CAG League Sports: Madden 12 "JV League" - We Finished 3 Seasons! Thanks Everybody!!!
Geez DVO, seems like you were really on your game tonight.
just one of thoughs days bro but his line couldnt doing anything and well i think we all know redskins and well they lack a good QB just took advantage of the situation and took over the game in a way i know i could with perfect blitz plays and the right time and the right zone plays at the right time all luck though really everyone gets one of these games once in there life mine just so happened to be then

Anyone able to sub for the Cardinals in the next 30 minutes? If not, I'll be back later tonight to see if anyone can then.
Chiefs and Patriots exchanged PM's. He has my hours of availabilty now, hopefully the game will get played tonight.
Weird.. I didn't get a PM from you. You're the second person who has said they sent me a PM and I didn't get it.

Hey all, just wanted to mention we've got one more open spot in the other league (the Bills) if anyone is interested. We're just about to wrap up season two, and we're planning to have the rookie draft either Saturday or Sunday, so we'd like to have an owner in place by then. The Bills have a top 10 pick.

We'll take either someone completely new or someone who left the other league and would like to give it another try (assuming you plan to stick with it). PM me if you're interested!

Can someone sub for the Cardinals at 10 PM EST? I told G33 I'd try to make it then, but it looks like I'm not going to be available. I might be able to do like 12 AM EST, but I'd feel better if somebody else just subbed so he can finally get his game played.

Sorry about the frequent inquiries for a game. I've just been busy and, while I'm still basically available for a game at all times, I have things that need to get done soon, which is why I was trying to get the game done early in our Madden week, or at least have a scheduled time at which I could guarantee I could be on. It'll be a bit hectic for me for the rest of the week, and probably next week as well. I'll be back in time and ready by 10 though.

G33 - Sent you an invite 15 minutes ago as I noticed you were logged in. Sent you a message via XBL as well. You must still be away though. If you don't get back in a bit here, I am going to have to move on. Hope to see ya on in a few.

Edit - He got into the game right before I was getting ready to shut it down. Game is getting set to start. :D

Arizona - 20
San Francisco - 14

Wow, an exciting game I thought I was destined to lose. Arizona threw a pick 6 early in the game, but was able to rebound and take a 14-7 lead into the half.

The second half saw a wonky FG attempt that had a better chance of going through a cheerleader's legs rather than the uprights. I also would fumble the ball on a key drive that would prove my running down the clock to be a fatal mistake. SF was able to milk the rest of the clock down and drive down the field, coming up with many big conversions. On 4th and goal from the 2, on the final play of regulation, he was able to punch it in to tie it and send the game to OT.

After winning the toss, I would begin a drive that would result in a fumble by Chester Taylor around the 9ers 25 yard line. Thankfully, I would hold the 9ers and force them to punt. From there, Arizona was able to drive down and score the winning TD on a toss to Fitzgerald with under a minute to go.

Great game G33, you got some good moves with Gore. That pick 6 was a good play as well, along with all the fumbles you were causing. :D

Remaining games for this week:

Jets vs Broncos (we need a sub for the Jets...not sure what Kaster's availability is)
Bengals vs Ravens (???)
Buccaneers vs Packers (???)
Eagles vs Giants (???)

Also just noticed that I missed this post.
i take over the vikings as another team if needed
The problem with that is that you already have a team in the NFC. I realize the only other option that gives you is the Jets. And I don't know how people would feel about giving away a 1st place team this late in the year (feel free to weigh in though). Minnesota doesn't play Seattle though, so there is that. Honestly, with all the open teams we have right now, I'm receptive to any creative thinking for distributing teams that people feel wouldn't become problematic.

My bad, I was checking to see if you had the Cardinals every five minutes, but you were still on the Falcons every time I checked. I guess it doesn't update until I log out and log back into franchise. Good to know for future reference.

Great game. It just tells me how much more practice I need to get better at this game. No matter what I tried, I couldn't stop the pass at all unless I wanted to give up tons of yards on the ground, and even then, I still wasn't guaranteed to stop you on 3rd and long. I got no penetration sending seven or eight on the blitz either, so I was scratching my head at trying to figure out what I was supposed to do. It's games like this that I joined this league to play, as I want my defense to get torn apart so I know what I need to improve on.

The Bengals are my secondary team, but I have not been able to connect with widow. Have tried XBL, PM and in the forum, but I can't get him to confirm a time ...

I need a sub for Tampa, something came up and I can't play today... You can also sim the Denver game since the Jets don't have an owner.
I might be able to sub for the Bucs against the Pack, depending on the time.

Kaster, did you free them up?
I can play whenever today.

Packers - 13
Bucs - 12

It was technically a close game, and there were several turnovers on both sides, but pitfall kicked the shit out of me. He outplayed me in every aspect and I was never able to get anything moving with Freeman. You played great pitfall, good game. What a defensive performance there.

pitfall and I had a hell of a game yesterday. The game stayed pretty close most of the game and it was 17-17 into the 4th quarter. I threw a pick and that allowed him to go up 20-17. I then threw another pick on my side of the field and he went up 27-17. I got the ball back with a little more than a minute left and I think one timeout. I managed to go down the field in two pass plays and make it 27-24.

I then went for an onside kick. Luckily, it seems pitfall's player wanted to stand around while my guy kinda slid under him and recovered the ball. A few passes over the middle and I was able to tie it and take us into overtime.

Pitfall went for a surprise onside kick, but I recovered and drove down to get a TD and win the game 33-27. It was nice to have a close one go in my favor for once.

