Hours played does not equal quality if you are grinding the same BS and low quality encounters. The game right now is in the state it should have been at release. Improvements to resource farming (no more 4 hour patrols in a circle at scablands to upgrade raid armor with relic iron), the destiny app, more bounty slots, matchmaking weekly heroic, etc. have made the game much better. Now you can focus on actually playing the game and doing activities you want to do. The activities themselves do need improvements, but generally the community, camaraderie, and excellent gunplay make it still a fun game to play.

I was thinking the same thing. Someone coming in new with The Taken King is getting a great experience. Far better than what we play-tested. And that's to be expected when you're living in the moment versus coming in a year later.

That's why I'm seriously considering holding off on TTK until next year. A lot of new stuff coming out this year, that I actually WANT to play and it'll give me time away from Bungie's BS. And things should be refined better next year too.

We'll see; there's still plenty of time between now and September.

 
I have a random Destiny question. I actually enjoy streaming just for fun. Would any of yall be up to helping me possibly build a community or just hang out while I stream destiny and play with friends/randoms/viewers? If I could get a great internet connection I would even consider trying to help people to Trials flawless if possible. Ill never guarantee a flawless though there are so many random factors that could break me down.

 
Trials is Cauldron again, great map IMO but not sure if it's worth the shenanigans again.

Wow.....Rumble is horseshit. I just lot 3 matches in a row to 3-man teams that were cheesing kills off of each other.

ALSO, the respawn system is trash. At least twice per match I'd spawn in on the SAME SPAWN POINT as another guy AT THE SAME TIME. Que complete bullshit.

I'd watch if you were on, but i think whenever I get the notification that you're on, it's usually like 12AM or later for me, and I'm never on that late watching things.

But also, if you just put something in your title about "Helping viewers with flawless trials!" that should snag viewers. Even if you're not guaranteeing it, just the chance of getting help is something people would watch for.
 
...and ToO is a buggy/laggy piece of shit again. Nothing but poor connections of players you literally can't kill. Sniped through closed doors, 3 shotgun blasts to the face with no kill, etc.

It's truly amazing that Bungie can't get their servers in order to handle the increased players on weekends.
 
Finally made it to the promise land and it was glorious. I wasn't super excited when I saw the map, but I got to the Lighthouse first try with my buddies. I ended up getting a solar Scholar.
 
I just did 35 on my Titan again with two virgin warlocks. If anyone wants to try it this week and can be the Titan so I can run my hunter I'd be happy to help anyone that needs it for the emblem.
 
I want the stuff from trials but my only Pvp experience is in iron banner, my hunter is 1.25 Kd but I'm not sure it translates well to trials style play.

We will probably do a run or two to rehearse.  They guys in the video are lv31/32, so being 34 will make it even easier.

I can probably bring one or two extra people.  It will be fun since we will actually do the raid, rather than just cheese everything.

Let me know if you are down!  Obviously, I'd like experience Crota runners, but with rehearsals most should be ok.  The hardest part keeping everyone alive is actually the lamps at the beginning, from there it isn't too bad.

I tried to solo it and it's very doable, but I always make a mistake.  I can run sword for the group, but I know some people really take pride in the sword so I'm willing to let someone more experienced go ahead.

I need this damn Platinum so I can retire for a bit.  The stupid Black Hammer won't drop for me and it's getting nerfed so there is basically no point to continue for me since I have all the weapons/gear I want at this point.

You MUST have a Ghallyhorn in order to play on his team. It's totally a requirement in order to beat Skolas.

Also gthirst, just let a hunter invis run through the lamp. It's the safest thing to do when running flawless. Everything else is easier to do legit though. 2 or more bubble bros would also help.

Yeah, was thinking I would have some one with "don't touch me" do it. Even if the person dies, it's right at the start.

