Edit: good to go!
K Hopping on now!

Good game lyric!

Edit: sorry about the suprise onside with 3 to go. I felt it was the right move and ended up screwing me over. Hope there weren't any hard feelings.

Bengals 17
Texans 9

Cincinnati survives an ugly one they really had no business winning. The Bengals had three turnovers and only netted 3 yards of rushing offense. However, the Texans' two turnovers came in the red zone, basically eliminating 14 points.

I think this one could have gone either way, Doc. You led in every category except the scoreboard, and that was because of the turnovers (which, as we know, are pretty much completely random).

No worries about that onside kick, either. I thought you may try that there. Heck, I would have!

Anyway, I believe you forced more three-and-outs on me than any other player in the league. A Texans/Rams Super Bowl would be awesome!!

I'm not sure if the trade deadline has passed?

But if not I'm looking for a speedy quarterback to trade for.

Tyrod Taylor, Kapernick, Vick, Tavaris Jackson, Vince Young, and all the likes of them. hell maybe even Colt Mccoy.

PM me if you have one of these guys and what your interested in trading them for (probably wont be Castle, but you never know).

Well I see the AFC North race is still close. Unfortunately, you won this one. :) I was surprised you lost one recently to still be one game back from me and two back from the other guys. I'm thinking I have to win 3 of my last 4 to make the playoffs and hope you can win against the other AFC North teams. I guess you probably hope the rest of us split our games and lose to everyone else, heh.

On the trade note:

I'm looking for a speedy running back and everyone with the exception of Schaub an Johnson are on the table!

Shoot me offers for a top tier running back and we will work something out with players and high picks!

Bengals are my secondary team, so I don't really have a horse in this race, per se ...

And for the right price, I could lose to anyone you want!

J/k n8!

Falcons - 24
Panthers - 21

Another close game here (our first game, CAR won 6-3). It was back and forth all game, and was another defensive duel until the 4th quarter, where each team scored 2 TDs to push the score up. After a TD by ATL to take a 3 point lead, things looked well for the Falcons after they picked off Newton on the next drive. However, an ill fated 3rd and 11 pass was picked off in the endzone by CAR and taken back for a TD and a late lead. The Falcons had to drive 80 yards in about a minute to take the lead back and win the game.

The difference in the game was a lucky one, as at the end of the first half, I was able to pull in a deflected ball for a good gain by Jones and get up in time to spike the ball to kick a FG. Turned out that FG was needed to separate us by the end.

Good game Tanabeo, easily could have gone either way.

hey im still here i thought i had a bye last week and since we advance once a week and i hadnt heard from anyone i thought i was on a bye my bad

At this point, I think trades should be held off until the offseason. The other league uses Week 10 as their deadline, and I think that's reasonable. No trades have been completed since then anyway, so we're good in that regard.

Fine with me.

Fine by me. Makes sense didn't even think that we were in the last 3 weeks.

I thought we advance every 3-4 days, not once a week.

I guess he means that since there are 7 days in a week, advancing every 4 days is only once that week? lol...still an odd way to look at it, but yeah, it's every 4 days.

Darn, well I'll have to pick up a my speedy QB in the draft after Castle picks up his first Super Bowl Ring.

Does he mean Cassel?
Does he mean Cassel?
I don't know, but I think he should try to acquire Ryan Moats. I mean...how can you have a Castle without a Moats?

Clearly I meant Cassel, and I knew I was spelling it wrong, just too lazy to care.

I'll take Prince Amukamura if he's being offered.

Actually if you ask any KC fan his name is spelled Casshole.

Haha I don't know any Chiefs fans... Which is lucky. For people I know.

Just had a great game with Matt Young, but lost 24-17. Well I should say great competition, not that I played great. I'm lucky I only lost by a TD when I was -4 for turnovers. I'll take credit for a couple, but the rain sure didn't help with my receivers falling down and bad passes I think. Oh well, I think my playoff chances are pretty much shot unless I win out and get some help.
Did Tana ever show this morning? I play the panthers in week 14 and really want to see the playoffs in the next week or two.
Yep, he showed up.

49ers 20
Cardinals 17

The 49ers got a taste of the 5 wide QB rush offense today, and you guys weren't kidding about how hard it is to stop. Between Kolb rushing and Fitz catching passes, the Cardinals were unstoppable on their first drive, marching down the field for a TD. The 49ers tried to answer back on their own first drive, but got stalled out on 4th and 2 on their own 43. Knowing that it would be an uphill battle to stop the Cardinals from scoring on their next possession from anywhere on the field, the 49ers made the gut call to go for it, and were rewarded by a successful conversion, a 34 yard completion to Vernon Davis, then ended the drive with a 1 yard TD by Frank Gore. Akers kicked a 50 yard FG to put the 49ers up 10-7, but Feely kicked a FG of his own to end the first half at 10-10. After a scoreless 3rd quarter, Akers kicked a FG to put the 49ers up 13-10 in the 4th, but Kolb answered right back on the following drive, finishing with an 11-yard TD pass to Todd Heap. With 1:56 left to go, Alex Smith felt the pressure, misfiring on several key 1st and 2nd downs, but managed to keep his team alive by making several key conversions, including a huge 44-yard reception to Josh Morgan. With a 4-yard TD by Frank Gore with 23 seconds to go, the 49ers made their first 4th quarter comeback this season, leaving it up to the 49ers defense to make a stand against the potent duo of Kolb and Fitz. And stop them they did. Playing with a fire unseen until now, the 49ers pressured Kolb into making an errant throw up the middle, and Navorro Bowman jumped the route, snatching the ball out of the air for the first and only turnover of the game and securing the win.

