just came back. I think this is still YMMV because there are still reports of this not working at some places. however, I was lucky enough to find one that still worked. here are the games i just got:

I spent no more than about $40. I was shocked when I came into this CC though. Because there was no one around but me and the employees didn't know what was going on until he rung up my transaction. There were sooooooo many GH, PH, and PC games after I left. I only got the ones I wanted and left for others in my area. The manager was called, but he was like "meh, it's not his fault, we'll just price adjust them later".

So i'd get them asap.

The main rule of thumb is that the games MUST be 19.99 and be bought in multiples of 2. I had a game for 19.96 and it didn't work. Good luck to everyone.

Anyone know if this deal is working in Ohio? I'm working for 6 hours and then I have to take a final at my night class, so I'll probably not be able to get in on this. :cry:
 
This will be no surprise to anyone that is close to this store but not in effect at the Shreveport Louisiana Store. This area is bad for B&M deals anyways seems that I only score on online deals.
 
This is heavily YLMV (your luck may vary) . . . its up to whether or not the clerk realizes its an error decides to do anything about it . . . whether or not the manager has informed the clerks about the problem.

Last summer's $5 sale is probably helping . . . clerks have seen these prices before.

I recommend just grabbing 2 games and if you can get it to work do a few more pairs. If they see you with 20 games, an "alarm" may ring in their heads.

I got 8 last night but the clerk almost "corrected" it . . . going to try a few more today . . . fingers crossed.
 
It it still working in SHreveport, La actually all these games are just ringing up 4.99 period no need to buy 2.

My clerk tried to act dumb and when I went to check out he said "oh... that. Yeah we have to change it." I saw some good games already on hold I bet for his friends.

By the way...I forgot to mention that at the CC in Charlotte, NC, they had a 4 game per person limit. I was nice to the cashier, and she let me purchase 6.

Apparently, management knows, but wants everyone to get in on it.

I posted earlier (page 3 I think) that I didn't believe the OP but I was willing to give him a chance. He didn't have many posts and his original post was unclear so there was doubt in my mind.

After all this was confirmed, I realize that I'm glad now that I didnt join the firing squad (or the CAG Flaming squad if you call it that).

Hey of course man when did you try this? because I just did it 20 minutes ago and it didn't work. Tried jak 2 and RnC for Ps2 and than Manhunt and Beyond good and evil on a seperate ticket. (Brought a friend to try it too. It rang in automatically as 2 for 30
 
I tried Just after you. I saw what mine rang up. I got splinter cell and street 2. Both rang up 4.99.

I am going to call the manager and ask why. Worth a shot!

LOTR-ROTK for Xbox worked fine for me. The only $19.99 game that didn't work for me was the Player's Choice Pac-Man World 2/Pac-Man Vs., but that was because it's on sale for $14.96 right now. :(

Just got back from the brand new Elk Grove, California store and the deal is still in effect. They don't have the biggest selection, but for $4.99 each, how can you complain?
The cashier even double checked the price and made a comment that the games were really cheap. Clearly, no manager has advised them of the correct pricing.
 
I just got back from circuit city as of 1:46 ET. The games are still ringing up 5.00, however everybody was informed the price was wrong. Because when I went to the register, the old man that i choose said "2 for 30" so i told him that I just needed to check. After the total, he called the manager over because they were all doing that. The manager was running all around the store. He was really ticked off. and I heard him say this.

"somebody in virgina is going to loose their job over this." "they did this to us all last summer" :lol: so I ended up getting stuck with a few 15 dollar titles, which ill just return on my next way through there.

BTW Onimusha 3 is 12.00 there.

Why isn't anybody getting Rallisport Challenge 2? It worked for me at CC last night.

I wish I could go back and look some more for Super Monkey Ball 2, but I'm studying for a final. Plus, with how the Montgomery store is, I'm willing to bet that there's a manager standing at each register just to keep this from going through for anybody today.

I *wanted* prince of persia 1 for xbox, and I didn't even want kill.switch, but I had to get an even number. My clerk was awesome, I said "use the #2 offer" and she was like, whatever I just work here, lol.


I wanted morrowwind for xbox but it is only for 19.99 games, and it was 9.95. This works for *all* 19.99 games, not just greatest hits. I know it works for NGC, PS2, and XBOX. Not sure about Game boy..

I just got back from circuit city as of 1:46 ET.

Picked up eight games, cashier game me no trouble... I think the key is to wait for someone who obviously knows nothing about gaming to ring you up :)

Isn't it illegal for the manager to change prices after they've been rung up simply because the games are "too cheap"?

Yeah, I"m EST too--I just mistyped ;) His being twenty minutes in the future would be pretty handy though :p

I went to the CC in Colma CA last night, and got four games at $5. I put four games in my basket quickly, and was searching for more, when I heard a big commotion at one of the registers. The manager was saying, "We have to give them at the sales price, so void the transaction and rering the games." Some dude had a stack of like 30 games, and there was a crowd of people and employees around him.

I quickly took my basket to another register, got rung up for $20 + tax, and ran out of there.