The more i stay away from destiny the more i dont want to go back. Its weird, maybe i dont want to get hooked again, doing the same things over and over and over, the game is literally addicting. I do miss playing with everybody though, i think thats what kept me going back really. The game is fun when you get to play with some cool people. But as for the game, i have enough strange coins, motes, etc. I did turn it on last night to do a weekly, after 1/3 i decided i didnt want to do the other two. I did some queen bounties to get a key. I did want to do a 32/34 poe, but thats only because i want a chance to get hunter exotic boots that i dont have. Otherwise i wouldnt bother. I traded in BatmanAK for a cool $40 credit yesterday. So i might start up Borderlands 2 finally. Still might want to do a quick POE or two tonight if anyone is interested. Not sure if i will be on sunday or monday. Tuesday ill be back for sure to do nightfalls though. :)

 
I'm getting on now and need to do 34 and I guess I'd do 32 for shits and giggles...I dont want to do 35 all the time, but I'd like to get the shader for my hunter at least. I got a 2nd ship but not the shader or emblem again on my titans second round.

I can do bubble on the flawless crota attempt or hunter...I dont care really...

As far as titan load out for 35 I use the poe armor for the perks...if you have boots with agility against fallen those have served me super well when I need to get across the map in like 2 jumps at a good speed. I use saint 14 so when you get rushed by captains you can blind them and sword vandals then shotgun them to death. For primary whatever is fully acended or leveled and you can kill stuff with. Either POE pulse or VOC is what I usually end up using. Then I use 4th horseman until the enemies are clear...I switch between that and ice breaker to hit the boss between rounds of enemies. I use an arc heavy usually a tracking rocket but any leveled heavy with tracking or thunderlord or something is fine. We end up using heavy on the waves of enemies and sniper or primary on skolas once the poison starts.

It usually takes a few hours because with new people it takes time to get used to the poison swap thing if you have not done it. Then they throw the mines in there and a new wave of enemies spawn with the mines so its easy to get wiped if you dont have a bubble or self res ready. When you have an invis hunter its a lot easier and last night we did not so there was lots of time when one or all of us would go down only to be saved by a res and revive everyone it was scary...It might be easier next week if its not trickle and angry LOL.

I picked this game up with my PS4 a while ago- played through the base game, but I want to do the weekly nightfalls and other stuff. Do I have to buy the DLC's to do most of the extra stuff? I feel like I'm completely missing out on the fun. It wouldn't hurt to join a team for strikes either :D

You can do the majority of nightfalls without the DLC. The DLC has two strikes, and on a week where those are the nightfall, if you don't have the DLC you won't be able to do them. You also need the DLC to access Trials and Prison of Elders. If you're not dying to do that stuff right away, but have an interest in getting everything eventually, I would suggest The Taken King pack in September that has the base game and all DLCs for $60.

 
Hey, can some of you guys add me if you want another CAG on your list to do weekly stuff with? It's a drag dealing with LFG. All arenas, nightfall, and raids mainly.

34 warlock with decent weapons and I'm fairly experienced in all of it. No mic since I have 2 little ones close by sleeping when I'm on after their bedtimes so please don't expect one

Even though some people are such snobs about mics the funny thing is my best group never has any mics.
 
Finally got the Hopscotch Pilgrim after grinding dragon strikes for almost 2 weeks.  The wait felt longer than the time it took for my first Gjallarhorn. 

Now its time to get the perfect roll.

Most people are much more nicer there. The two times i did try one of those LFG sites, the people were complete a-holes so I stopped all together trying to find groups using that site.

Is the hopscotch really that good?

On my quest to get one, my buddy got it to drop (he had no idea what it was). I told him to give it a try in PvP and now it's the only weapon he uses. He swears by it now. We've played hours of strike playlists to get it to drop again and neither of us has seen it again.
 
I got outlaw, braced frame and rangefinder.  I think hidden hand would have been a little better, but I'm going to keep it considering it only took me 5 re-rolls.  Thinking of trying to get another one, but I'll need to take a long break from strikes first.

That's sexy as hell.

You know, you can play Rocket League and leave Destiny in the disc drive. It's technically not cheating.

I've really enjoyed Rocket League private matches with friends. You guys are cool to talk to. Any interest in grouping up for that one of these days?
 
Figured I would play through this "Batman" game all of you were talking about. Got to the mission right before I fight the Arkham Knight. Game still thinks enemies remain and won't let me proceed....but also saved after I killed the last enemy. Arrows lead me in a giant circle with no way to reset the mission. Dying and backing out lead to the same issue. Only thing I can do is start all over again. Contrary to what most have said about this game, I was really not having any fun at all anyways.

Guess its back to Destiny!
