Destiny (PS3/PS4) Official Thread

Vog was mostly a bust for me. I did get hunter chest and helmet, but that's really all I got that I lacked. I want the fusion rifle but that's like the crux of vog...it was pretty fun...I have not done vog in forever...

 
Anything else exciting happen in last night's raid(s)? I got an invite from Tukai and by the time I eventually hopped over I saw you had six, so I don't know what that was about.

 
Yeah they were really strict. At 8:05 he yelled at me an another dude for not being in orbit yet. He was using his dad voice and everything.

 
Sorry We have people ready to raid and 8pm is already starting late. I sent out invites and I don't think Langdon joined until we were on the last wave of legions. I'm trying to help everyone get the most opportunities to finish 2 runs, get the loot they want  and I had only done VOG hm less than a dozen times myself. Nothing personal, I'm old school Everquest and we would have 72 people ready to raid on time. I thought everything went well

 
I was kidding about the yelling, and I was waiting for them to say they were ready and turning in a bounty not fighting anything. The other guy was fighting wolves :)

I was on like at 7:30 and about 7:45 joined tukai and he was doing a bounty for killing sword guys so I did a bounty real quick and turned it in and was just standing around waiting. No one said they were in orbit or ready to go until 8:05 :)

Anyway, I was just joking around with langdon about missing the raid because he joined the party late not butthurt about it or anything.

 
I found it all funny, and I haven't raided with tukai...  just the idea of  the "dad voice" has me :rofl:

 
All you people laughing at my age will get an extra dose of Jessie Spano tonight. Also the Destiny Gods have to reward me with a Gally for raiding tonight on my wedding anniversary.

 
Skolas kill got me nothing :wall: .

Think that's 2 or 3 straight fights where he doesn't drop a weapon or cipher for me. And the chest held more crud.

You can't be a true poser if you aren't running thorn in PvP :p :lol:

Hahaha... I've never raided with any of you guys but I find these recaps and stories very entertaining and funny. I can only imagine how entertaining your raids are in person.

Ran a handful of Dragon Strikes last night and still no Hopscotch. I did get an exotic though... another Thunderlord!   :wall:

This week only, we’re setting the Trials of Osiris playlist to “random,” just like the Elimination playlist, but on the six Trials maps where you’ve made your weekend homes."

You basically have a Titan pop a bubble to create orbs. Other titans would then use those orbs and create more orbs via bubble. It's useful for holding a zone. The group I went against was doing it in Clash, so they were just sitting ducks.

See that's not something I would expect in PVP, at least in any kind of viable form without a full fireteam.

I thought you were referring to some kind of exploit with running double/triple bubbles gives more super energy than it should....or something.

Ehhh....maybe we should make a 6 man group with titans and see how that turns out.

 
Sorry I couldnt run tonight guys my wife got up just after I got the invite and wanted dinner. It was 50/50 she was gonna just not get up till morning...the cat decided to keep me from raiding and her from resting by singing the song of its people at maximum volume.

:bs: Why? They should have swapped spawns between rounds instead.

 
So not only will people have to roll the dice getting a good match-up, but now we have to pray to RNGeezus that we get a decent map AND the good spawn?

Bungie doesn't actually play the game.

 
Dylan and I can not raid next Thursday. So could we do Crota or VOG Tuesday instead? And then Wednesday we do whichever wasnt done the day before. Otherwise we can stick to the normal plan and just need to fill mine and Dylan's spot. My mom is coming in from India

 
I'd be fine with that. I can always do Nightfalls on another day.

Speaking of Nightfalls, Tukai: Are you still willing to team with me for 1 more run through Omnigul so I can do it with my Warlock? Perhaps we could do that before/after a PoE.

I'm good for one of those days, but probably not both. Two days in a row is a bit much for me. (and when I say "me," I mean "my marriage")

You should let her watch you do the raid:

"Mom! Mommommommommom!!!! Watch me shoot these aliens! Boom! We're gonna shoot all these guys! MoooOOOOm! They won't give me the gallarhorn! Make them give it to me!!!!"

 
I suggest letting your mom play the game. She might get into it, and you could cheer her on.

"That's it, Mom! Whip Skolas the way you did to me in the 80's!"
 
My mom doesnt like watching me kill anything. You don't want to know the lectures that happened during Red Dead Redemption.

 
Since Dylan can do swordbearer on crota HM I have an idea also we can use in a pinch. If 3 we do 3 runs and we have Ignatia, Dylan does one on his Hunter, Ignatia on his, and then Dylan uses my hunter (I use his character). We can get 3 runs this way if people want. I have a 9 warlock that by Tuesday I believe I can get to 34. I have some exotic pieces, and a couple of EL's to ascend other gear he has.

 
Someone explain to me why the Gjallarhorn is such a highly sought after weapon. I got it, immediately put it in storage and never touched it (not a fan of rocket launchers).
