Also I did get the voucher for FF14. You should have waited on that too!

AFAIK the redeem code in the PS4 box allows you to play disc free. At least that's how I remember playing it. But I'm far to cheap to pay a monthly fee.

If anyone is interested in it, it's for sale.

lol the New 3ds is gonna be my 3rd one I have. Gotta get that MH4 edition though, I kinda like the design on it

I was going to buy one just because but eh. I have a XL but it hurts my hands after about 10 minutes or so. I was hoping that the smaller one would alleviate this problem but being in the U.S., I'll never know!

I preordered the Majora's Mask edition today. I actually won my original 3DS a few months before the system launched (UGO.com Twitter contests) so it doesn't really feel like I'm double-dipping which is nice. Can't wait for the larger screen, better viewing angle, and faster processor!

yeah I sorta wish we got the smaller version too but ehh. I cant even trade in 1 of my others either which sucks. My original 3ds is still on 4.5 for homebrew and my XL is the Special Pikachu edition.

I hope we at least see games that use the extra features some though, so it doesn't feel like a waste.

It's a lot of work though. You have to download the PS3 version, install, create a account, and possibly create a character.

Then download the PS4 version

In-game content, means version - standard, limited or with bonuses edition. I know the region, I bought it long time ago shortly after day one.

I had a rather interesting night.

Went to GameStop to trade in Horizon 2. Happened upon a UC3 on the counter. Told the cashier I had found this game here and it wasn't mine. Cashier proceeded to treat it as a trade. Was told I would get $0.48 cents for UC3.

Immediately responded, I don't want it, It's not mine. Cashier responds; You can keep it if you don't want to trade it.

Proceed with Horizon 2 trade in. Cashier hand me "back" UC3: GOTY and $30ish for my trade-in.

Walk out with free game.

Mind Blown!

Port forwarding is safe but DMZ leaves your device outside of the Firewall which I guess is safe for Xbox/PSX but not PC. You should setup your PS3 with a static IP Address because dynamic IP will change and would had to redo all the ports on the router. If you list the PS3 IP Address in the DMZ I don't think you need to go through those additional steps to free up those ports since like the video said it puts your PS3 outside the firewall.

I had to go through hoops just to find my character to give Prada the server and FC info. Not sure if I'll be back to FF14 anytime soon since hitting the wall. Not good enough to do the new dungeons on hard mode and pretty much suck at being a Tank and DPS which are my max characters.

I got 2 games for free during a buy 2 get 1 free online sale. Returned 6 games after deciding I didn't have time to play them and the cashier gave me back 2 telling me that I got these games for free and I should keep them.

Oh wow, it never even occurred to me that users could be created just to get the PS+ trial and play those games free for a couple of weeks at a time. Was there a limit on the PS3?

I'm too lazy to bother in general, but could see it being useful for perhaps firing up a PS+ game from another region.

 
Currently, free PS+ games are the same in EU and US. DC is on sale, and PS+ members can buy it 35% off. That's the point:)

30 days subscriptions = $8

48h trial = free and save 35% on the game

You don't need to use a 48h trial code. Just create the account on the web site, go to the web store, and buy the PS+ free trial and then the game you want. Unless I'm missing something this limit of 3 trials per console shouldn't even come into play.

Eh. I suppose. It just takes a couple minutes to add the CC and then remove it after your purchase.

Still, though...anybody have any reason why the approach I mentioned wouldn't work for getting free other-region PS+ games? There's been a few times where Japan got a game I wanted for PS+ and I could have burned through the game within the trial period. Though actually I would think I could just replace the account with another burner PS+ account if I ran out of time (assuming the game selection hasn't changed.) The save should still work as long as I'm playing on my normal account and not the burner.
