So my coupon for $10 off Madden 07 on the PS2 that expired in December of 2006 and is only good at Toys R Us, can I use it on Saints Row 2 for 360 combined with this new coupon at Best Buy? ;)

Are you saying any clerk that accepts the $20 coupon would be fired as well? I don't see the difference between return / rebuy and new purchases.

For Xblades, I did in-store pickup and they had to return it and resell it to me to apply the coupon.

Strange, Saints Row 2 is showing 19.99 online and is still the same price at the closest BBY to me. I'm thinking it's probably mislabeled.
 
Just to remind everyone that Amazon is currently PM'ing BB, including Smash Hits for $19.99.

I wanted Smash Hits, but after reading the coupon disclaimer, I doubt I would get SH for $10 at BB if it's left to the manager's discretion. Not to mention all but one BB in my area has it...and by tomorrow, it would most likely be gone.

So I just ordered Smash Hits (and Mirror's Edge for $14.99) from Amazon. Saves me time, gas, and tax. So just a heads-up for those looking for an alternative...especially if you still have Amazon credit.

They probably would be fired if they let you walk out of the store with something for absolutely nothing. Then again, I walked out with a stack of guides a couple years ago when they had a $10 off any guide from Prima Games and I brought up all of the $9.99 guides.:D

Of course, since then both local BB stores have become sticklers on not allowing anything out the door for a penny or free, unless it's part of a bundle and you're actually paying something for something in the order.:roll:

Why would they be fired? The return policy is clear return it within the allowed time. Then you can ask them to repurchase since its not opened and would be back on the shelf, where you can use the coupon that is put out by them (ie they made a mistake) so not the fault of the employee if they follow the rules. Hell the coupon just takes the amount of without authorization

Let me guess, "Not valid on Sale Items" so that means the box will pop up in the POS acting like it's applying the discount, but likely will not adjust the price...great!! :roll:

we can text message you if you give us your number! j/k! actually, some stores now have a kiosk where you can log into the RZ site to check your balance and print coupons. All standard functions should apply, so no reason why you couldn't go to the Gamers Club area and check to see if the coupons are up when you're in store and print them too.

EDIT: This kiosk should be by Customer Service... \/ \/ - you're welcome joshnorm!

very strange, the coupons have been live usually before they were usable. I was remotely curious on fairy Tale fights. SR2 and a few others. I can wait it out.
 
Something tells me they might be altering the coupon for items on sale and/or notifying stores about proper SOP at the POS.
 
Well, I for one hope that they plan to wait and put them up at about 5:00pm or so. I was planning to go after work, so the less time there is for other people to grab everything before I get there, the better, as long as they appear in time for me to print them before leaving the office! ;)

Trust me, the dedicated El Hoardos have probably already pre bought every game available for free or otherwise with the coupon(s) and they're holding them till the coupon(s) go live so they can return/rebuy and get them for nothing or super cheap.

As for me, I've never had the time or money to do all of that just to try and make sure I get a deal, but I will try for a copy each of Let's Tap and Saint's Row 2 once the coupon goes live.

Actually, SD probably killed it before it happened - I am pretty sure BB, BBV, HWV etc. are smart enough to watch the internet and modify accordingly. Hence the massive crash in Blockbuster TIVs. It was only a matter of time before Best Buy caught it - perhaps the last price guide drop did it??

Uh, no. There is always a gap of a day or two before the new coupons/special offers get posted. Everyone needs to just chill.
 
I just hope they still bring back the $10 off Silent Hill SM coupon on the 21st. It was good last week, but the game doesn't come out til this week :whistle2:(

Wow. Seriously? You think that they have the manpower to monitor stuff like this?

BB TIVs went for years before they changed them, and only then because their business is failing.

You act like no one on CAG hoards the shit out of games when deals like this happen. Yet, how many people bought up all of the copies of XBlades the last time this happened solely for flipping to Gamestop or wherever? Go check the GS thread if you don't believe me. People are inherently greedy and they screw it up for themselves by not being cautious when exploiting these deals.

I know I'm guilty of it and due to that fact I am essentially stonewalled most every time when Best Buy has a guide drop anymore, since I used to clean out the local two stores of penny guides. For a while I was even going to a much further BB store, but the employees there must've been told not to sell them AT ALL after my first couple successful runs there, as I've been blocked from buying them for .01 there now too.

But to think that only Slick Deals and Fat Wallet have caused this drought of exploitable deals is a bit naive. Look in the mirror before putting blame on someone else.

Exactly, when this coupon comes out take a gander at the trading forum, you'll see people asking for 15-25 bucks for Saints Row 2 and have like 10 copies of it.

I just want 2, one for me and one for my brother.
