Iron Giant - it's a very well made story with great animation. It's a boy and his dog but the dog is a gaint alien war machine with amnesia and the dog catcher is the US governement.

Zim - Only reason I'm going ahead with this rather than the collectors pack is because I already have the first DVD and I'm not about to have bought it for nothing. Kick ass show thou!

Galaxy Rangers - It holds up mostly with sporatically better animation on some episodes than others but generally no worse than some japanese tv series DVDs.

Kaena - French made CG movie, from humble beginings to finished product was a pretty straight foward scifi movie. Kinda wished it was a little longer and had a couple more action scenes.
 
I got my order in.... I hope... it kept doing that too many connections please refresh thing, but finally after refreshing a few times it claimed my order went through. Still nothing for my order status though and no e-mail, although they say it takes up to 24 hours to show. I'm crossing my fingers. BTW total for me was about 370$, but now I'm done for christmas, I told my family I just wanted DVD's for x-mass so basically the entire 370$ is my family's christmas presents to me.

rather than frustatingly slamming the keys anytime soon, i will probably think about what i really want and place an order midweek early morning or late at night.

Igby Goes Down is actually for my girlfriend who really likes it, I liked it too but it isn't a movie I would want to own, I liked Garden State a lot more.

Am I the only one that thinks that amazon have cheaper prices for dvds (through some resellers) than ddd with the 20 percent discount? Since the DDD site was down, I just skimmed through some dvd selections on amazon. Some UFC dvds were cheaper on amazon than ddd. Guess I might purchase some dvds directly from amazon since ddd site is down. Let me know what you guys think.

Through resellers? You mean individuals selling through amazon? Are they all new, or are you comparing some used prices to ddd's new prices? Wouldn't shipping kill the savings in most cases?

u complain about people who like Eternal sunshine or Ho Tep, but u are interested in Vampiyaz...I really have to question your taste, come on now Dawn of the Dead meets Boyz in da Hood, sounds like a really great movie, for me to poop on. Get a clue

I'm not comparing used prices obviously. And its free shipping if it's over 25 dollars. A UFC dvd is like 17.99 (20% discount = 14.30) and through a reseller it's only 13.40. I'm not quite sure if it's an individual reseller or wholesale reseller. Plus there's a guarantee from amazon that states,

"When is a product "materially different" than what the seller advertised?

Just buy it. It is a great movie. It still makes makes me choke up to this day. It is about becoming something greater than yourself for a greater good. It is about how we are all ill-naturedbeings at heart but we can strive to transcend our nature. Or at least that is how I read it.

Bubba Ho-tep I've never seen so I can't comment, Igby Goes Down was alright, like I said it is for my girlfriend, but Eternal Sunshine is one of the best movies I've ever seen, I know it comes down to personal taste but I didn't think anyone with a taste for movies could not like that one.
 
eternal sunshine wasn't horrible....it was definitely the best out of the 3....but it was nowhere near as wonderful to me as it was to others....it was way too predictable to me

biker boyz and above the rim are both really good for what they are IMO...encino man is one of those movies that i saw as a young child and liked it back in the day (because once again, i was a young child when it first came out...I paid less than $5 for it a year ago, so I bought it to watch again...boohoo...) and 2 fast 2 furious was nowhere near as good as part 1....which was good IMO...than again, I like Vin Diesel....

in conclusion, you can see that i have a lot of money to waste...if i didn't, I would strictly own only my favorite movies...and if someone on here said how great encino man or 2 fast 2 furious was, i would've gladly had told them how wrong they are....i never said that my movie collection was the best of the best without any flaws....my friends, family, and i have fun with my collection....its funny how someone can state an opinion directed towards ppl in general, and than get a butt load of personal attacks...downgrading me in a smart ass way with "king among men," just because of my movie collection and my overflow of giving just about any movie a chance, 10% of the time being stuck with shit quality dvds that I'd rather keep than sell for a fourth of what I paid for them

Well at least some other people are spending big bucks as well. I spent 160 today without much thought but I'll order Smallville season 3 on tuesday to save a good bit more.

Damn these big sales, at least it's helping clear out my backlog off needed to buy DVDs...but now my poor wallet is dead.

I'm sure if you don't get on the site at like 1 am, you're going to lag horribly, it took me almost an hour with a wishlist this afternoon, darned impulsiveness and no tedency to wait.

I think it was only released as a DVD/CD combo. I don't think DDD carries anything that isn't a DVD besides the video games and accessories.
