LOL, thanks, I hadn't cleared anything past the Warpriest until last night when I did a full run and some of the jumping parts ran together in my mind. Probably because it was 3am and I was the last guy through most areas. The guys I was with said that chest could drop exotics but the rate was very low.

 
Anyone down for a fresh, chill kings fall? I'm a very good player but it's my first run. Tracking down a group now.

Ran KF last night and got new boots and shards... still no ghost shell.

Stopped at Oryx only because it kept glitching out on us:  Oryx phasing thru pillars, bombs not detonating, transporting us to the shadow fight when he hasn't been damaged.  It was a mess :bs:

Sucks cuz everything has been so smooth.

Well, did Court and faced the new level 3 boss.  I'd say it's more challenging than the Crota fanboy fight since the boss likes to head glitch (at least it seemed that way ;)). 

And if you missed it last time, today's Daily gives you another shot at Black Spindle.  Run it on your alt toon for another 310 model, plus the chance of getting the ship.

 
We got to the boss on the raid last night but tukai had to go to bed so we didnt finish.

I got ghost, shotgun, and cloak and it sounds like I'm going to keep getting those three if my luck is like 7's...

I guess tonight is black spindle hunt and then try and level another character...I dont know if the same group as last night will do orex or not. Some of our clan members are promiscuous. 

 
I did two black spindle runs. The guy invited me from reddit and refused to invite a third person because he insisted it was easier with two. Strategy was to pop a bubble on the boss with armor of light and then sword him to death. So we got him down both times but had no plan for the adds. He just kept running out while I was yelling at him to focus on the blights, knights, and centurions. But he wouldn't listen so I said fuck it and left.

My warlock always seems to have the best luck with drops when new raids come out. I got a 310 Int/Dis Bond and 310 Int/Dis gloves plus a 307 machine gun with a nice roll on my warlocks first time through the raid today. I also got another scout rifle. I'm up to 4 scout rifles from 5 oryx kills now. It's amazing how easy the raid is with a good team.  I ran it twice today with some people from here and other friends. Each run was done in less than an hour.

 
Is there a CAG community on PS4? If so, how do I join? I've only ever solo'd Destiny. But since Taken King started, these Daily challenges are too hard for me and would like help from time to time.

I'm slowly working my way up to be able to do a raid as I have only partly done Vault of Glass.

I am at 279 right now. Slowly getting there while helping my friends level up their characters.

Just got a new Hand Cannon called Byronic Hero from running Court of Crota last night with friends and some randoms.

Got like over 20 engrams and had fun.

And picked up lots more runes and another treasure key.

Wanna do some harder Prison of Elders.

I'm languishing at 305-307 depending on what weapons I equip. I completed two raids this week and I only received 2 lower level ghosts and a lower level cape. Oryx dropped me the cape on one character and a ghost on the other. The ToM really makes the raid easy. I expect a Nerf coming soon. It seems this is going to be the VOG all over again in regard to leveling up. I wish new gear would scale to current light levels.

I hope this strike is the daily on a weekend sometime so I have more time to try...or that I knew the schedule so I could take a vacation day and play with you full time destiny players lol.

 
Yeah, sorry about bugging out. I was getting tired before we started and knew I wasn't really helping. I was hoping you'd get another and be able to finish it. I need to stop trying so hard to be a full-time Destiny player and be more content with my filthy casual status.

Mayhem is super (heh heh) awesome for doing those class specific crucible challenges. I got 19 void grenade kills in one match. Then I put weapons of light on my bubble and got 15 kills with it over a couple of matches and now I'm done with bubble titan challenges.
 
I bought the last word because I wanted to get that shotgun but I got like zero progress doing daily and going ham...Guess I'll try it during iron banner.

 
So what are some good special weapons to infuse? I have 2 310 spindles I want to feed into legendaries and make those 310 instead. I was thinking susanoo. Already made a 310 1000 yard stare. Warlocks fusion and scout that's for the class are amazing.

You know aside from the 1000 stare, I would love to have a Telesto so I could infuse it with my other 310 or a Hereafter. Other than that it seems my Chaperone is going to get that infusion

Telesto is awesome. It really packs a punch. I think I'm going to infuse susanoo and telesto. Both are really good fusions lol.
 
I bought a couple Chaperones and took them to 300 and I took another one to 307 with the Spindle. Once they drop the attack value on the Spindle I am just going to buy one and infuse it right back up with those.

 
Finished off Oryx and got a 305 cloak and 305 hand cannon. 

Earlier I popped a 3oC prior to my Black Spindle run and got a 310 Monte Carlo from killing the boss.  BS is gonna get infused; leaning towards my raid shotty.  I want to infuse Monte Carlo into my Hung Jury but might hold off until I get the FWC pulse rifle, that sucker looks pretty good as-is.

Pushed my Malice and Sword Quests along to the next step.  Think I need 3 more fragments to progress on Malice. And need to go to Mars for materials on the sword.