GG LVPatriots. That was fun, you kept me guessing all game. I have to revise my gameplan against 5 wide sets, as I wouldn't have been able to stop you if you decided to run 5 wide every single play, including 4th downs.

GG to you as well buddy, Gosh I really was thinking, "Why the hell am I coming out in the I Formation ISO" a few times. But you gotta switch it up.

I'm really not big on ever going for it on fourth. (Though I see all of you guys are, which I have zero problem with).

You actually stopped me on 2 or 3 3rd and inches that I was not too happy about, but had to punt away.

It was really fun to play with the Original Cardinals again (I have them in the Main League but with Brees and AP and a few first round draft picks) so it was refreshing to see what I started with.

Really good game, now that the Cards are my secondary team we'll have many more to come!

P.S. Did I miss a conversation about QB option 5 wide sets? I'd love to read that

Damailman: Are we on for 11 p.m. tonight? I am confused, because you confirmed that time yesterday but I just received another PM asking when I wanted to play. Thought we had this one scheduled. Let me know ASAP.

Yanksfan when can you play? I thought we had it scheduled for yesterday and i was online. Let me know if you can play tonight or if anyone can sim as the Jets vs. the Chiefs before we advance.

Seahawks 14
Rams 0

The Seahawks beat the Rams in every way imaginable in this NFC West contest. St. Louis could get nothing going on offense or defense and was shut out for the first time this season.

Rams turned it over three times (all INTs), and Sam Bradford had a laughable 7.6 passer rating. He was 9-of-24. Even Steven Jackson was awful, carrying it 19 times for only 81 yards and no touchdowns. Justin Bannan notched two sacks, but that was the only bright spot for St. Louis.

GG damailman. I was trying a few new things, but you were even shutting down my go-to plays.

Remaining games:

Raiders vs Packers (???)
Eagles vs Dolphins (???)
Patriots vs Redskins (connection issues, will probably get simmed)
Colts vs Ravens (???)
Chiefs vs Jets (looks like something MAY have been planned?)
Giants vs Cowboys (DVO...you don't have a bye. silversnake5 has had trouble logging into CAG. Message him on XBL. If either of you misses another game, I'm booting you to at least free up the spot for subs until you feel like paying attention again)

You guys have roughly 24 hours to get these games played. Let's make it happen.

Man, why is it that most of the time when I run into a complete dipshit in a ranked game, he's in the military? Aren't those guys supposed to learn honor and respect? I just played some jackass who chose the Patriots, switched to their dark jerseys even though he was the away team, and then proceeded to run a hurry up the entire game, and went for every 4th down. He just kept running slants to Gronk for most of the game, so I started usering Vilma and almost had numerous INTs that were batted down.

Meanwhile, Brees was overthrowing wide open receivers for would be TDs. Finally, with the game tied 21-21 in the 4th, I get a pick at around his 40, go up by a TD, and stop him on his final drive. He then tells me I'm lucky and that I was a pussy for running the clock down. On the bright side, I did get to call him a "semen" and told him at least the Village People wrote a song about him (bio says he's in the Navy), lol. But god damn, man. Assholes are everywhere in this game.
Eagles Dolphins are two secondary teams! You can sim bro!
Not anymore! N3XTLVL picked them up last week, remember?!? Why are we so excited?!?! Must be sleep deprivation!!! lol ;)

Chiefs vs Jets (looks like something MAY have been planned?)

Can anybody sub for this at 4:30 pm PST tonight?

I've gotten nothing from Yanksfan since Mon/Tues

I can sub that if its cool with everyone.

Edit: BTW n8, I am pretty sure I played the same guy yesterday. All he did was run crosses and slants to gronk. I ran double man, and zones but was unable to stop him with the crummy Titans defense.

Great! Thanks Dark Rider! I'll see you at 4:40 pm PST (gotta drive home from work). PM if you want to play later than that, it would be fine with me.

My bad on the Jets-Chiefs game LV..for some reason, I had it in my head that we played it earlier in the week, but we had just exchanged PMs on it. I haven't been on CAG as much or active in the threads as this week has been hectic. No excuse though, I completely dropped the ball.

Edit - I certainly don't mind DR subbing for me either. I am sure it will be a good game.

No worries man

Can anyone sub for the Raiders right now or in the next couple hours? DVO and I were scheduled to play Wednesday, but he had something come up. We were going to try again last night, but my internet was acting up and I couldn't connect to Live. I'm busy tonight after 5 EST. I'm fine with a sim if that's what it comes to.

Okay for all the people asking for subs. If you cant find any one, I will be on all evening. So just pm me a time through cag or live and I will be happy to sub. Just note that I have the KCvNYJ game at 7:40pEST.
