? Good, bad kinda in between?

What are some of the problems you guys are running into?
I haven't really heard any of either, actually. Syn and I are pretty much on our 3rd successful transaction, but I haven't heard any updates/completions/problems from anyone else.

I've made the circle open to more CAGs, so hopefully we'll be getting more active lendings going, but right now I think there are only 5 active transactions currently. There may be more going on in the background, but if they're going successfully, then that's good.

Ready to lend. Here is my list of games, it's not much but at least it's something.

Big Bumpin'
Blue Dragon
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Dark Sector
Madden 07
NBA 2k7
Pocketbike Racer
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Sneak King
Saints Row (PH)
Splinter Cell: Double Agent Limited Edition
Test Drive: Unlimited
Viva Pinata
Hey HotShot is Cheapy going to ever integrate this into an actually feature for CAG?
The Circle's a long way from being proven to be an efficient, successful system, and CAG 2.0 still has a lot of other things on its backburner that "Super Programmer" John will be getting to before this.

Overall, both CheapyD and John have expressed support for the idea, so in one case it's just a matter of time and priorities. But at the same time, it still needs to be a proven concept, hence the Beta Testing.

I have a few older untradable condition games I do not play and can lend out for a couple weeks at a time. The discs are in fair to good condition, but 100% playable, so not much to worry about wear from borrowing/regular use. Sorry about the short list, I trade alot and i do not keep games for very long once I finish them. HotshotX hit me up with a PM if you want.

Have:
Stranglehold (good condition)
Halo 3 LE (poor)
Call of Duty 4 (fair - poor)

Want:
Condemned 2
The Orange Box
Blazing Angels 2
History Channel's Civil War: Secret Missions

I'm going to have to think about joining this as a lender--I've got a decent 50+ game 360 collection and am not totally opposed to the idea... however, I'm extremely strict on the quality of my games. I'll give it some thought... a great project, regardless.

Hey, meant to post this a day or so ago just slipped my mind. Received the game back from Foo228. Pleasant transaction all around.

I would be interested in this and have several games that I could lend out, specifically those which are odd ball games that other people might not own as I have a tendancy to buy those games.

However I don't qualify for the program. I have been here a number of years but I do of my shopping out and about so not alot of trades on here.

I would qualify as a lender but I fail to see what benefit it would be to me to become a lender if I could not even in turn borrow from another. Maybe I am looking at it wrong.

You could build some good feedback.
Anyone with at least 10+/100% iTrader and at least a year on CAG may borrow, and anyone with at least a year on CAG may lend.
Does this mean I can participate with my current iTrader? ;)

edit: Wait. I just realized that it didn't mean 10+ or 100...but both. Oops.

You can build feedback to the point where you can start borrowing as well.

Ah gotcha. Didn't realize you would build feedback by lending out a game to someone.

Millertime said on the 5th he'd be mailing back indy in a couple of days, so I assume its on its way now. Though, he hasn't emailed me statings its been mailed. So hopefully soon I'll have a successful transaction to report soon.

Tagged. Slowly building up my 360 library. I'd want to borrow some older games like dead rising since I dont want to shell out the $$ for them most of my games are newer release.
Hotshot, you can add Lost Odyssey and Xbox Live Arcade Compilation to my list, also Naruto Rise of a Ninja is back.
Updated the OP.

~HotShotX

Syn's sending me back Mass Effect and Deadliest Catch (which I'm borrowing from him). How's everyone else doing?

EDIT: Games are in, updating the OP.

Updated the OP, glad to hear things went well. Hopefully it will inspire more people to participate in the circle :)

unfortunately, i'm not having that great of an experience. I lent Millertime Lego's Indiana Jones, He was suppose to mail it back after Christmas, It never came. I emailed him, and he said he misunderstood and was going to mail it out that was 01/05.. never got it, emailed him again 01/10 and he said he forgot my address but will have it out right away..gave him my address and waited. I emailed him again on the 17th..and haven't heard from him since.

Sorry to hear things have been a bit rocky for you. Miller, you might ease homeland's concerns by using DC (should be mandatory anyway) when you ship his game back to him (right away :)), and pming him the DC number for tracking.

Homeland, I don't know what Miller's response/reason for delay was, but I hope you found it satisfactory/reasonable. Keep me posted.