Experienced something odd with Shaxx's bounties.  A friend and I finished them... turned them in, got the 6th bounty completed and nothing popped. No rewards, no message, ZIPPO.  Same happened to my friend.  This morning I checked my postmaster and see a skullfort helm.  I can only guess that it was my reward for completing those bounties since I don't remember getting it anywhere else

Man am I annoyed right now. Did the raid with a really good group so it went super smooth. I got jack shit though. I got the titan mark at 305 from the daughters. Then from Oryx, I got the same mark, but at 300. And that's all Oryx gave me. So I was like damn I better have some shit at my postmaster. I checked and it used my mouldering shards, so I was like damn I bet I have something. I run to my postmaster and I did have something!

A fucking antiquated rune.

Wow, that's bad. I've cleared it twice, both times with the 20 shards. The first time I got the Hand Cannon and I think arms (they were in the post so they could have come from earlier as well). People on the Xbox One thread were saying you should get more than 2 things. I did it again last night and got 3 things: scout rifle, auto rifle, and chest (for my Titan and a crappy 300). That was OK. But the people I LFG'd it with said they got FOUR items when they used their shards before. WTF!?

I think the shards guarantee you 1-2 extra things. You get 0-2 things normally. So you got the crappiest possible result in getting nothing from normal Oryx RNG and then only one thing from the shards and it was the rune instead of gear. Wow...

anyone doing crucible? I need the "As A TEAM" bounty. just complete 5 matches as a fire team. I finally finshed that crucible quest line a few days ago.

I had some OK luck during other fights. Got a 305 sniper, a ghost, and a 305 chest piece. I'm sitting at 305 light with my normal load out due to awesome 310 rolls on both my pulse rifle and my shotgun last week. Plus the chest and arms I have both have pulse rifle perks so I really could be doing a lot worse. But fuck it just sucks to beat Oryx and get a god damn antiquated rune from him.

So it's your fault that pop-up kept coming up...over....and over.....and over. I joined and it kept telling me I was invited to join. Obviously their is an issue with this feature.
 
Same deal here. The 7th Number invited me to join "Dance Guardian Dance". So I did. Then I received about 6 pop-ups over the next hour telling me he had invited me.
 
Finally got past the last word (jolly holliday) part of the quest. That has to be the most annoying quest in the game. The stats it shows makes absolutely no sense. I would die and gain percentage, go on a 5 killstreaks and only gain 1 percent, and dying would take me down any where from 1-3%...thank god that's over with. I spent an entire day working on that.

Spent most of last night helping friends (and occasionally benefiting from it ;) ).

Helped out on a raid, using my titan, and got the raid fusion and shards. Think I'm 0-14, more or less, on getting a raid Ghost shell.

Helped someone advance their ToM quest, doing the Black Garden mission. I later got my 30th fragment and did the bunker mission to advance to the Black Garden mission, so now I get to do it all over again :roll: . Then helped the same guy do the last mission for ToM. By the time I get to that step, I'll have run it at least 3 times... better believe I'm asking y'all for help with that :lol: .

Tried advancing my exotic sword quest but never once got the material from relic iron and I was at it for 30min before I went to help out. That's gonna be one big long slog. Bad enough that I have to get void kills on my hunter, but they RNG the isht out of getting the materials... fuck you Bungie for bringing back a grind, worse than anything we've ever had.

Yeah, really odd way that it progresses.

My first crack at it, I used LW for an entire match. Topped the leaderboard and I had 20% progress. Next match I came in 2nd, still had a positive k/d and it knocked me down to 17%. So I'm not sure what I did wrong for it to do that. Eventually had a couple of bad matches and went down to 3% (that's what I get for trying to get other bounties done at the same time).

What I do now is go in with weapons I like (hopscotch), build up a good score & k/d, and then switch to Last word for the last couple thousand team points. Got me back up to 23% in 3 games.

This keeps me from losing points if I get off to a bad start or get laggy matches, bad teammates, etc.

BTW, in-game it shows you a percentage to completion. But the Destiny app gives you point totals. I'm currently at 351 of 1500points

EDIT: looked into it a little and it seems like multi-kills are the best way to advance your score. Also, you get 1% per kill (2% if you headshot), but lose 2% when you die.. Multi-kills give you a 5% bonus.

This kinda makes sense of my experience... that initial boost was in a match where I was tearing it up with Last Word (and I almost never use LW); the other players were pretty bad :lol:

the pulse rifle I got from the gunsmith in my order is tight...it could shoot a little faster but once its leveled i think it will own...it has headseeker and rangefinder

 
Today I did the weekly crucible bounties. They don't take that long. Most time consuming one is win 7 games. Although I did get on a lot of really shitty teams for elimination. The other team would have master snipers who could hit you with a headshot from across the map, around six walls, behind five bushes, underneath a platform, and just because they heard you breathe from that far away. My teammates would rush them, in the same lanes every time, maybe kill one and die when the other two took them down. Every single time. I quit every game I started where either of my teammates ran off on their own. If you want to be fucking Rambo, go play rumble.

But anyway, I got a 310 Invective for completing the bounties. That was pretty cool, but I don't use Invective and I already had two so I infused it into my raid sniper to bring that up to 310.