Wow. I didn't really see it that way. I feel like I'm lucky to come away with a win. You were just gashing me on the ground early on, so I had to make a few adjustments to try to stop that. And curl routes are usually my bread and butter plays, but you were all over those. I had I don't know how many players get hurt. I haven't looked at the injured list yet, but I hope there's nothing too serious. I know Starks broke his jaw.

Good game. That was a battle.

I was so pissed after that ending. I was trying to get it over with because I needed to leave, and I was thinking, "please don't let this go to OT". Then I tried the surprise onside kick to hopefully get it over with quickly, but that was foiled. Man, I wish I could have that 4th quarter back. It was a really good game, though.

It was a good game for sure. I just felt like a complete noob again playing you. That 1 pt lead in the 2nd half may as well have been a 20 pt lead anytime I touched the ball, as I felt like I was not going to be able to get anything going. If I tried to pass over the middle, nothing there. If I tried to do an out, nothing there. You mixed up your coverages and blitzes very well, on top of taking away my running game in the 2nd half. I had several possessions in the 2nd half, the opportunity was there. You just denied me every time.

I just felt like you were the far better player right then and there and there was nothing I could do about it. :(

I felt like I wanted the 4th quarter back until the last minute or so. We had a good game through 3, but man I had two bad drives in a row there in the fourth. Luckily, I pulled off a miracle at the end.
I'll play for the eagles! My opponent just pm me and I'll sub
I thought you took on the Eagles as your secondary team? If so, you guys probably should have been in touch before now. Obviously, it's less your fault since the Giants are silversnake5's primary team, and he probably should have been seeking you out. Not sure what's going on with him. He said he wants to keep playing, but he seems to be having trouble getting his games played. I've got a feeling this one is going to be simmed.

Crap. I just remembered I promoted Kaster to commish when I switched to my secondary team last...meaning I don't have the power to advance us right now. Kaster, if you want to just advance the week when you get a chance (it's under "commissioner options"...just be careful because it doesn't give any confirmation that it advanced after you do it. So, just back out and look at the schedule if you're unsure if it worked) and then promote me back to commish, that would be great. I meant to tell you sooner but with the way I've been sleeping, everything just kinda blurs together. I appreciate it, man. Sorry for the delay, everybody.
I feel like Bruce Almighty :D

Haha, thanks man. Just don't start making us say crazy things.
Lyric - PMed you about Cards.

Anyone want to sub for the Vikes to play me this week?
I can do it. Are you free now?

Yeah, although I have yet to play a game with the Bengals — couldn't seem to connect with my last two opponents. If Yanksfan can sub for the Cards tonight, I'll play that game tonight. Maybe we could do tomorrow night?
I can do it. Are you free now?
Sorry Kaster, I missed this. With GB starting in a few, I can't now. :(

Maybe we can in the next few days some time? I am available later in the evenings (EST)

How about Tuesday night? I should be free then.

I'm back. I have been gone for a few days. I am ready to play my game against the bucs this week. I am going to PM him so we can hopefully get it in soon.

Texans - 49
Jags - 42

In a game where the Texans should have lost due to a disconnection in the first game we tried it was all about offense. The Texans D couldn't stop the passing game for anything as the ball was spread evenly among the receiving core. Both teams amassed 500 yards of total offense at least with the Jags landing just shy of 600 with 592.

Pitfall you were SURGICAL with Gabbert going 25/31 with a staggering 437 yards, 4 TD's and only two picks.

Schaub on the other hand had a good game as well going 17/24 with a respectable 353 yards, 5 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Texans RB Cedric Benson took over for an Injured Ben Tate and had 9 carries for 91 yards and a TD.

Owen Daniels continues to stand out with 105 yards receiving and 2 TD's.

GREAT GAME pitfall! I've played you several times now an everytime its a great match with integrity and I know when I play you I can count on three things: 1. I'm going to probably lose, 2. You play with honor and I can trust that you won't bury my nose in the fact that I suck an you are awesome, and 3. If I do win like just now...IT WAS LUCK! Lol.

I look forward to seeing you take some victories in the playoffs. I'm pulling for ya bud.

Saints - 49
Giants - 0

Wow...Sean Payton must have lit a fire under his team's ass coming off the bye week because the Saints defense was relentless in this game. At the start, the Giants defense looked up to the challenge as well, as the game was scoreless after one quarter. However, a pick 6 by Tracy Porter, on the first play of the 2nd quarter, opened up the flood gates. New Orleans scored 28 points in the 2nd quarter and 14 in the 3rd.

Drew Brees only had to throw the ball 5 times because of the havoc Willis McGahee and Darren Sproles were wreaking on the G-Men defense. McGahee finished with 134 yards on 15 carries with 3 TDs (42 yds, 65 yds, 3 yds), while Sproles, playing only as a 3rd down back gained 124 yards on 3 carries, with 2 TD runs of 72 and 57 yards.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ball, the Giants o-line just left Eli Manning out to dry. The Giants finished the game with -5 yards of total offense: 4 yards rushing and -9 yards passing, as Manning was sacked 10 times. Sedrick Ellis and Keith Bulluck both had 3 sacks a piece.

Several of those sacks came when I was only rushing 4 (and a few times 3), so that tells you how badly silversnake5 got screwed in this game. As I told him though, after losing 2 straight with both of my teams, I guess I was just "due". Sometimes, even Madden gives you a cookie, lol. Thank you for the game, silversnake5. I'm sorry you had to endure that. The game definitely wasn't a reflection on your skill. You seriously had no time to do anything.

Damn, not so great game guys. ;)

Just kidding, it looks like it was just one of those Madden games..negative 5 yards, that is just harsh. :(