Update (1/25/09): It's been another couple of weeks with little issue, so I'm lowering the restrictions again. If you have been on CAG at least a year you may lend, if you have been on CAG at least a year and have at least 5+/100% iTrader, you may borrow.

Bear in mind however, that any lender may refuse to lend to anyone they choose, for any reason they choose. With the lower iTrader restriction, you may come across a few lenders who are not comfortable with lesser known members. This is still a very new idea, so don't take offense to it :) Try another lender and see if you can work something out.

Notice to all Lenders and Borrowers of the CAG GLC:

If you have completed a cycle of borrowing/lending, I'd like you both (borrower and lender) to submit to me via PM feedback regarding your transaction in the following format:

Lender:
Borrower:
Game:
Rating: Positive / Neutral / Negative
Details:

An example would be as follows:

Lender: HotShotX
Borrower: SynGamer
Game: Mass Effect
Rating: Positive
Details: The game was received back in prime condition and within the agreed upon time frame, a great lending experience.

We may not be able to submit iTrader feedback yet for the GLC, but I'd like to start cataloguing everyone's experience so that those still on the fence about the GLC can get some first hand feedback about the experience.

I've updated the Completed Transactions / Feedback section of the OP if you'd like to see what I mean.

B: Positive - The game arrived very quickly and in great condition, provided over 80 hours of gameplay practically for free! Thanks CAG GLC and SynGamer!

SynGamer - Mass Effect / HotShotX
L: Positive - The game was received back in prime condition and within the agreed upon time frame, a great lending experience.

B: I did't even get to finish the game a second time... :(

Updated the OP with latest completed transactions. So far we're up to 5 successful transactions and 1 neutral. Things have been a bit slow and I'm curious as to whether it's due to this thread being in the 360 forum and not the trading forum.

What do you guys think, is it time we open this up to the trading forum but still keep it limited to 360 games due to ease of monitoring the borrower? Or should be move the thread and open it to all systems?

~HotShotX

My guess is most people are preoccupied with games they got recently/during the holidays and/or they could be trying to downsize their own backlog.

I say keep the system as is.

I haven't been getting many offers on my stuff.

Also, Orange box is back, and you can add "N3: Ninety Nine Nights" and "Ninja Gaiden 2" to my list.

I'm open for business people!

Just to publicly announce:

Homeland and I are in the process of exchanging Fallout 3 and Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution.

My Fallout 3
His Civilization Revolution

k.

Not that I'm participating (no one ever responded to my questions about participating), but you put this in the trade forum and you open yourself up to all kinds of riffraff. Could possibly go into general gaming if you wanted to open the idea up to different games. I could just see this already long thread getting really messy.

I'd personally keep it here until CheapyD implements it into the trading system (for feedback). This is a nice little semi-closed beta and so far it seems to be going well.

I agree, keep it in here. The trade forum is a can of worms imo. And manitee, don't worry I'll be hitting you up once I'm done with Fallout 3.

Here is an updated version of my list.

Big Bumpin'
Blue Dragon
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Call of Duty 3
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Earth Defense Force 2017
Enchanted Arms
Eternal Sonata
Infinite Undiscovery
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Pocketbike Racer
Prey
Quake 4
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Sneak King
Saints Row (PH)
Test Drive: Unlimited
Viva Pinata

SynGamer confirms receiving Deadliest Catch back in good condition. Updated the OP, and moving on to my 4th borrowing. How's everyone else doing?

Only had one bite so far... a second tentative after they have their way with Fallout 3.

Finally now that reqs have lowered and you don't need a 15+ iTrader rating I can give this a try! I have a large list of games I may be lending out soon.

Sent a PM to Manatee for College Hoops.

Just a quick fact check for anyone interested in the CAG 360 GLC:

Since I started this thread on 11/29/08, I've borrowed 4 games from my fellow CAGs: Fable II, Lost Odyssey, Deadliest Catch, and now Dragonball Z: Burst Limit. Referencing Amazon.com, I've saved the following:

Fable II: $53.99 New / $30.00 Used
Lost Odyssey: $27.99 New / $17.99 Used
Deadliest Catch: $29.99 New / $21.99 Used
Dragonball Z: $29.99 New / $18.95 Used

Total: $141.96 New / $88.93 Used (Assuming no effort to search for CAG deals)

My fellow CAGs, if that isn't enough incentive to get involved with the CAG GLC, then I'm gonna have to ask you to turn in your CAG Card. :)
