That's what I do - i have a MF set that I swap in for the Jailor and Butcher.
Don't seem to be tough enough for Act II unless you are supposed to die every minute to sand wasps and though leaping things.
Ha, nope. That's how I feel about act 3 atm, so unless you know it's your gear it might be time to start looking at ways to improve your spec.
So out of sheer boredom I started putting together a spreadsheet that would allow you enter credentials on a piece of gear and rank it versus what you currently have equipped or known legendary/set items. The problem I'm running into is I'm terrible at math and coming up with static variables for EP (or expected potential) is proving impossible without just bullshitting it. Giving weight to stats like percentages is incredibly difficult because crit and crit damage feed off each other, so a piece of gear with both would need a separate statistical value. I'm not worried about scaling with what's already equipped, only comparing to like items (helm, neck, etc) so if anyone out there would like to crunch some numbers, we could feasibly produce a light-weight tool for excel users for gearing. Also, the set of values would need to be weighted twice: one for tank specs and the other for DPS specs. IAS is clearly more meatier for DPS as their life depends on it and values like block % would be 0 for them, obviously. Note: I've only done this so far for the Barbarian and for now I'd keep it that way as a proof of concept.
I've kept the point scale low (0.0-4.0) so far, with 0 being awful. Any elitist jerks out there? Bueller. . .
